Disclaimer: I don't own Dean or Sam Winchester, or any other characters you might recognize! I do own all of the other characters!

A/N: So this takes place after the latest episode "Yellow Fever". Just a little forward note XD Hope ya enjoy.

Chapter One: Summer Nights

There was a still silence in the air. Dean didn't elaborate on what he'd seen in the moments before he almost died. Sam thought it best to just keep quiet, thinking about his disicion to stop using his powers. Sam didn't think that Ruby would have tricked him, but she was still a demon so there was truth behind Dean's words. The hum of the Impala's engine and the familiar tunes of Zeppelin IV seeped through the speakers.

"Remember Rachel?" Sam suddenly asked out of nowhere, glancing over at his brother.

"Care to be a little more specific?" Dean replied. He'd known a handful of Rachel's in his lifetime, plus his mind was still stuck on Sam turning evil.

"In New Mexico. She saw Mom and Jess's spirits."

Dean Remembered right away once he heard Sam's words. "Yeah, what about her?"

"Nothin'," Sam muttered, but Dean gave him a look that made him continue. "I was just thinking we should go check up on her."

Dean raised his eyebrows, an almost annoyed look on his face. Sure, the girl had been nice enough to invite them over for Thanksgiving dinner--it was one of the few actual thanks the brothers had gotten from their work--but she was just a kid. "Why?" he said shortly.

"What if something happened to her or...I don't know, Dean. Look we're right on the border of New Mexico already. It'll only take a few more hours. Humor me."

Dean sighed and looked over his brother, who looked completely serious. "Alright," he grumbled.

"Summer nights, had me a blast."

"Summer nights, happened so fast."

Rachel Monroe and her best friend, Alex Brown, along with a few 'back up singers' were belting out the famous 'Grease' song at Holiday Bowl's weekly kareoke contest. Rachel sung Sandy's lines and Alex sung Danny's, while the others sang in the parts for the other girls and guys. The whole bowling alley had ceased to bowl and were all standing around watching the group of them, clapping and urging them all to finish.

By the time the song was over, the whole bowling alley erupted in claps and cheers and laughter. Rachel and the other came down off the approachs where they'd been singing and back to the seating area.

"Oh my god, that was so much fun!" Rachel exclaimed, grabbing onto Alex's arms and jumping up and down, a smile on her face. He chuckled and agreed before guiding her to one of the tables to sit at. "We should do that more often. You make a sexy Danny," she said with a laugh, fanning herself with a hand.

"Of course. Too bad he wasn't gay," Alex replied as someone went up to take a mic and attempt to sing an upbeat song.

"Mmmm...that would have kind of changed the whole story now wouldn't it?" Rachel reminded him, bushing some hair out of her face. She was now eighteen, living in an apartment with Alex and whatever boyfriend he had at the moment, and was working at the bowling alley. She'd been more than thrilled when Alex moved back just three months after his excursion to Texas.

"Hey, Rachel!"

She turned at her name, only to see Alex's older brother, Josh, walking up to them, dressed in his usual baggy clothes. He put a hand on the backs of the two seats, his arms barely bending as he did so. He was tall; even taller than Alex.

"Some guys are asking if you're here. Kinda rugged lookin'," Josh continued, looking out over the lanes instead of down at Rachel as he spoke. "Want me to send 'em over here?"

Rachel shrugged, still feeling high from the little kareoke fun she'd had. "Sure! Thanks Josh." She grinned up at him and gave him a one-armed hug before he walked off.

"Do you even know who's he talking about?" Alex asked, looking over at Rachel when his brother walked away.

She shrugged again. "Who cares? It's not like anything bad can happen in a bowling alley, Alex. There's like a hundred people here. Packed in like sardines."

The two cracked up at her little comparison and went on to talk about a few extremely funny times in their past. Just as Rachel was catching her breath from laughing so hard at an old inside joke the two have, she saw two guys walk up behind their chairs out of the corner of her eyes. She twisted in the seat and her eyes grew wide. "Sam? Dean?"

A/N: Yep, they're back. All the good funny characters XD haha. Review please! I'm writing this to try to get my writer's block gone if its a little dry or rough, that's why.
