A/N: A writing challenge based around the quote: "I never loved you." Use the quote however you wish; you could repeat it throughout the story, only have it at the end or any other way you want. The only thing that I do ask that instead of it being as an underlying "issue" that it actually needs to be written at least once in the story whether in the narrative context or speech.

It was their wedding day. The two beautiful blondes would finally be joined together in matrimony….forever.

Lucius did not like that thought. In fact, he despised it. And soon it would become a reality. He never fancied Narcissa, but he would marry her because it is in the best wishes for his family. He was a pureblood. She was a pureblood. Both needed to get married and have children to continue their line.

Lucius scoffed. He wasn't interested in marriage. If he was not a pureblooded wizard, he would probably never marry.

Lucius barged into the room where his bride was. Luckily, she was alone. Her friends must have already fixed her up. She looked radiant. Her white wedding dress made her pale skin glow, and her blonde hair was piled on top of her head. At least she's not unattractive, thought Lucius.

"Lucius!" Narcissa huffed, "It's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding!"

Lucius ignored her.

"What do you want Lucius? Is it really that important?"

Lucius nodded.

"What is it then," Narcissa asked.

"I wanted you to know," Lucius said, "that I never loved you."

Then Lucius turned around and walked out of the room. Narcissa could only stare blankly into space.

"You are a cruel man, Lucius Malfoy," she said, "But now I know what I'm in for."
