Draco/Hermione Song Fic

We were both young when I first saw you
I close my eyes and the flashback starts

Hermione Granger woke up earlier than usual one morning. All she could hear was her children and husbands snores. She turned around and saw him sleeping calmly. She placed a large grin on her face and closed her eyes.

I'm standing there on a balcony in summer air
See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns

It was fourth year and she was standing at the doors of the Yule ball with Victor Krum. They had just finished their opening dance when she went to get a drink. There at the drink table she bumped into Draco Malfoy.

“Hey who-” started Draco “Wow Granger you clean up nice.”

“Thanks Malfoy not bad yourself now let me get a drink.”

“Oh I’ll get it for you.” He poured a gall of punch and handed it to her. “Having fun?”

“Yeh. Krum’s a bit dull though.”

“Not happy with him eh?”

“I wouldn’t say that just not fun.”

“Well would you like to dance?” asked Draco holding out a dance.

“Mmmm ok”

He led her through the crowd to the middle of the dance floor. It was the most awkward time for a dance since a slow song came on. They stared at each other all through the dance. Little did she know that he was…

He was her Romeo. She had fallen for Draco Malfoy her 3 year enemy. As they kept dancing Draco suddenly stopped and turned around to some angry faces.

“What do you think your doing with her?” asked one of them.

She peaked over Draco’s shoulder and saw one with black hair and one with red. Harry and Ron ‘Crap’ she thought.

“Were just dancing.” Said Draco sounding pissed.

“Well stay away from her who knows you probably spiked her drink.” Said Ron angrily.

“I didn’t now mind your own business!” said Draco getting angry now.

Ron drew out his wand but Harry held him back. “No point Ron.” Ron lowered his wand and grabbed Hermione and pushed her out the hall.

“What in the world do you think your doing dancing with him!” said Ron angrily “He’s Malfoy for god sake!”

“Piss off Ron I was bored with Krum!” She said.

“Well I don’t want you seeing him anymore ok! I’ll be watching”

“Your so over protective Ron! I HATE YOU!”

“I’m just helping you!” said Ron surprised.

“Not working!” She pushed him and ran to the stairs and cried.

After a while she saw him emerge from the ball.

“Draco!” she called to him.

He came running and they walked for a bit.

“Draco can we go somewhere we can be alone I want to tell you something.” She said

“Certainty” He said as he walked me out of the castle. He took her to the lake and they sat down by it.

“Draco” she began taking hold of his hand. “That one dance we just ahd made me see something different in you, I’ve had a crush on you since last year and I want to know if you want to be my boyfriend.”

He stayed quiet gapped at what she just said.

“Draco, I know this is a shock but look its like you are the prince and I am the princess, you are my Romeo, it’s just like a love story, please just say yes.”

“Hermione,” he began “ I have felt this way since the first day I saw you. I admired your intelligence and your cute little face, even your bushy brown hair and I will be glad to be your boyfriend.”

She ginned jumped up and hugged him.

So I sneak out to the garden to see you

The next day she was looking forward to the night. She and Draco had planned to see each other every night in the room of requirement.

It was now 10:00 and she was on the way to the room of requirement when she bumped into Draco.

“Hey” she said smiling.

“Hey babe” Draco said then hugged her.

“Lets go but we gotta keep quiet. If Ron and Harry find out were dead.” She said as they ran.

They get inside and there it was set so romantically. Roses all around wit a bed and a fireplace. They sat on the bed and gazed into each other’s eyes. Draco grabbed hold of her hand and they lean din and kissed. It was like they were in heaven; they both have been waiting for this, forever.

“That was nice Hermione.” Draco said.

“I know,” she said, “now close your eyes and escape this place for another bit.”

They leaned in and kissed each other again.

It had been a few months since she and Draco had been seeing eachother. Then once horrible morning Draco got a howler.

“DRACO! I HAVE HEARD RUMORS THAT YOU AND GRANGER HAVE BEEN SEEING EACHOTHER! I FORBID YOU TO SEE THAT MUDBLOOD! I WILL BE TAKING YOU OUT OF HOGWARTS! I’M PICKING YOU UP TOMORROW!” with that the howler ripped up. Draco stood there open mouth and tears streaming down his face. It was from Draco’s father.

He saw her enter the great hall. He ran to her not caring who saw.

“Hermione! My father knows! He knows about us! I’m being removed form hogwarts! I might not be able to see you again!”

This was a lot for her to take in. She stood there gapped and crying heavily. Then she hugged him and cried into his chest.

“Oh please don’t go please” She begged. “You mean everything to me. Please don’t go.” She was crying so heavily tears soaked into Draco’s robes.

“I’m so sorry Hermione. I love you.”

“I love you too Draco.” Then they stood there, in the middle of the great hall, crying into each others arms.

“Sure” he said still crying.

She brang him to the same spot at the lake they sat when they first got together.

“Draco, I understand your father hates me but promise me you’ll write. I’ll remember you forever, you’re the prince and I’m the princess. This is just like a love story please say you’ll write.”

“Hermione I’ll try my best. I’ll probably be locked up at the manor for a while. But please don’t forget me. This is a love story please just say you won’t for get me.”

“I will never forget you I love you too much.”

Again they sat there in each others arms and cried.

It has been 4 months since Draco the love of her life was taken from hogwarts and she couldn’t see him. Everyone has been telling her to forget it and move on but she can’t. She still cries herself to sleep every night.

But one sunny morning a owl that she has never seen before came and dropped a letter in front of her and it was from Draco. She quickly opened it and read

Hermione,

I have been allowed to send messages to you. My father is sick of hearing me cry and my mother forbids him to torture me to stop. But not seeing you is torture enough. I love you Hermione.

Draco.

She ran up to the owlrey and scribbled out a note.

Draco,

I miss you, everyone is telling me to move on and I don’t want to move on. Their telling me how to feel. I know its difficult that we can’t see each other but if we believe that our love is real we will make it though this mess. Remember this is just like a love story, and its still being written.

I got tired of waiting, wondering if you were ever coming around

When I met you on the outskirts of town

It has been 6 years since Draco had to move from hogwarts. They were talking by owl and that has been staring to dye down. She only heard from him every month or so. She was getting tiered of always waiting for him, wondering every day if she would ever see him again.

Her faith was fading and she started to think if she should start seeing people but she knew deep down she could never love someone else. But one day she saw him sitting at a park bench waiting for someone. She walked up to him.

“Hi” she said.

“Oh My God! Hermione!” Draco stood up and hugged her.

“ I’ve missed you!”

“I’ve missed you too. My Hermione you still look awesome.” He said.

“Thanks, errrr.. Are you waiting for anyone?”

“Nope just doing some thinking.”

“What sort of thinking?” she said smiling at the fact he wasn’t expecting anyone.

“About things and the fact that I still love you and can’t get you out of my head.”

She smiled and they walked.

And I said

He knelt to the ground and he pulled out a ring

She stopped and so did Draco, they turned and faced each other and she said “Draco, I’ve been feeling so alone without you, I thought you would come and I have been waiting all this time. I was staring to think you weren’t going to come. And now you’re here and I don’t know if it’s just my imagination-”

Draco put him finger on her lips to keep her quiet. “Hermione this is not your imagination, it’s real and I want you to know I still love you and.” He got down on the ground on one knee and pulled out a ring.

“I Love you Draco and will be glad to be your wife.” He slipped the ring on her finger and they hugged.

“Good morning sweetie” she said and kissed him.
