Chapter 1. Opening/ Dawning of a Darker Hour

Summary: ‘’Now dawns the darkest hour of time…If I don’t tell you our story, then you won’t know what’s happened to us.’’ The sequel to R.O.D: The Courtesan’s Child. Featured here is the second ROD script sneak peeks. I hope you don’t enjoy.

Note: Featured here is the opening and title sequence of the second ROD script, which begins at Episode 21. And just a first-hand notice, the caption in the text below is incomplete for the time being due to further progress of revising and severe writer’s block. I apologize for the incompleteness of the text. The caption in which you are about to read imply stands as a brief recap of the first ROD script; however, it’s inconclusive.

Dark screen.

The clanging of a CLOCK TOWER BELL.

CAPTION:

‘’…Their lives were never the same; they were twisted every way…Now the child is left abandoned, stranded in the gray light of an empty abyss…And in her misery, clouded in her immense struggle for survival, now dawns the darkest hour of time.’’

Screen brightens. A SINGLE FLICKERING FLAME fills the bottom of the frame. Emerging from the darkness, the illuminated STONE FACE—THE MADONNA, and in her arms rests her CHILD. CAMERA pans down the STATUE to the plaque it stands upon. In the center are the familiar carved letters: M.A.M.

The flame burns out, melting us into darkness.

FADE IN:

TITLE SEQUENCE BEGINS.

In multiple REPLAY SEQUENCES, from a below CAMERA projection, twisted, skeletal trees standing in the midst of a gloom world. SNAP TO BLACK. CREDIT. REPLAY.
