Edo was searching frantically for Johan and Kezan. They weren't the best company, but right now he'd rather be around them than be by himself. It didn't help that he had a strange feeling that he was being followed. Followed was the wrong word. Stalked. That was what it felt like. He felt like someone, or something, was hunting him. It was frightening, to say the least, since this was a world inhapited by who knows how many vampires. They all seemed to be hiding; he hadn't actually seen one. Which made the situation more scary, in a way. Edo decided to forget about that, and focus on finding the two imbeciles. He turned around to see if they were behind him, and was met by the crazed, yellow eyes of a huge, black wolf.
Well, this is an interesting development. The lycan fled before he killed Edo. Maybe this mortal remined him of a lycan he used to know. In any case, this means there are now two lycans in the dimension. Johan and Kenzan have no chance of living. They are in a forest with a new vampire, and a new lycan. If they live, that is proof that a God, Goddess, or both, are watching over us.
"I say we go left-don!"
"Well I want to go right!"
"Left!"
"Right!"
Johan and Kenzan were in the middle of a 'lover's quarrel'. And like all lover's quarrels, it was extremely stupid.
"You go right if you want, but I'm going left. With or without you, Johan-don."
"Well, same goes to you. Except I'm going left. With or without you!"
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
With this cliche argument ending, the two went seperate ways. Sealing their fates.
Jun was sitting on a tree branch, staring at the ground in a fascinated manner. He still wasn't quite used to his new eyes. He was marveling at the shade of brown the dirt was when he smelled something. It was the most delicious thing he had ever smelled. By the time he realized it was a human full of life-giving blood, it was too late for him to get away. He could no longer control himself. So when Johan walked under his tree branch, Jun jumped down on top of him and ripped a hole in his neck with his new vampire fangs, without a single thought. Too lost in the amazing taste of the blood to care that he was killing one of his friends.
Misawa, staying alert in case any vampire were wandering around the castle as well, was exploring the great building. He was looking for a clue. For something that could tell him what was going on. There had to be some point behind all of this, and he had a feeling that the answer was hidden in this vampire castle. He spotted a open door that led to a staircase going down, deeper into the castle. Misawa entered the door and went down the stairs cautiosly, in case a trap was waiting for him. Instead, he found himself in a Medieval dungeon. Only one of the cells had its door closed, and Misawa intuitivly knew that the one in that cell held all the answers he desired. He took a calming breath, and headed towards the cell.
The hooded figure quickly headed down the hallway with Ryo behind him, trying to keep up. They were on their way so see Carmilla, who was terribly impatient, which was why the unknown vampire was going so fast. Ryo definitely did not trust Carmilla, but to prevent the death of his little brother, Ryo would do anything. He had lost Sho once, he would not lose him again. No matter what. They hurried into the throne room, which looked the same except for one huge difference. A cross surrounded by logs was in the middle of the room. Carmilla was standing in front of it, with an pure evil look in her eyes that chilled Ryo to the bone. He was in trouble.
Judai was all alone in the room, sitting in the corner, wondering where everyone went. Sho, Johan, Kenzan, Edo, Misawa, Ryo, Jun, they were all gone. Did everyone have some idea of what to do except him? He seemed to be completely useless in this dimension. It was a big transistion from being a hero. If he wasn't the hero, who was? Maybe there was no hero. Could it be that this was the end of the journey? After everything they went through, it ends here, in the hands of blood-thirsty vampires. No, Judai was not about to accept that. There had to be a way to get out of this. If they could get a vampire on their side . . . maybe they'd have a chance. Sho didn't seem like he'd help, so who? And how?
It was when he was almost back to the spot where he had left Jun, that Sho heard and smelt it. Blood, and the sound of someone crying. One of the morals and found Jun. And paid the price. Sho continued on his way, and came to the spot where Jun was crying beside the dead body of that Johan kid. Jun looked up at his maker, blood tears running down his face.
"I-I killed him . . ."
Sho approached the depressing pair, and poked the dead body with his foot. "Yup, he's dead all right. Do you want to bury him, or leave him here for the lone lycan to find and eat him?"
Jun looked up at the prince, horrified. "W-what? No! We have to bury him!"
"The lycan will probably dig him up and eat him anyway, but if that's what you want," Sho said as he beant down and started to make a hole in the ground with his hands, while a traumatized Jun stared at him.
