Eternal slumber
Genesis centered.

If only you saw the sadness in my eyes,
the tainted corruption of my soul.
Would you then understand who I am,
and of all things why I do what I do.

Can you not feel my heart breaking,
shattering at the force of your every word.
As the truth seeps into my mind, body and soul,
claiming the very part of me I pushed so far away.

Must you torment me with darkness that surrounds you,
suffocating me to no absolute end as I soar without.
Without the smile that shines so bright for us,
the joy we once shared through the past times we shared.

Shall I continue to fly alone in these skies,
singled out by the damned as I press on.
Must I keep reaching for something I shall never claim,
or will you cease your search and journey with me.

Will we continue this fight for the lost,
aiming to claim back what we lost so long ago.
Can there ever be a time when we shall meet in peace,
or will my condemned return be the death fo us all.

As though the fates collide in our destiny's,
we shall escape to the never ending peace.
The eternity we created so perfectly together,
as I silently fall into my eternal slumber.
