Author of 75 Stories

Boredom inspired me to write this fic. A set of four chapters--three stories and one epilogue. The first three chapters are about the Destiny Islands trio thinking about their children and their fears of what may happen to them. The kids are Hiro (The Rising Sun), Kishi (Stuck on the Shore), and Nanami (Lucky Charms). The Epilogue is dubbed "Into Twilight".

First up: Sora and his son Hiro.

Disclaimer: Blu Rose doesn't own the KH series. She only owns her OCs and this story.

Sora & Hiro: The Rising Sun

Like any father, he was proud of his boy from the moment he held him in his arms. Blonde-tinted brown hair that barely covered his bald head shone in the bright light of the hospital room. Just like his Daddy. Purple eyes that were hardly open and staring at whatever stranger held him in their arms. Just like his Mommy.

Then, like any father, he wondered what his child would be when he grew up. Would he be a policeman? Would he have Daddy's sense of justice? Would he be an athlete? Would he be able to jump and run faster than anyone he knew simply because he could? Would he grow up to be a musician or a television star? Someone famous? Famous like his Daddy?

Famous like...Daddy... Would he be like Daddy? Would he be forced away from home? Would his loved ones lose their hearts, or let darkness take them over, or simply disappear from existence? Would he lose his heart? Would he become a Keyblade Master and forced with the weight of the world--the weight of the universe, just like Daddy?

But thoughts like that were easily pushed out of his mind. There weren't Heartless or Nobodies terrorizing the worlds, no reason for darkness to arise. And even so, what were the chances that his son was going to be chosen to help defeat it?

It wasn't like being a Keyblade Master was a genetic trait...

A 15-year old boy stood on the shore of a beach as the sun set. The bangs of his spiky, blonde-tinted brown hair--which looked entirely blonde in the sunlight--hung in front of his face, partially blocking his dark purple eyes from watching the sunset. He liked to think of it as a graffiti painting in the sky. Nothing more. Not as something he used to share with Dad when he was little--when Dad was here.

He hated being around too many people and too much noise. The noise of civilization was grating. His mother said that Destiny Islands was once a peaceful, little set of islands, but now there were tall buildings and people and technology. And it was the same noise he was once a part of before he hardened his heart.

He also hated the way people compared him to his father. When he was young, he may have wanted to be just like him--wanted to save other worlds and be called a hero. But now he was older. He had his own values now and he hated how everyone tried to force his father's values on him. Did that mean he hated his father?

The noise is back, pounding in the back of his head. He hears voices telling him to choose between Light and Darkness, but he ignores that. Instead, he reaches for the mp3 player hanging from his neck and presses Play. The blaring music rings through his head and he tries to think of other things: the artist of this song, the name of the song, the album this song came from, where it landed on the Top 20's list--anything but the sound of those voices trying to tempt him into entering the fray.

He wasn't like his father. He wouldn't be pulled into this Keyblade nonsense without a good reason to do so.

X-X-X

Hiro~Sora and Kairi's son. He was once a bright and happy individual, just like his father, but when his father left, he closed himself off in order to be more mature. Modeled after Neku of "The World Ends with You"--a Nintendo DS game created by Square Enix with art drawn by Tetsuya Nomada, who did the artwork for Kingdom Hearts. His name (when written in the right kanji) means “Sun Son”.
