Author’s Note: I got this Idea because I’ve been suffering through some writers block and this is the result of trying to cure it.

This is after the third or fourth episode.

So what pairings do you want? If you’ve read my story a Raven’s Tale you’ll know I’m not against slash. The only thing I want do is a Ginny/Harry story for some reason I just can’t see it.

“We’re lost.” Hermione announced as they looked around the school hopelessly. “It’s only the first day to.” She said disappointed, she wanted to make a good impression because god knows what would happen when the twins came to visit.

Ouran was after all a very fancy and high classed school and it would be important to make a good impression. After all she and Harry would be going to school here for the next few years.

Her companion, a teenage boy with dark messy hair, pale skin and bright mischief green eyes looked around lazily. He shrugged his shoulders as boys in blue blazers and black pants and girls wearing pale puffy yellow dresses walked past them. The other students stared at them with evident curiosity, all interested in the two new transfer students.

“It doesn’t matter does it? We have an excuse anyway.” He told her ‘wisely’. His best friend just huffed at him obviously irritated at his lack of caring.

“Weren’t you supposed to look around the school so this wouldn’t happen?” She asked him annoyed. Harry frowned and then smirked. “I was until you just begged me to make dinner because god knows you can’t cook.” He teased.

Hermione glared at him. “I can to cook.” She said defensively. So what if she wasn’t a great cook like Harry? She never really had the time to learn, and instant food was so much easier.

“Okay fine you can cook.” He relented as Hermione smiled at him. “Thank you.”

“But not that well.” He added on a second later and ran away from an angry witch. “Harry! Get back here.” Hermione shouted angrily. “I can to cook!”

“You can cook but when you do it tastes like Hagrid’s rock cakes and looks like a dried up slug.” He said somewhat gleefully. If he didn’t get Hermione to let loose than she never would.

“Okay I give!” Hermione shouted when Harry doubled back and started tickling her. Harry grinned gracefully helped her off the floor, she glared at him and then looked at her uniform. “It’s all covered in dust and dirt now thanks to you.”

“I didn’t know you cared about fashion ‘Mione.” Harry commented ignoring the stares that seemed to be trying to bore holes into them.

Hermione glared at him. “If I cared about fashion or what people thought I’d probably be in the girl’s uniform instead of the boys with you wouldn’t it?” She shot back smugly thinking of that horrible yellow dress, really how could anyone think that was good?

Harry smiled. “Weren’t you worried about being late? Class started five minutes ago.” He reminded. Hermione gave a small shriek before dragging Harry off with her in the presumed direction of class 1-A.

It only took them another ten minutes to find the class, and Hermione was almost having a panic attack by then. But Harry supposed it was because it was due to being in a new school in foreign country where opinions of what people thought of you decided your future and not the fact that Hermione was a bookworm.

The teacher looked up at the knock on the door and the sound of bickering that was coming from the hall. “Come in.” He said a few seconds later. He looked over Harry and Hermione with dulled curiosity. “You must be the two new transfer students please introduce your self.”

They both nodded and Hermione spoke for them, something she was use to doing because Harry never talked around strangers not since then. “Hello I’m Evans Hermione and this is my brother Harry.” She introduced politely.

“Please Evans-sans please take the seats in front of Fujioka-san.” He instructed before turning back to his lesson plan. Fujioka was a student with brown hair, big brown eyes and seemed to like studying.

Next to him on either side were two red headed twins that reminded Harry of the weasley twins. And not just because of their hair or the fact that they were twins, it was more of the fact that they seemed to reek of mischief.

Harry didn’t speak to anyone even Hermione until lunch time, because it was wiser to mess with Hermione when class was over. “This school is expensive.” Hermione said as they got in the lunch line. “Not just the tuition or the uniforms but everything about it just screams filthy rich.” She said quietly.

“Maybe but that’s not really a problem is it?” Harry wondered if Hermione was still mad that he had paid for everything. He hoped she wasn’t. He liked doing nice things for the few friends he had.

“Where are we going to sit?” Hermione wondered curiously as they looked around the elegant lunchroom that seemed nothing like a lunchroom from its appearance.

“We could sit by ourselves, there’s an empty table over there.” Harry pointed out. Hermione nodded and the two quickly raced over the table before anyone could steal it.

It was halfway through lunch when something strange happened. The kid that had sat behind them walked over toward them, his lunch in hand.

“Do you two mind if I sit here?” He asked quietly and quickly sat down when both Harry and Hermione shaked their heads. Harry quickly recognized why Fujioka looked familiar. “You’re the girl that lives in the apartment next to us.” Harry said observing how similar they looked. Fujioka’s father, Ranka had invited them over and shown them a lot of pictures of a cute looking girl named Haruhi.

Hermione stared at him surprised and then looked at Fujioka. “Your right Harry I didn’t notice because her hair is shorter.” She said looking over the girl.

Fujioka nodded. “A kid in the neighborhood stuck gum in my hair and I cut it out myself.” She smiled. “So how do you like Ouran?” she asked considerately. She had been the new kid a few weeks ago.

Hermione frowned. “It’s….” she struggled to think of a word for the school.

“Flamboyant.” Harry offered taking a bite out of the only food on his plate chocolate cake. Hermione nodded.

Fujioka smiled again. “It may seem flamboyant and childish but Ouran is a very good school.”

“Fujioka-san if you go to Ouran why are you living next to us?” Hermione wondered.

“I’m a scholarship student. Ouran has one scholarship student, and most people don’t keep their scholarship very long because a requirement is having the top grades in your class.” Fujioka explained as she started to eat her own lunch.

“HARUHI!” An annoying voice shrieked out before a blonde wrapped his arms over the now struggling Fujioka. “You worried daddy.”

Hermione stared at him and then at Haruhi. “Who’s he?” Soon other people, five other boys sat down next to them. The blonde stopped and stared at Hermione. “Oh? I am Suoh Tamaki.” Hermione nodded and turned toward Fujioka who had been let go. “He reminds me of Ranka-san.” She said ignoring the way the blonde curled up into a corner growing mushrooms next to Harry who looked annoyed.

Harry looked at the people now occupying the formerly quiet table. A small boy with blonde hair was eating cake; next to him was a tall dark haired boy. A cross from them next to ‘the Ranka-san Wannabe was the twins from class and next to them typing on a lap top was a dark haired teen with glasses and cold eyes.

“So you two know Haruhi?” The twins asked in union which quickly caught the others attention. Fujioka or Haruhi nodded. “These two are my new neighbors.” She explained.

Hermione stared at them. “You have a very interesting group of friends Haruhi-san.”

“Where are you two from? Your accent is very good.” Tamaki said when he stopped sulking/pouting.

“From London but we went to a boarding school in Scotland.” Hermione responded before glancing at Harry disapprovingly. “Harry you should it more than just sweets all the time.” She scolded.

Hunni grinned and scooted closer to Harry. “You like cake to? I’m Haninozuka Mitsukuni but you can call me Hunni.” He pointed to the tall guy next to him. “This is Mori but I call him Takashi.”

Mori stared at him in away that made Harry feel very small and intimidated. “Hmm.” Mori said in acceptance.

Hermione was surprised when Harry actually smiled. “I’m Evans Harry, you can call me Harry.” He said politely then went back to eating his cake.

“Something wrong?” Tamaki asked as he and the twins stared at the shell-shocked girl.

“It’s nothing it’s just my brother doesn’t usually speak with strangers.” She said staring at Harry with a warm look on her face.

Haruhi gave her a small smile. “Do you two want to go home together?” She asked causing Tamaki to squeal cute.

“Haruhi’s making friends!” He said and attempted to grab her only for her to step away. She turned toward Hermione expectantly. “We’d like that.”

“Haruhi you have the host club.” The twins speaking together reminded her.

“I’m sorry I forgot about that; today I have the host club.” She told her.

Hermione looked disappointed until she shot a mischief look at her brother. “Oh we wouldn’t mind waiting for you Fujioka-san.” Harry wasn’t the only that could make trouble.

“Are sure?” at Hermione’s nod Haruhi looked thoughtful. “Okay then after school please met me in the third music room. If you want I’ll walk with you there so you don’t get lost.” She said cheerfully, glad to two seemingly sane people at the host club.

“Alright we’ll see you there.” Hermione agreed.

“Where are we going?” Harry was far to used for Hermione agreeing for both of them that he didn’t bother disagreeing at all.

“We are going home with Fujioka-san.” Hermione said determinedly.

Harry blinked and then stared at Haruhi. “Alright.” He said simply and then went back to eating his cake with Hunni and Morin unaware that his sister was about to make his life even more crazy than it had been.

“I thought we were walking home with Fujioka?” Harry asked later that day as Hermione led him up another set of stairs. “We are….eventually.” she muttered and proceeded to drag him on until they stopped at a door marked 3rd music room.

“Hermione as much good as you are at the piano do you think we have time for this?” Harry asked annoyed. Hermione grinned at him a very twin like grin before opening the door….and stepping into another world entirely.

Flower petals floated around the plush room filled mostly with squealing happy girls. Harry vaguely heard someone say welcome before the blonde from lunch was in his face. “Harry-san, Hermione-Chan welcome to the host club.” The Ranka-san wannabe greeted and wrapped his arm around Hermione.

Harry stared at him and then back at Hermione. “Why are we here?” He asked with no emotion in his voice. Hermione if she was a normal person might have been put off by that lack of reaction but was determined that Harry would have a good time.

“And please Wannabe-san take your hands off of my sister.” He said a second later causing Hermione to roll her eyes. “We’re here because Fujioka-san works at the host club.”

Hermione smiled at Tamaki. “But Harry’s right please take your hands off of me before you end up hurt.” She threatened with a smile. “Come on Harry let’s go sit with Fujioka-san.”

Haruhi looked up when they sat down next to her and four of her regular clients. “Oh you two made it.” She exclaimed relieved.

“Haruhi-kun you know the new transfer students?” A girl with pigtails who reminded Harry of Hannah Abbott said.

Haruhi nodded. “Yes, these are my new neighbors.” The girls squealed and Haruhi sent them an apologetic look. “Hermione and Harry Evans.”

“You live in a commoner neighborhood?” Another girl with dark hair asked shyly.

Harry nodded.

“You live by yourself? What about your parents?” a different girl asked concerned.

“Our parents died but our legal guardians are back home.” Hermione said trying to ignore the pain that came up when she thought about her parents. The conversation quickly continued in a different direction with Harry and Hermione learning everything the girl’s could tell them about the host club.

“Harry! Takashi and I have some cake do you want some?” Hunni asked cutely. Harry nodded before the Loli-shota boy grabbed him and dragged him over to his own table. The English teen smiled when he got to taste the cake, (its strawberry Hunni told him).

Harry was quickly studied the same way he had been studied at Haruhi’s table. With the girl’s asking questions which he quickly diverted the answer to, this fact didn’t go unnoticed by the two oldest members of the host club but they didn’t say anything.

“So do you like sweets Harry-kun?” A girl asked him as he quickly finished two pieces of the cake which was very good, almost as good as his own cooking.

It took Harry a few minutes to respond. “I like making sweets more than eating them.” He replied unaware that he was being possibly the most social Hermione had ever seen him be.

“You can make cake’s Midori-Chan?” Hunni asked excitedly.

Harry blinked at the name. “Midori?” he asked amused.

Hunni nodded. “Yeah Midori means green so I figure that could be a nickname for you.” Hunni frowned. “Is that alright?”

“Yeah Hunni-San it’s alright.” Harry said and went back to eating another slice of cake ignoring Hunni’s clients who squealed about how cute Hunni and Midori-Chan was.

“Are you ready to go Fujioka-san?” Harry and Hermione asked later when all of the clients had left and the host club had closed for the day. Haruhi nodded and grabbed her bag before waving goodbye to the host club the new transfer twins following her.

“Their strange aren’t they?” Hikaru wondered out loud a little while later. “The kid seems really scrawny and quiet and the girl seems really studious.”

“What do you now about them Kyoya?” Hikaru asked lazily from his spot on a couch.

Kyoya’s glasses glinted blocking his eyes from sight as he went over the lack of data in his files. “I don’t know anything substantial yet but I will find out.” His determination sent shivers down the back of the rest of the host club except Mori and Hunni, who was thinking about when it was too soon to ask Midori-Chan if he could visit.
