Epilogue
So, I boarded my plane and arrived safely in America. I
remember walking through that front door and being greeted by
my family. My mom was crying, my dad kept on smiling at me,
and my brothers teased me about me being love with Thomas
Aiken. I enrolled in the nearest high school and finished top
in my class. I soon chased my dreams to become a pediatric
nurse. Every week I would receive a postcard from Dr.
Wickham, Sarah, and, even, Lee. In fact, I still receive
postcards from them to this very day. But, I never heard
anything from Thomas, until one day while watching TV, I
heard an announcer shouted in excitement about Thomas Aiken’s
comeback in tennis. Then, one rainy day my doorbell rang. I
opened the door to find Thomas standing there with flowers in
his hand and soaking wet from the rain that was pouring that
day. He didn’t change much, except that he was taller. His
smile didn’t change at all. I was so happy. But, I had to
introduce Thomas to my family, who weren’t that impressed. He
kept on visiting me, until one day he asked me to marry him.
I said yes. Today, Thomas and I are living happily together
with our first child. We named him David and he has my
coloring, but he has his father’s twinkling brown eyes and
smile.
