Holy shit. I finally watched “Bitches Brew” tonight. There's really no plot, just random venting of Shane in this. I'unno, I'm trying to cram as much The Shield fics into the fandom as humanly possible. (Random fact: “Miseria Cantare” is a song by AFI. It is Spanish for “misery will sing.” I dunno, thought it was neat.)

Disclaimer: The Shield of a product of Shawn Ryan's mind. Yea.

How could he have been so stupid? He should have seen it coming. How could he have thought it was over? He knew that it would have come to this that instant Vic had sworn to kill the man who killed Lem. He just – he just hadn't really believed it.

He was stupid for thinking it was over.

He knew he deserved it. Deserved it for murdering an innocent friend.

But it didn't make it right.

Vic and Ronnie were in the wrong, too. Setting him up like that to have him killed? Tampering with his gun? Well, two could play at this game.

He had left work after the disaster with Farrah and went straight to Two Man's. He, for a lack of better word, blackmailed a scum-bag, whore-killer into doing his dirty work. He could almost smirk – hadn't he done the cowardly thing, too, back when he had killed Lem? He has used the Salvadorans as an scapegoat – taken the heat away from him.

He was a coward. At least he could admit it.

Well, if he was going down, he wasn't going down alone.
