Chapter 19 - 1st day of Academy!
"Mom, Dad, me and Minato are leaving!" I heard my elder son call to me and Naruto
"What?" I said shaking my head obvious to the young boy that I had forgotten what day it was
"It's the first day of school dad, I'm going with Minato and Iruka-San to the Academy since I'm with them you guys don't have to go" he smiled
"Huh?" I questioned for a second, I had woken up maybe 10 minutes ago, still in my bed robes before my eyes opened finally taking in what the small child had just told me "Oh no you don't I'm going to the ceremony I'm sorry I forgot about it, go ahead and go I'll meet you down there" I said taking off into mine and Narutos room, where Naruto was still half asleep, our second child Narusuke snuggling into his chest. I ran threw the closet open pulling out cloths trying to find my dress robes that my father had left all those years ago.
Naruto snuggled close to Narusuke "Do you have to start school today? I swear you should still be running around playing ninja instead of learning how to actually be one..." Naruto paused obviously thinking about what ever it was that blond thought about, to be honest, even after all these years being with him, I still wasn't sure, "I'll be there too. Gotta welcome in the new class!"
"No No you sleep, I'll go. THERE YOU ARE" I nearly shouted pulling out my fathers robes tossing off my shirt and pajama pants I slid on the silk robe, my heart raising, this was my first time wearing it since me and Naruto's wedding, of course at that point I had so many other knickknacks on me I'm sure no one really noticed the dress robe under it all "And it's just for Itachi I can deal with it, I remember how I felt when my father said he was too busy to show, but I couldn't help my smile seeing him there anyway" I let a small smile over my lips before it fell, remembering what my father was like under his mask, sighing softly I smiled back to Naruto "Anything you need from the store that I can pick up on my way back?" I asked leaning over my husband kissing him and tickling the blond child next to him.
"oh...hm...just the usual I suppose. Milk, eggs...maybe a little vodka for the two of us hm?" I smirked, tongue between my teeth. It had been so long since Sasuke and I were able to have a night alone. Alcohol usually had to play a part now that the boys were getting to be older. It was hard to get in the mood when they always wanted your attention.
"Sure thing, I'll open everything in your place, go back to sleep, and I'll be back before you know it!"
It had to have been around two hours later when I finally got back home, and started to put everything away, it was just after 10:30AM, the ceremony went over good, though a few were disappointed that the Hokages spot was taken by said mans husband but I got a chance to see all mine and Narutos old friends whom I hadn't got a chance to see since before Narusuke was born. Sighing softly I sat back in one of the empty chairs and wondered if either of my loves was up, and if I should make lunch for them when they came around.
"Morning To-San!" Narusuke said coming up next to me, hugging my leg his bright blue eyes looking up at me
"Morning Narusuke!" I replayed to him, with a smile "Where is your mother?" I asked looking back to mine and Naruto's shared room
"Sleeping still, I got hungry and I heard you putting away stuff so I knew to come out to ask you for food!" he smiled that smile that Naruto always gave me when he wanted something. Why was it that children always picked up on their parents weak points? Over all nothing gets to me, but that simple happy pleading smile always struck me in the heart, making me crumble and unable to resist to that smiles needs
"Yeah? What do you want?" I asked leaning down next to him kissing his forehead
"humn" he made the same sound I always did when I think, "Salmon and Rice, Dango as well!" he smiled happily up at me
"Very well!" I shook my head and got up, sitting my son down where I had been, "Give me a few minutes and I'll have it to you" I pushed back his bangs and kissed his pale forehead. As I stood making the food, I thought about my two boys, wondering if Naruto would mind having more, so far the boys we had were the looks alike of me and Naruto, only swopping the skin tone, Itachi had a more tan skin tone like his mother were as Narusuke had my skin tone. I let out a soft sigh as I flipped the smoking fish with my cooking chop sticks, looking at the rice cooker to check the time on it, before quickly setting the chopsticks aside and putting a small try of dango into the oven, mentally timing it out. Pulling the dangos out right at 5 minutes, the dough still soft but lightly browning moving it to the fridge as I flipped the fish onto a plate, quickly pulling the rice out and putting it before my son "there ya to!" I smiled down at him
"Thanks To-San!" he smiled at me before starting to eat "The dango?" he asked with his cheeks full of fish and rice
"After you finish your plate!" I smiled down at him shaking my head at the pout my words gave the small child, I ruffled his hair and started to make my own lunch/breakfast. I was starting to worry cause my elder blond had yet to get up, but then again, he hadn't gotten to bed tell about 2 this morning cause of the paperwork he had got behind on, but that wasn't his fault, it was partly mine for messing with him when he was trying to work and then having him run around with Itachi to get him new cloths for school. Letting out a soft sigh as I sat next to my son with my food, slowly starting to eat. After both me and Narusuke finished eating I pulled out the dangos and went with him into the other room and watched T.V. with him. I had pulled my arms from the sleeves of my robes and let it hang down around my hips, I laid back on the couch, Narusuke sitting on my stomach, I swear this boy was to light for the amount he ate. Before I knew it I had fallen asleep, the dango stick still in my mouth, clenched tight between my teeth.
