11. Protecting Me – Aly & AJ
Prowl grabbed Bumblebee roughly, jerking him aside.
“Hey—“ Bumblebee began to protest, but it was cut short as an explosion nearby drowned out anything he might have said after. It shut him up anyway.
Prowl set him down and lunged at the Decepticon, leaving Bumblebee somewhat frustrated. Why couldn’t he ever do anything like that? He lunged into battle after Prowl, landing a few hits on the enemy, before noticing a second. He let out a gasp before leaping at Prowl, tackling him to the ground with a cry of the older bot’s name.
“Bumblebee! What are you—“ Now was his turn to be cut off, as a second explosion shattered the air above. Bumblebee smirked.
“Now we’re even.”

12. Little Wonders – Rob Thomas
“What is that?” Bumblebee said in wonder, his optics widening at the tiny white flakes floating down before him. Sari giggled.
“It’s called snow. Don’t you have it back on Cybertron?”
Bumblebee shook his head, reaching out and attempting to catch the flake. It hit his finger, and he looked even more surprised.
“It’s cold!” He said in wonder. Sari giggled again.
“Well duh. It’s made from really cold water.”
“What do you use it for?”
“This!” Bumblebee didn’t even have time to turn before a ball of the freezing stuff hit his chassis. He jumped.
“Hey, that’s cold!” He grabbed a small handful and threw it back at her, but she easily dodged.
“C’mon, you’re gonna have to do better than that!”
And so it went, until it was too cold to continue and the two could only retreat back inside and watch the snow fall out the window, drinking what Sari had called hot chocolate. Out of nowhere, the small human asked a question.
“Bumblebee? You’re gonna be my friend forever, right?”
Bumblebee blinked and turned. “What makes you ask?”
“Y’know… you’re my best friend.” She took a sip of the chocolate. “And… I’ve never really had any other friends.”
Bumblebee smiled understandingly. “Me either. And you’re my best friend too.”
She smiled softly, her question answered completely. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome.”

13. Bumblebee – DDR Soundtrack
Prowl growled with irritation, turning away and beginning to walk away. Realizing that he’d crossed the line, Bumblebee grabbed his shoulder.
“Prowl—wait.” He said, the beginnings of an apology forming on his lips.
“What?” Prowl asked icily, with a look that shut Bumblebee up right away.
“I- I just…”
Prowl sighed. “Forget it, Bumblebee.”
Bumblebee’s shoulders slumped as Prowl kept walking. But as Prowl was almost out of the room, the younger bot grabbed him from behind and hugged him.
“I’m sorry, Prowl.” He murmured, looking downcast.
Prowl turned and allowed himself to smile softly. Bumblebee perked up instantly. The yellow mech could be annoying at times, but moments like this made it all worthwhile.

14. Viva La Vida – Coldplay
Optimus looked out over the battlefield, feeling as cold and empty as it was. Certainly, they had won, but what was even the point? Why did he even care anymore?
Bodies littered the ground in every direction, their life’s blood poured out over the ground around them. And… it was his fault.
He had led them here. He had asked them to fight. He had led them into battle…
And only he had survived.
If he could have traded places with them, he would have. He would have in a heartbeat. But he had to face the truth – he couldn’t, he’d never be able to.
He lowered his head, tears streaming down his faceplate and landing in the snow below.
It wasn’t worth it.

15. Trigger Happy – Weird Al
There was a slight rustle in the nearby bushes, and Ironhide began blasting away. A rabbit burst from the bushes, bolting away at top speed, while from the other direction, Decepticon fire began.
“Y’know, these missions might be just a bit easier if you’d stop giving our location away!” Ratchet snapped angrily. Mirage grunted agreement. Cliffjumper got suspicious.
“You know, he does give our location away every time we go on a stealth mission…”
Ironhide, Ratchet, and Mirage glared and gave a simultaneous response. “Shut up!”

16. Just My Imagination – The Cranberries
A genuine smile crossed Sari’s face as she leaned back contentedly. Everything would be all right, she now knew that much. She rested her head on Bumblebee’s chest and closed her eyes, allowing herself to forget what was happening. She was home in this warehouse, surrounded by her family, the ones she loved.
Her father would be alright, she had to believe this. Everything would be alright, everything would come back, no matter what Porter C. Powell had to say on the matter.
Real or not, she was home.
She existed.
And it felt good.

17. So Small – Carrie Underwood
Mirage couldn’t help but worry.
What would people think? He was high-society, expected not to look at commoners, let alone date one. What would happen when he came back to Cybertron? What would his friends think? His superiors, his neighbors? And most importantly, what would his parents think?
Beyond that, how would it even work out? He couldn’t expect Hound to leave his home, but he knew that they lived fairly far away from each other. And what about Hound’s parents? Would they think he was too far away? Too rich? Too much of a snob?
“Hey, ‘Raj!”
Hound’s arms were suddenly around him, a kiss planted on his cheek. He smiled, returning the hug. Ah, what the hell. They were in a war and everything.
He loved Hound, everyone else’s opinions be damned.

18. Someday – Nickelback
Skyfire looked after Starscream sadly, watching the jet flying until even the smoke left behind had vanished. When finally the last trace was gone, he sat down and sighed.
He didn’t like this war-bound, blood-thirsty ‘con. He missed his Starscream, the one he sat with and studied with, the one he played with and talked with. He just missed Starscream, that much was clear to everyone, but none of them really understood how much. He let out another sigh and steeled himself to go back to the battle. The others needed him, after all.
He and Starscream were just never meant to be. But he would never admit this, even to himself, because he was afraid if he did, his heart would break beyond repair.
