~~~God’s saint~~~
(A Hidan One-shot)
For Rani
God’s saint
It was like and average night. Clear skys. The chirping of crickets. The ocean waves smashing against the rocks. Some wolves howling at the moon in the background and the continue murmurs out of the door.
He sat there. A bored mixed with sarcasm plastered across his face. He sighed in pain as he clutched the pillow tighter to his chest. The fluffy object quickly absorbed all of all of his thick bloody liquid. With a huff the man tossed the dirty pillow across the room. Swearing quietly to himself he viciously grabbed another pillow off the floor to cover his chest.
“If it hurts so much? Why do it Hidan?” The man said, almost hissing at himself. “Why?”
“Because it’s my religion, it’s just the way I do things.” He murmured again. He laid down, taken in all the pain. Sometimes he would question his religion but in the end feel guilty and went outside to pray for forgiveness. He didn’t know why this feeling would come over him. It just would, and damn. It really pissed him off. A beam of moonlight shoot from the only window in the room. It hit his face and caused his slick silver hair to shine. Hidan began to ponder through his life, religion hopes and dreams. Why was he alive? Why was he working as an s-class shinobi with rouge ninja? Why?
Damn it all.
Was this all life had for him? Nobody really cared about his religion anyways. All he knew was that he loved his God and his God loved him back.
Hidan turned on his side with a sad smile. That sounded right. His God loved him. He was a saint who killed and washed away everyone’s sins. The beam of light slowly faded and Hidan closed his eyes. A warm, salty liquid began to form in the corners of his eyes. The water dripped down his cheek. He held the pillow tighter to his chest and tucked his legs in. The tears didn’t stop, neither did the smile of happiness spread across his face.
God’s saint? I like the sound of that…
