Discalimer has not changed.

It's been a few weeks but none the less here's the next chapter.

Guinea Pig

The boys walked along with the fusion coil for a good block and a half before they had to put it down and take a break. As the four of them sat on the side walk to catch their breath, Butters, who was making a snow man, noticed the others.

“Hey fella’s what are you doing?” asked Butters.

“Trying to get this thing back to David’s house,” said Stan.

“What is it?” asked Butters.

“Something really heavy,” David said quickly.

“Can we borrow your wagon?” Kyle asked Butters.

“Well I guess so, you promise to bring it back?” asked Butters.

“Yeah,” replied Kyle.

Butters brought his red wagon out to the boys and watched as the four of them lifted their object and place it in the wagon. “Remember to bring it back. I don’t want to get grounded!” Butters called after them. Using the wagon helped save a lot of time and the boys were able to get back to David’s house and install the fusion coil in under an hour. The only thing left to do was to get the car started and make sure that it could time travel.

“Ok we’ve got your coil thing in now what?” Stan asked David.

“Well we start the car and get it ready for a test,” said David.

“How exactly do we do that? I don’t see any keys lying around,” said Kyle.

“They’re probably in the car. Remember my dad has been doing testing,” said David.

David walked over to the driver side door and opened it. He began to rummage through the interior as he looked for the keys. Stan and Kyle looked at each other and both shrugged; they walked over to the passenger side of the car and opened to door to help their friend look. Kenny followed close behind. As the three peered in the car they noticed the interior was all but ordinary.

The center console had been replaced with a thin three screened monitor; below the monitor were a number pad and an entire keyboard layout. Above the glove compartment was another set of thin monitors attached to the dash. Along the roof of the car was a box with what appeared to be dull red and orange buttons. As their eyes moved towards the back of the car the two noticed metal boxes with gauges and small lights on them. In the center was a box with a glass window; behind the window were three wires that made a Y shape.

“Dude what is all this?” asked Kyle.

“Help me find the keys and I’ll… Ow!” David bumped his head on the steering wheel as he sat up. “I’ll show you how it works.”

Kyle looked around the inside of the car and then noticed something next to the steering column. “Hey look at this.” Kyle pointed to the shape on the dash.

“What?” asked David as he looked where Kyle pointed.

“Dude, isn’t that the Jewish star,” said Stan.

“Yeah it is, where’s your necklace?” Kyle asked David.

“Oh come on, is that really the key to the car?” David asked surprised.

“I don’t know dude, try it and see,” said Kyle.

David muttered something under his breath as he took the necklace out of his pocket. He lined the points up and pushed the star into place. It was a snug fit but once the star was in there was a click and the center of it popped open and revealed a switch. David tried to push the switch down but it wouldn’t budge.

“Why isn’t it starting?” asked Stan.

“Ugh, I know why,” said David as he got out of the car and ran up the steps.

Stan and Kyle glanced at each other and then looked out into the lab. They heard the door to the house open and slam shut. After a few minutes the door reopened and David came down stairs with a weird contraption in his hands. It was a metal box frame with three pedal looking objects attached to it. David brought the pedals into the car and set them over the real pedals.

“What’s that for?” asked Stan.

“The car is a manual transmission, I built this thing to use it to drive the car,” said David.

“When where you planning on driving the car? Do you always take your dads inventions out for a spin?” asked Stan.

“No, I’ve had this device for a few years now,” replied David.

“Why did you build it in the first place?” asked Stan.

“It’s complicated,” replied David as he pressed in the clutch and flipped the switch.

The car started up with a low growl and sat at idle in the lab. A few seconds later there was a lurch upwards and the car began to rise up on a platform. David closed his door and Stan hopped in back while Kenny got in next to Kyle and closed the passenger door. The car rose up into the garage where the platform stopped as it covered the hole in the floor.

“Wow, it actually worked,” said David with a smile.

“So now what?” asked Stan.

“Well I need to get a few things to fill up the fusion generator but after that we will test it,” explained David.

“Hold on a second, I don’t want to be in this thing unless I know for sure it’s not going to kill us. We need a guinea pig, something alive so when you test the time travel we know we won’t die,” said Stan.

“But who could we use?” asked David.

“How about a pet? I know exactly which one,” said Kyle.

“Ok, I’ll go get a few things and then we’ll be off,” said David as he exited the car.

David ran back into the house and rummaged through a few things. He returned moments later with a plastic bag. He got into the car and handed the bag to Kyle. The red haired boy took the bag and peered inside; he saw a whole bunch of cans and a few odds and ends things. But what stood out where two DVD’s, one called High School Musical and the other, High School Musical 2.

“What’s with the DVD’s?” asked Kyle.

“My grandma gave them to me for my birthday. They are probably the most horrible movies I have ever seen,” replied David.

David opened the garage door and drove the car out onto the street. Kyle told David to drive to Eric’s house so they could pick up their guinea pig. When the car arrived at the two story green home the Firebird stopped in front of it. David got out and went to the back of the car to fill up the fusion generator while Stan, Kyle, and Kenny walked up to the front door of the house. Inside Cartman was watching television while he ate a hot pocket. A gray cat jumped up on the couch next to him and began meowing while it rubbed against him.

“No kitty this is my hot pocket,” said Cartman.

“Meow!” said the cat.

“NO! KITTY! THIS IS MY HOT POCKET!” Cartman shouted at his cat.

Eric pushed his cat off the couch and resumed eating his food. As he did so the door bell rang. “MOM! DOOR!” the large child called out.

“Ok poopy-kins I’ll get it,” said Mrs. Cartman as she walked towards the door.

“HEY! I can’t see the TV!” Cartman complained as his mom passed by.

The front door opened and the boys looked up to see a woman dressed in a blue blouse and dark red pants with shoulder length brown hair.

“Oh hello boys, come inside. Eric is just watching some TV,” said Mrs. Cartman sweetly.

“Hey fat ass what are you doing?” asked Stan as the boys approached their large friend.

“What’s it look like I’m doing? I’m eating,” replied Cartman as his cat jumped back up on the couch.

“Cartman we need to borrow your cat,” said Kyle.

“What? Why?” asked Cartman.

“It’s for the time machine,” said Kenny (muffled.)

“I knew it! I knew you two Jews were up to something!” Cartman spat as he got off the couch and approached Kyle.

“Calm down Cartman, David said everything will be ok,” said Stan as he picked up the gray cat.

Stan made his way towards the door; Kyle and Kenny followed in suit as Eric trailed behind. “Give me back Kitty!” Eric called after them. As the boys approached David Stan put the cat into the car and put the seatbelt around it.

“HEY! Leave Kitty alone!” shouted Eric.

“Shut up fat ass,” Stan spat back.

“So how does this work?” Kyle asked David.

“Come here I’ll show you,” said David as he sat next to the cat.

The rest of the boys went around to the passenger side to watch the demonstration.

“I swear to god if you hurt Kitty I’ll kill you both,” Cartman aimed his words at Kyle and David specifically.

Ok the next chapter will entail the testing of the time machine and the boys first time travel to their Egyptian destination. The testing scene will fell very similar to the first time travel experiment in Back to the Future so if you've seen the movie then you pretty much know how it's going to go. Well for the most part that is. Anyway leave a review and I'll see you all back here next chapter.
