Hey guys!! I know you haven’t heard from me for quite some time. I pardon all of you waiting for the new chapters of my stories. I’ve got writer’s block, and so I’m trying new things and stuff. Okay, here I go.

Depression

Chapter 1: Departure

The day Hyuuga Neji left the village with Naruto and Lee for the mission was a depressing day for Sakura. She really liked him and now he was gonna be gone for some time. Two months to be exact. She padded down the lonely streets of Konoha, her head drooping.

She opened the door to her dark lonely house. Normally Neji was around in her living room or her bedroom. She loved seeing him there. He always greeted her with a smile or a sweet hello. But now it was just her. Her parents wouldn’t be back in seven more months. But that’s 2 months of no one coming around. No one talking to her. No one to listen… Especially since it was summer… She really hated this part of her life…

RING!!

She didn’t grab the phone.

RING!!

She made to motion to take it.

RING!!!

BEEEEEEEEEP!!

The message started. “Hey Sakura.” It sounded like Neji. She picked up the phone.

“Hi Neji…”

“Hey Sakura. I just made it past the border of the village. This is my only call I can make for the rest of the journey. I just wanted to say that I’m might be gone a week or two less. If we move fast enough, I think we can complete it in half the time it would take us normally.”

“That’s great.”

“You don’t sound too excited. What’s up?”

“It’s just that… You’re going to be gone for so long… I’m going to be very lonely…”

“Don’t worry. I’ll try to see how many times I can call you back. Okay?”

“Okay…”

“Bye.”

“Bye…” Sakura put the phone down and laid her head on the pillow. She grabbed her old blanket and threw it over herself. She closed her eyes and soon was asleep. She woke up inside her own dream. She was running towards the village gates, and she knew why; Neji had just returned. Of course, Sakura thought this way real. She could see the white-eyed boy at the gates “Neji-kun!!” she called out. They boy turned, and a smile spread across his handsome face. He opened his arms for her to embrace. She threw out her arms, smiling with happiness. She finally caught up to him. “Oh Neji-kun I missed you!!!” she said once she was in his arms.

“I missed you too.” he whispered in her ear. She giggled sweetly. She let go and they walked back to her house. They chatted along the way.

Finally they arrived at her gloomy house. She reached for the key and unlocked the door. The house had its normal dark gloom. Neji went and sat down on the couch, while Sakura brought some water from the kitchen. She gave him a bottle and sat next to him. “It’s great to have you back Neji…” she said.

“It’s sure great to be back…” he replied. She giggled.

BEEEP!!

Sakura snapped awake. She looked around. It was still her old house, vacant and lonely.

“Ooh!!” she cried, grabbing the alarm clock. She threw it against the, making it shatter to tiny pieces. She had just had a wondrous dream, and the stupid alarm clock had ruined it.

Aw man, poor Sakura!! Geez, to think she could have kissed Neji right then and there in her dream. Oh well…
