Author’s Notes

I do not own the original Sailor Moon characters, but I did create most of the new generation of Senshi, aside from Chibi-Usa, as well as the villains. This story combines elements from some of my older stories that were dropped at some point, especially the old “Zodiac Rainbow” story. As a warning, there are a huge number of new Senshi kids in this story, and no, I did not necessarily give boyfriends to Haruka and Michiru. Also, Chibi-Usa has a new Senshi form in this story, the reason for which will be explained.

Chapter 1: Chibi-Usa Tsukino

It was nighttime at the Crystal Palace, and Chibi-Usa Tsukino was sound asleep. She was startled out of this peaceful state by the appearance of her kitten, Diana, who jumped on her bed.

“Wake up, Small Lady! You need to wake up!” Diana pleaded, pawing at the princess’s pink hair. Chibi-Usa’s little sister, Ayumi, stood in the doorway; Diana had woken her up first. She watched Diana quietly, hoping the cat would be able to do her job. Luckily, Chibi-Usa’s red eyes opened, and she glared at Diana.

“What’s wrong? It’s still dark out, it’s not time to go to school yet,” Chibi-Usa mumbled sleepily, “I’m not late all the time like Mama was.”

“Something happened to the Queen and her friends in the night! They’re all in the meeting room and you need to come too!” Diana exclaimed, sounding rather panicky. Truthfully, Diana wasn’t even sure herself what had happened to Neo-Queen Serenity, as the Queen seemed to be perfectly healthy. Maybe she had a frightening prophetic dream or something? Though that was usually Rei’s domain, Diana supposed that the other Sailor Senshi could have similar dreams.

“Did someone hurt Mama? Then I’ll need to become Sailor Chibi Moon again,” Chibi-Usa realized. She hadn’t tried to transform since she was Ayumi’s age, but she was sure it would work again if there really was a new enemy.

“Then come on, Small Lady. The Queen can give you your brooch back, and maybe Ayumi can help you this time,” Diana said, and the two sisters followed her into the big meeting room. All the former Sailor Senshi were present, including the Sailor Starlights and their Princess, who had taken on the name of Kakyuu Hanasaki on Earth. They had been living on Earth since after Galaxia’s attack. They had tried to go back to Kinmoku, but it was too barren and unable to support life, so they came back to Earth, where they knew the other Sailor Senshi. Seiya even gave up on Usagi and found love with a girl on Earth, and all of the Starlights had children, just like the other former Sailor Senshi.

“What happened to you, Mama? Diana told me and Ayumi to come in here,” Chibi-Usa said, looking at her mother in confusion. If there had been an attack of some sort, Serenity certainly didn’t look like she was hurt or beat up. Maybe she had a bad dream, or maybe Rei did and called her about it, Chibi-Usa thought.

“Someone poked me in the night,” Serenity whimpered, “I didn’t see who did it, but I woke up and saw this!” She held up her arm, which was covered with a bandaid. “It’s like someone tried to give me a shot in my sleep! And I hate needles!”

“It happened to all of us, too, even the Starlights and Kakyuu. The only one who wasn’t poked was King Endymion,” Rei supplied, “I did see a redhaired girl in my room, but she disappeared before I could even get up to chase her.”

“Do you think there’s a new enemy? Should I become Sailor Chibi Moon again?” Chibi-Usa asked, unsure why an enemy would just poke people in their sleep. Did this redhaired girl, if that’s who the culprit was, want the Senshi’s blood, or did she inject them with some kind of poison?

“I don’t know. I analyzed a sample of my own blood to see if there was anything wrong, and the test came out negative. Of course, that’s assuming that everyone else was attacked in exactly the same manner. The culprit could have only poisoned some of us. Thus, I shall test all of us to see if any of us have been injected with any poisons, including the King,” Ami said.

“I wonder why he was the only one who wasn’t poked? Is it because he doesn’t have “Sailor” in his name, or is it because he’s a man? Is this an enemy that only wants something from females?” Haruka wondered.

“Whatever is happening, we need to awaken the Sailor Senshi again. This time, it’s your daughters’ turn,” Luna spoke up.

“All of them? Even if Endymion gives someone the power of the Earth, that’s still only 14 Sailor Senshi. We have 32 daughters in total, including Small Lady here, who I assume is going to become Sailor Chibi Moon again,” Ami pointed out.

“I think it’s time, Luna,” Artemis said mysteriously, and Luna nodded. Diana looked confused for a moment and then she looked at Chibi-Usa, realizing what was going on. Suddenly all three cats began spinning and flipping in the air, sparkles and flashes of light surrounding them as dozens of Senshi transformation objects, rings, wands, brooches and pendants, flew out of their bodies. Ami counted them as she saw them appear and noted that when the cats were done, lying panting on the heap of mystical jewelry, that there were 32 in total. One for each of their daughters. Chibi-Usa noticed that one of the star-shaped brooches was pink and had a crescent moon on it, but somehow she didn’t feel like it was for her. Instead, she grabbed a turquoise wand that was topped with a purple heart.

“Um, Ami? I think this one is mine. Not that brooch with the moon on it. I don’t know why, but I feel like I was meant to be a different Senshi now. Like being Sailor Chibi Moon was just for practice,” Chibi-Usa said, still confused as to why the moon brooch didn’t seem like it belonged to her.

“Well, why don’t you try it out? If you can think of any words to call out, say them. Maybe then your true Senshi form will be revealed,” Ami suggested. She saw a few items in that pile of transformation objects that seemed like they would fit her daughters, but she wanted to watch Chibi-Usa first.

“Okay. Asteroid Power, Make Up!” Chibi-Usa called. Turquoise and purple lights swirled out of the wand and formed a new Senshi outfit on her body. This one was turquoise in the places she used to wear pink, and she had purple bows now.

“Asteroid Power? Is that what she said? Was there a Senshi that was supposed to represent the asteroid belt in the Silver Millennium?” Makoto asked Luna and Artemis.

“Yes, there was. There were many more Senshi, 18 more that waited until recently to be reborn. And as I remember, Sailor Asteroid looked just like you, Chibi-Usa. I had forgotten until now,” Luna said with a smile.

“So I was a Senshi in the Silver Millennium too? And I was reborn as Serenity and Endymion’s daughter?” Sailor Asteroid asked, still surprised that she wasn’t Sailor Chibi Moon anymore. Who was going to be her mother’s successor then?

“That’s exactly it. The 12 Zodiac Senshi, you and 5 others. Sailor Nebula, Sailor Comet, Sailor Galaxy, Sailor Nemesis and Sailor Sun. The reason you and the others were born in this time is because I think Queen Serenity wanted you to be awakened at a time when her daughter would be Queen and would have recreated the Silver Millennium on Earth. That probably also explains why all the daughters of the Sailor Senshi were chosen, even those of the Sailor Starlights,” Luna explained.

“Ayumi, you are also a Sailor Senshi, like your sister,” Rei said, taking a red star brooch out of the pile.

“But shouldn’t that one go to Ameko, Suzuki or Mikuru? It looks like it would fit Mars, not the Moon,” Ayumi pointed out, still confused as to why her sister wasn’t Sailor Chibi Moon anymore. Was she really the reincarnation of a different Senshi from the Moon Kingdom? Does that mean I’m the new Sailor Moon, Ayumi wondered. She was even more confused when Rei shook her head no and held the red brooch out to her.

“It doesn’t belong to them. It belongs to you. I’ve always thought that you might be my successor, ever since you were born,” Rei said.

“Me? So me and Chibi-Usa aren’t Moon Senshi?” Ayumi asked.

“You shouldn’t take that pink brooch anyway. It’s mine!” said a new voice. A cute little girl with black pigtails was standing nearby; she looked a lot like Serenity, including the fact that she had the same buns in her hair.

“Who are you? You look kind of like me,” Serenity commented.

“That’s because I’m your real daughter! You and Seiya are my parents! And that Moon brooch belongs to me, Rini!” the girl announced.

“Wait, me and Seiya are your parents?! Are you from the future? Am I not going to be with Endymion forever?” Serenity worried, “Seiya, aren’t you happy being with Momoko?”

“Momoko?! I can’t believe you’d betray me like that, Papa! Those other girls are fakes! I’m your real daughter and Serenity is my mother! And those two are in my way!” Rini sobbed, and she shot a pink energy beam out of her finger, aiming at Sailor Asteroid, who was too surprised to dodge. She crashed into the table, dumping the transformation objects on the floor.

“In your way?! Chibi-Usa and Ayumi are my daughters too, so they’d be your sisters,” Serenity pleaded, completely confused as to why this intruder not only was claiming that she was related to both Serenity and Seiya, but also why she did look so eeriely similar to Serenity herself.

“They’re fakes! I can’t believe you’d favor those fakes over me!” Rini sobbed, disappearing in a flash of pink light.

“What was all that about?! Why did that girl think me and Ayumi aren’t your real kids? And what does Seiya have to do with it?” Sailor Asteroid cried out, getting up from where she had been knocked backwards.

“I don’t know either, but if she’s an enemy, you and Ayumi will probably have to fight her,” Rei sighed.
