Stella.
. . .
She dreams of fire, and she cannot move, cannot breathe. The air is thick with smoke but invisible hands hold her down and all she can do is watch as the flames dance towards her.
She always wakes just as her feet start to burn.
Mac asks how she's doing; she lies and says she's fine. He asks if she's found a place to stay and offers his spare room again; she declines again. Living with Mac would be a bad idea, for a multitude of reasons.
She pretends nothing has changed and doesn't tell him she's afraid to sleep.
