Chapter Two
So, thank-you sierraphantom for the review!! Here's the next chapter.
Amu collapsed on her bed. She stared up at the ceiling, a sad expression on her face. She had no idea what to do about Kiyoko...someone like that could only mean trouble. Such a bothersome character...
She turned on to her side and sighed. Thinking about Kiyoko's character also made her wonder how the girl could see shugo charas. Miki was extremely unnerved and she was actually considering leaving her home tomorrow. Miki was currently asleep in her egg. Ran and Su flew over to Amu.
"Amu-chan, please cheer up." Ran said.
"Yes, please." Su said.
Ran's eyes lit up and she held her pompoms up high.
"Cheer up Amu! Cheer up Amu! Cheer up Amu!" the two chanted, waving their hands in the air.
"Quiet!" Amu snapped, throwing a pillow at the two charas.
They looked at each other sadly. Amu turned onto her stomach and pressed her face into the pillow, breathing in the fabric. She tried focusing on something else, something...anything that could distract her...
Suddenly her mind was filled with thoughts of a certain cat boy. His cobalt hair, midnight blue eyes, muscled arms...
"Ikuto..." she mumbled into the pillow.
"Yo." a deep voice breathed in her ear.
Amu sat up immediately, waving her arms about and screaming. Ikuto caught hold of her wrist before it met his face and slapped his other hand across her mouth. A wide smirk was on his face as she glared at him. He took his hand off her mouth but didn't release her wrist.
"I-I-I-Ikuto!" she yelled.
"Yo, Amu." he said smoothly.
"What are you doing here? Why are you in my room?!" she yelled.
"Can't I visit my favorite Guardian?" he asked, his smirk growing.
"No, you ca--favorite?" she asked, blinking.
He laughed and dropped her wrist, letting it fall to her side. Amu glared at him, folding her arms across her chest.
"You still didn't answer my questions." she said. "And I don't count that as an answer."
His smile faded and he stared at her. She stared back, defiantly at first, but her defiant expression melted away in his deep blue eyes.
"I was bored, and you're too fun to tease. I'm in your room because you left the balcony door open." he said. Amu blinked, surprised that he actually answered her.
"So," he said, smirking again as he sat down on her bed, "why were you saying my name?"
Amu's cheeks fired up and she scooted as far as possible away from him. "I-I-I didn't say a-anything about you!" she said.
"Yeah, and that's why you were mumbling my name into your pillow." he said.
"I wanted to ask you something!" Amu exclaimed, the words flowing from her lips without her permission. One of Ikuto's eyebrows quirked.
"Really? And what's this mighty important question?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Wh-where's Yoru?" she mumbled lamely. He chuckled a little.
"Having a night on the town." he replied. "Now what was the real question?"
Amu stared at him while racking her mind for some sort of question that would seem plausible. He stared back at her, enjoying this more and more. Ikuto's smile widened and she stared at him in fear. He started to lean over to her.
"I know what you're thinking." he whispered, his face a couple inches from hers. Amu's cheeks flamed again.
"N-No you don't."
"Yes, I do. You just wanted to see me." he said, his smirk widening with Amu's eyes.
"N-N-NO!" Amu yelled, and shoved him away from her. "Pervert." she muttered as he laughed.
Ikuto laid down on her bed, his long legs dangling down. She glared at him and resisted the urge to kick him. He stared up at the ceiling in silence and Amu stared at him, trying to guess at what he was thinking.
"Ikuto?" she asked softly. His eyes flicked over to her.
"Yes?" he said.
"Is...Is there anyone new working at Easter?" she asked tentatively.
Ikuto sat up, his back hunched over as he stared at the ground. His elbows rested on his knees and for a moment she wondered if she'd done something to upset or offend him.
'Why do you care if you offended him?!' she thought fiercely.
"Ikuto?" she asked.
"Why?" he asked.
"Wh-What?"
"Why do you want to know if there's someone new?" he asked.
"Well...there's a new girl at Seiyo and her name is Amaterasu Kiyoko. We...We think she can see shugo charas. Miki said that Kiyoko looked at her twice. even Su said that she felt something weird about her." Amu said. "We were just wondering if she was working at Easter, so I figured that I'd ask you..."
Amu trailed off, embarrassed by her rambling and unnerved by Ikuto's silence.
"The name doesn't ring a bell. Then again, it's possible. I don't keep track of Easter as much as your Kiddie King thinks." Ikuto said, standing up and walking out to the balcony. Amu sprang up to follow him, but he was gone when she reached the balcony.
Ikuto sat on top of her roof, ignoring her as she called his name. He stared up at the stars, contemplating this new girl Amu told him about. This...Kiyoko.

Ikuto was taking the long way back to his home, wandering around and hanging out on people's roofs. Yoru had caught up with him and was fast asleep on his shoulder. Ikuto was nearing his house when he froze at the sight of someone coming out of his room onto his balcony. The figure leapt onto the roof.
"Yoru." Ikuto said.
Yoru stretched and opened his eyes, "What is it Ikuto?" he whined.
"Character Change, now." he said. Yoru sighed and nodded. The familiar ears and cat tail appeared and Ikuto leaped up onto his roof, the glowing blue cat paw extended from his right hand.
"Who are you?" he asked.
The person was clad in all black, from head to toe. All he could distinguish was that the person was a girl and she had lavender streaked black hair pulled into a side ponytail. She turned around and he could barely see a pair of silver eyes from behind the sunglasses.
"Tsukiyomi Ikuto...it's a pleasure. I've heard so much about you." she said smoothly, a smirk on her face.
"What do you want? And who are you?" he asked again, getting angry.
"Want? Nothing. Nothings worth wanting in my eyes. And who am I?" she smiled and her shades slid down on her nose a little. Her eyes pierced him, "I think you know that answer already."
He gritted his teeth. "Tell me before I get mad."
"Aw, the little kitty doesn't like me." she said in a pouty voice. Ikuto swatted at her with his paw, but she jumped out of the way.
"Too slow." she teased, "You know, for a cat you're pretty--"
She was cut off as Ikuto pounced on her, pinning her down. His claws were a couple centimeters away from her throat.
"Want to finish that sentence?" he asked, his voice a dangerous tone. His eyes were dark and narrowed.
She glared at him. "Kiyoko. Amaterasu Kiyoko." she said. "That's my name, happy now?"
"Not entirely, but it's a start." he said.
"To find out why I'm here, you're going to have to let go of me. You'll have to get up and go in your room to find out the reason for my visit." Kiyoko said.
Ikuto ground his teeth together in frustration. Yoru stuck his tongue out at her. He stood up and jumped onto his balcony, walking into his room. Kiyoko was gone in a blink of the eye. He looked around his room for anything that might be missing. All he noticed that was out of place was a little pink journal on his desk that red "Property of Hinamoi Amu."
