Minnie took out her red and black striped jumper and a black skirt and her favourite red and black hat. She gave her hair a quick comb. She wasn’t really fussed about her hair much but today she decided to put a little effort in her pigtails. She put on her white and grey trainers and headed to the door.

“hi dad bye dad!” she said quickly and gave her father a quick kiss.

“hold on daughter” said minnies dad and he grabbed her by the collar of her jumper. ”where do you think you are going?” he asked

“I’m just going to see Dennis” she said trying not say the word Dennis any different to the rest of the sentence. Her father thought. He didn’t like her seeing Dennis. He’ll make her naughtier. He’d got even more worried of what might be going through Dennis and Minnies head recently. Minnie’s mum had had a look though Minnie’s diary, and found out she had a ”little crush” on Dennis. Minnies dad was about to tell her no-way-you-are-not-going, but all he could see in front of him was a bodiless jumper. Minnie had tricked him…again

2 roads away, Minnie wasn’t laughing to her self

“I can’t believe he feel for it again!” She laughed and knocked on Dennis` door. His mother answered it. She was a lovely women with blond curly hair, and , how ever bad Dennis was, loved him. She liked Minnie. She liked her because she thought it might make Dennis find away to be happy without getting in trouble.

“oh hello little strawberry-mins!” she said. That was the nick name she had given Minnie. You see, Minnies hair was strawberry blond, but often mistaken for ginger.

“Hello misses menace” She said politely. Dennis` mother called up stairs and Dennis came running down. Even though Minnie and Dennis were teenagers (14) they were still acted like when they were ten. Dennis said bye to his mother and left.

“What have you got?” asked Minnie.

“Water balloons. A very old prank but still has to be one of the top ten.” He said. Him and Minnie went to the park, climb up a tree and waited for people to come. They saw somebody. Dennis smiled, imaging a wet man moaning at them.

“Ladies first” said Dennis. Minnie went to get a balloon. Then he quickly grabbed one and said “but men just before!” and though the yellow balloon at the man. The man screamed and ran away, yelling aliens.

“You said ladies first! Anyway you’re not a man!” complained Minnie.

“And your not a lady” Dennis said calmly.

“Girls mature before boys” she said softly.

“So? If you mature quicker then you’ll be a mum before im a dad” he smiled thinking he`d got her.

“oh will i?” and who will be the daddy?” she asked. “you!” she joked and laughed sop hard she could of cried!. “IMAGIN! ME AND YOU PARENTS OF THE SAME KID! *LAUGHING*” she yelled. Dennis laughed to.

“What are you suggesting?” asked Dennis parents.

“im saying that our Minnie is in love with your Dennis. And that this could be trouble.” Said minnies had a point. Daniel “Danny” deathshead-morgan and Kate “toots” Toxic had been going out since they were 12, and there had been a lot of trouble. Toots family had had a go at Danny’s, and Danny’s family had a go at toots after they ran away together because their parents had said it seems they might go to far and that they shouldn’t be going out at all, and not really friends.

“ he saying at lot of rubbish nothing will happen. For one thing what ever they do there wont be a reminder” said minnies mother.

“why do you say that” mr minx (minnies father) said.

“because neither of them have gone through puberty” the women smiled.
