I don't believe that we ever found out what Alice's parents real names are so I'm, just going to make them up. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Twilight characters.
Elizabeth Brandon's POV
"What a pretty baby" I cooed, looking at my new beautiful baby girl.
"What will we name her?" My husband Jonathan asked me. I thought for a moment.
"How about after your mother, Mary. Then my mother Alice. Mary Alice Brandon, I rather like that."
"Then that is it. Mary Alice Brandon." He smiled down at me, and gave me a kiss. "I love you" He whispered.
"I love you too. Would you like to hold her?"
"Yes." I handed her to him, Mary laughed, and Jonathan smiled.
"I think she likes me." He said in a proud manner.
"Of course, you are her father. She knows that we will love her forever." Mary gurgled as I said this, and I laughed.
"She looks like you." Jonathan stated.
"I certainly hope that changes," I joked.
"What a lucky child." Jonathan said. I was so happy, until Mary began to cry. I had forgotten that babies did that. Jonathan had a concerned look on his face. I motioned for him to give me the baby. He did so. I rocked her back and forth.
"Hush my beautiful Mary. Do not cry." I began to sing a lullaby my mother had sung to me when I was little. She was quiet and sucked her knuckle.
"How did you do that?" Jonathan asked.
"I suppose it is my maternal instincts." I smiled.
"Yes, well, thank heaven for those." He laughed. He looked down at Mary lovingly and then his expression changed to scared. I looked down. Mary lay there unmoving with an empty expression. I shook er lightly.
"Mary? Mary!" I yelled. I waved a hand in front of her face.
"What is wrong with her?!" Jonathan asked anxiously.
"I do not know!" I waved my hand faster. Was she blind? Why would my baby not respond? Relief spread over me when her expression became happy again. She giggled, I sighed. What was that?
"Darling? What just happened?" Jonathan asked.
"I… I am not sure." I replied. All I knew is that whatever had happened should never happen again. Ever.
