Yuusha Warrior Rescue
Prologue
In a time of need the planet created warriors to protect this world from danger. Great beasts of scales that ruled the planet were the first to see these beings when the heavens struck down with rocks of great sizes. Many were stopped that was except one and the great beasts disappeared. The warriors, though not pleased with the loss of life, resigned to sleep in forms of jewels. Thirteen coloured crystals scattered all across the planet to return when needed.
Ice blanketed the planet seeing almost dead, but the grass returned and with it more beasts of a different kind emerged. Several great freezes came and gone and the beasts grew smaller and more diverse. Then a creature appeared. It was bipedal and lived in groups using tools to hunt, to live and thrive. Soon small huts became villages, then towns and soon great cities rose from what were once plains and forests. As this creature thrived and became the new rulers of the planet, tales of ancient times of great beings that appeared when great calamity threaten the world. Cave walls, carved temples, told of these beings as warriors that were once jewels. Legends and myths were passed from tribes of many races all of them the same all of them honoured. The legendary warrior jewels were found by accident protected, idolized. Shrines, great temples even pyramids built to tell those of the future of the protectors that held the power to save the planet from calamity.
I am now a watcher of the jewel, to await a time to pass the duty of keeping the legend alive. Time ages all I am not an exception but I tell the tale to those who listen. Labeled as a hermit that lives in a cave within a deep mountainous ravine of stone I fulfill my duty. “When evil threatens, a power is awakened. The twelve jewels shine bright and the great warriors of metal stand tall, protecting life.”
Hidden by the sands of time, lay a temple forgotten by many. Knowledge kept alive only by the legend it holds. A power created by the planet itself in the form of a large coloured jewel, one of many. Within this jewel a warrior of metal sleeps, ready to reawaken and protect the life of the world if threatened. After thousands of years lost to the unforgiving desert of Egypt the temple once again gains its freedom from its tomb. Masons and excavators were busy chipping at the sealed stone doors. The sun reached its highest point in the sky by the time the doors are unsealed and opened. Cheers of triumph echo within the darkened corridors. The first group of people enter the stone temple and the first steps inside were taken.
Rooms were searched, corridors traveled, traps defused for the goal was reached. With a ceiling higher then a small building, a hallway with walls carved with the story and legend that lay beyond the large doors ahead. It’s beyond these two doors the treasure they seek awaits. It took several men to push the massive stone doors open allowing entrance to a room, ceiling high and walls lined with giant stone statues of armored warriors. Torches provided enough light to reach the far end of the room where another much larger statue sat. One of the men pointed to the largest statue speaking in his native tongue about what lay in the hands of the great carving. Another man made his way to the statue with a grin. Reaching out he retrieved a deep blue jewel and held it within his hand, his reflection staring back at him from the many facets of the crystal. The man’s grin only grew wider.
“So we found it,” a crisp dressed man said sipping from his glass of wine as he stood in front of a case which held a sapphire blue jewel from Egypt, “and this is the last of the legendary Yuusha Jewels?”
“Yes sir, according to our records there are twelve jewels in which the legend stated, this one is the twelfth,” the scientist said, his glasses slipping down his nose only to be pushed back up.
“Excellent, awaken him.”
“Sir?”
“Awaken him, as you did the others. Do I have to repeat myself?” the larger man demanded slamming his glass on the table causing it to shatter. The scientist jumped as his employer shouted.
“Y-Yes sir, right away.” The smaller built scientist scurried to a machine and began pressing keys and buttons activating it. Within the case a beam of light struck the jewel and it began to glow. “Re-Genesis process: 50.”
The employer grinned as the glowing grew in intensity until it caused a blinding flare. Both men shielded their eyes waiting for the light to fade. When it did the case was empty and not far away stood a giant being of metal and circuitry. From the jewel a robot at least thirty feet in height had emerged.
“Excellent have him placed with the others.”
“If I may ask sir, what do you plan to do with them?” the scientist as looking to his employer who stared at the robot.
Why use their power of course!” the well suited business man replied not taking his eyes off the metal warrior, “with the twelve Yuusha Warriors, I will be unrivaled.”
“Wouldn’t that be dangerous, what if you’re unable to control them?”
“Hmm. Yes I see where you worry.” Turning to the smaller man the business man’s grin vanished as he became deep in thought, “very well we shall test their responsiveness to commands.”
“How do you propose we do that sir?”
“Reprogram them to accept commands. We’ll create an organization bring in volunteers to be test subjects. We’ll have this organization dedicated to rescue and safety to ward away suspicions. Applicants will be trained. A facility will need to be built, housing for the volunteers, hire training instructors, it’ll all be legitimate and those with top marks and outstanding evaluations will be chosen as the Yuusha’s controllers. Once testing is complete, we’ll keep the facility open draw in investors. Either way I win. Hahahahaha…”
The man’s assistant standing by the elevator, who had not yet spoken, began writing down the details as the business man spoke them. The scientist cast a doubtful expression towards the awakened warrior before turning around to the begin preparations for reprogramming all the warriors. The business man continued laughing making his way to the elevator only to stop a moment when the assistant asked a question.
“What will we be calling this organization, sir?” she asked.
The employer smiled and stepped into the elevator followed by his assistant, before the doors closed he answered, “Yuusha Warrior Rescue.”
Unseen by both men and woman, nearly hidden by the blue visor the eyes of the robot glowed for a moment before once again darken.
The gate is wide
The road is paved in moderation
The crowd is kind and quick to pull you in
Welcome to the middle ground
You're safe and sound and
Until now it's where I've been
'Cause it's been fear that ties me down to everything
But it's been love, Your love, that cuts the strings
So long status quo
I think I just let go
You make me want to be brave
The way it always was
Is no longer good enough
You make me want to be brave
Brave, brave
I am small
And I speak when I'm spoken to
But I am willing to risk it all
I say Your name
Just Your name and I'm ready to jump
Even ready to fall...
Why did I take this vow of compromise?
Why did I try to keep it all inside?
I've never known a fire that didn't begin with a flame
Every storm will start with just a drop of rain
But if you believe in me
That changes everything
So long, I'm gone
So long status quo
I think I just let go
You make me want to be brave
I wanna be brave
The way it always was
Is no longer good enough
You make me want to be brave
Brave, brave
