OMG HOLLY UPDATED! IT'S NOT POSSIBLE! *blows up due to excited combustion*

Yeah I updated!^-^ But it's not Oban Star Racers, wow! That's cause Holly got involved with what's known as the Kira Case. If your not a DeathNerd already and only have a fetish for those Oban fics I write, which I know ya'll do...thanks again constant Living with Hate reviewers, Death Note is not a yaoi manga/anime with no official couples...until fangirls we're invented. Majority of us Deathnerds have proof of yaoi between main characters, where I have collected a overwhelming amount of evidence of RaitoxL.

It feels like forever since I've updated cause now has characters of the story stored so you can label the story based on characters! That's lyke sooooo freaking awesome.

Note before reading: I use the original Japanese names for the characters. Example-Light-(Lite)-English, Raito-(Li-toh)-Japanese.

Cabin Fever

By: Jordan’s Gal

Chapter 1: Sunday

Rays of a new week shined through the windows of the enormous building. The sound of a metal chain rattled as the black headed detective supreme woke with a stretch and yawn.

The detective rubbed his dark black eyes with his free hand and sat in his usual style; legs pulled to his chest and back bent over. He looked to the open window through his open door of his room as he bit down on his thumb nail. Bored with the window far out of his reach, his eyes followed the trail of chain to its bearer. The bearer was a young male that looked about the age of 20. He had short brunette locks that could hypnotize any female or gay they were so fine. Even though his hair was jumbled from tossing and turning in bed, it still looked as if he had a personal stylist groom it during the night.

“Raito-kun needs to get up.” L mumbled as he played with his black licorice bangs dangling over his pale face. He tugged on the chain to further increase the percent of waking his prisoner up. He still claimed him for his investigation on the Kira case. Raito was his prime suspect and continued to be until proven otherwise. He didn’t come with an instruction manual though unfortunately.

L twiddled with his toes bored with his un-brushed bangs. “Kira must be alert at all times to kill those he finds disgusting and vile so he must be an early bird…” L murmured to himself. “Of course then you might not be Kira after all seeing you are still asleep and quite content on staying that way all day. That just lowers the chance of you being Kira by 13% making it down to 72%...” L stared at Raito’s face to see if he would get some reaction of some sort that could raise his chances of being the famous mass murderer. L noticed something else though that interested him and might lower his chances at the same time. The detective leaned over to the teen’s ear. “Also Kira might not be the type that drools all over his pillow…”

At that moment, L’s head was suddenly attacked by a drooly pillow.

“Worry about someone else’s sleep habits Ryuuzaki. I intend on sleeping this weekend morning instead of being forced out of bed just so you can eat your darn breakfast cupcakes. Also…since I’m helping out with the Kira case, I’m considered to have the day off like everybody else.” Raito said into the covers that barely managed to cover the whole bed neither or less both of them. L insisted that large covers were a waste of fabric and that they could be capable of sharing what they had. From what he knew, L was only referring to himself. The only thing close to sharing was when one took all he could and then reluctantly let the other have it every hour or so.

“Raito-kun needs to respect when his supervisor desires delectables.” L replied with a hint of teasing in his low voice. Raito just groaned and sulked in his personal cave of covers. Still messing with his toes, L looked on as Raito continued to lazily stay in bed like a hibernating bear in the middle of winter…either or a sloth.

Raito was just getting comfortable when something pounced right on top of him-something light but big enough to easily crush his spine on impact. Raito lifted up a section of the covers to see L sitting in his normal crouch right on top of his butt, hovering over him with his usual wide blank stare that always reminded him of a deer in headlights.

“I don’t recall my butt cheeks to be a trampoline nether the less marked with a sign that says “My butt is open for public use!”

“Why so serious Raito-kun? You are right; there is no sign clearly stating that and L is not fond of trampolines or anything like that in particular. I can tell you this though…” L shoved his left foot into Raito’s face, making it hard for him to ignore anything. “Raito-kun’s buttocks are very squishy L can tell you that.”

“Ryuuzaki, you are such a perv!” Raito yelled out ticked to the max. Raito jerked his body making L topple onto the floor. If he hadn’t pushed L so close by then their chain would pull him right off the bed, which probably would please L. Raito just scoffed.

L peeped his head out over the bed side as he glared at the person who pushed him off his bed. Their eyes met; hazel to onyx. Time seemed to stand still as the two know-it-all rivals continued to stare.

“If Raito-kun does not get up at this minute, I’ll kick him and drag him out of bed myself.”

Raito reluctantly crawled out of bed with a moan as L continued to crouch on the floor while biting his thumb eagerly waiting.

“The things I do for you Ryuuzaki…”

“Might I ask where we are going Ryuuzaki?” Raito crossed his legs with annoyance as he tried to make himself comfortable in the slick leather seats of the limo. L had immediately forced Raito into the limo right after he finished his morning toast and coffee. It took some effort though since he was not too keen on making trips on his day off or more importantly with the freakish detective. He was pretty sure this was either one of two choices: To work more on the Kira case or buy more food that drowned in sugar. The detective was currently squatting down in the seat across the way, popping bits of random candy in his mouth every few seconds. It wasn’t like he needed anymore sweets any way.

“Have I not told Raito-kun where we are headed?” L popped a piece of caramel in his mouth as he stared at the teen. Raito just turned away disgusted with Ryuuzaki’s appetite and act of innocence. His attitude was really annoying at times.

“No you haven’t. The only thing you said was that this will take all week.” Raito was hoping that the detective was exaggerating. Surely he wasn’t supposed to spend his week with this buffoon. That’s was the last thing he wanted to do, nether the less even spend another day with him. Raito started to stare out the tinted window at the outside world passing by them he ignored L who was cheerfully in his own world at the moment, smacking the newest candy in his mouth like cow.

He drowned out Ryuuzaki’s chewing as he watched the world that was out of his grasp. He saw many average folk walk along the sidewalk chatting or texting on their phones. He could hear music bursting through a nearby Cadillac’s speakers, most likely a young teen that had nothing else better to do than to annoy people with his noise. Raito continued to daze the window as if his eyes were magnetized to the moving scenes as he started to randomly count off all the things being passed by: A stray dog trotting down the side road, litter that was strewn across the ground, a colorful, vibrant billboard advertising a brand of strawberry toothpaste…

“Maybe Ryuuzaki should try that sometime. Not like he’d actually brush his teeth with it, probably just eat it.” Raito mentally laughed to himself. The image of the detective squirting toothpaste would be a site to see but it wouldn’t be surprising seeing how enthralled L was with strawberries.

…A few more signs stating how many miles they were from Fuchu City, another advertisement though this was without strawberries, a random white birch tree, a few more birches, even more trees…the teen lost count of how many trees he tried to count. It was like a forest. There wasn’t a forest nearby was there? The only forested area Raito could come up with was in Yachiho, the sister city of Fuchu. They weren’t…they couldn’t be in Yachiho Plateau.

“Ryuuzaki…”

“Welcome to my summer destination, Raito-kun.”

Xxx

“How long ago did you say you were here last?” Raito asked trying not to sound furious. This was not what he called a week off. Watari had dropped them off at a lake resort of some sort minutes ago leaving him and Ryuuzaki alone. The area looked like it had been neglected for years. Not to his taste but it had to be special since Ryuuzaki liked it. Of course Ryuuzaki had odd taste so his opinion didn’t mean squat. Raito did however notice that the detective was happier in a way. His usual monotone voice seem to fade off and was replaced with a happier, not hyper happy, but a more normal tone-normal in the sense that it was common for the average person.

They were now in front of an old cabin that L claimed was his own. It looked run down but still fairly presentable if you could call it that. Knowing L though, he presumed that he would have finer taste in living quarters. Campground log cabins didn’t sound like him at all; if the cabin was bathed in suede chairs and couches then he’d understand but the only furniture that he could see was old lawn chairs that really needed to be replaced.

“I’ll let Raito-kun know that I was at least twelve years of age when I was here last. I wonder if that old birch tree is still here…” L murmured as he chewed on his thumb looking around aimlessly as if he was looking for the tree he mentioned. L started to wander around the sides of the old cabin, forcing Raito along for the stroll due to the fact that they were still handcuffed together. Surprise, surprise.

“Ryuuzaki, tell me again why we’re here and don’t say it’s to further investigate the chances of me being Kira ‘cause I’m not. They’re has to be a reason why you’re forcing me to spend a week with you at some abandoned river camp site.” Raito huffed as he peered inside a side window finding that the inside was blocked by a dark curtain. He followed unanswered as L led him behind the cabin.

The back was a bit different from the front. Where the front has just a simple porch with old chairs, the back had a giant white birch tree planted in the ground with an old tire swing on one of the old branches. Like the front, it had a porch but much wider and it was built onto the second floor (you couldn’t tell it had more than one floor from a front view.) It allowed access from ground level as well as there was a flight of wooden stairs-holiday light wrapped the handrails.

“Does Raito-kun like my crib?”

“Excuse me, what?” Raito nearly screamed. ‘What is going with you Ryuuzaki? When have you been this laid back?”

L started up the wooden stairs to the second level dragging an annoyed Raito with him. “I was just asking Raito-kun if he liked my cabin. By your response, you find my cabin repulsive?” L gave Raito what seemed like a puppy dog look. Raito felt a slight blush come along. Those eyes, L’s eyes were shining like an innocent girl-something that he’d thought L would never resort to. L’s appearance didn’t even slightly scream girly nor even bishie.

“I didn’t say that Ryuuzaki, I was just…surprised at your choice of words that’s all.” Raito murmured the last part of the sentence for a reason he didn’t even know. Satisfied, L continued upstairs till he got to the back door. He reached inside his pocket and pulled out a small key and quickly unlocked the door prohibiting the two men from going inside.

Inside was simple really-too simple that it didn’t look like anything L would live in if you compared it to the usual hotel he usually stayed at. The back door led to the small kitchen that inhabited a small table. The kitchen then led to what look like a living room-a really small one at that. A small blue coach was back up to the small counter while a small oak coffee table was placed in front of it. An ottoman was placed against the opposite wall with a rocking chair placed in the next available space. On the floor was fairly nice auburn rug that covered most of the tiny room. The stairs were on the right side of the room.

“Raito-kun can stay in my room if he wishes. I’ll sleep on the coach if so…” L placed his thumb to his lips and seated himself on the ottoman as Raito casually sat himself on this coach across the way. He had relinquished the teen from the handcuffs earlier for the sake of the trip.

“I don’t want to kick you out of your own room Ryuuzaki. If you’re going to actually sleep while we’re here then at least sleep good and not on the coach.”

L merely smirked. “I do intend to sleep while off the case but my coach can do for me. I have found myself waking up from sleep on the chairs back at headquarters before we were even handcuffed.” L leaned back into the ottoman and stared up at the ceiling.

Why was L acting so different now? Did the Kira case cause him to be in a bad mood? It gave everybody a temper at times but he never thought that L was affected like everybody else. Everything was emotionless but now…it was if L was merely an actor who finally finished his previous role. Raito thought.

“I’m going to unpack my stuff then…” Murmured a confused Raito as walked downstairs while contemplating on his current puzzling case.

Xxx

Raito had finished unpacking a few minutes ago and was on the search of L who was currently no where to be found. There was no note or warning of his absence. The teen looked in the most likely place he’d be which was the kitchen but the raven-head wasn’t there. He wasn’t in the bathroom and Raito already check the back and front porch with no luck. Raito started to get a little worried. L wasn’t the one that would freely walk outside so there was a low chance that he was out for a stroll. If it was the case then he would have left a note or at least told him.

Maybe he was taken? Raito scoffed and laughed at himself for even thinking that.

1.) He didn’t hear any noise.

2.) There was no sign of a struggle or fight.

3.) Even if someone did enter the house, L would let out some of his amazing kicks if someone was to try to harm him.

But the detective was still no where in sight. Raito decided to look outside for the heck of it no matter how little of a chance there was for him to actually find him.

Xxx

Raito continued to look for the missing detective. He wasn’t at the head office or at any other cabins (most of the remaining were abandon anyway). The only other place he hadn’t checked yet was the lake. He really doubted that he’d be there but there was not other place he hadn’t looked up and down. This wouldn’t be such problem if Ryuuzaki had taken his cell phone with him but the sugar addict forgot it in the limo by accident. Watari said he would bring it tomorrow but it would be useful at the moment. Though on a second thought, the detective probably turned it off if he was serious about relaxing for a change.

That’s when he saw him…

It was no mistake; who else could have that wild raven colored hair and stand hunched over. He was standing on a tiny pier that extended out far into the lake all alone with no clue that Raito was even looking for him. Raito was angered and relieved at the same time. The man could have told him he was leaving and saved him from wasting his time looking for him. But at the same time just glad that he was safe.

Raito walked to the pier unnoticed. L was seriously in thought if he couldn’t notice his presence. As Raito stepped onto the wooden pier, the wood suddenly cracked with a loud snap. L immediately turned around spooked by the noise.

“Oh it’s just you Raito-kun…”

“Just me?! What were you thinking going out without telling me?! I’ve been looking for you everywhere!” Raito lashed out. Raito angrily stepped further out onto the old pier, not noticing the damage the extra caused to the weak pier. “You could have thought about somebody else for a change and told me you were leaving!” L looked taken back as Raito’s was pleasant face was shaped into uncontrollable fury.

“I did think of…” L tried to say but Raito beat him to it.

“It’s all about you L! Nobody else matters to you! I almost didn’t make it out of confinement because you’re so selfish! Always wanting to be #1 is your major flaw Ryuuzaki! It’s no wonder you have no friends besides me and Misa!” Raito continued to walk further out on the pier.

“If you cared about other people for a change then maybe…!”

“I DO CARE FOR YOU RAITO-CHAN!”

Raito immediately stopped. The change in honorific caught him off guard. L immediately gasped, realizing what he had said, and covered his mouth.

Raito slowly stepped further out onto the pier. “Ryuuzaki, you…?”

“No, Raito-chan! Leave me alone!”

With Raito’s next step, the end of the pier collapsed, bringing a surprised L along with it.

Xxx

L opened his eyes to find himself submerged deep underwater. He panicked. Why didn’t he learn to swim back at Wammy’s? He was stupid to not learn the simplest dog paddle. He was the world’s best detective; if he was to die it was on the line of duty, not on vacation by a common element of science. He tried his best to resurface but to no prevail. L choked on lake water as he was running out of air fast. His eyes slowly closed accepting his fate and sinking into the lake’s open waters.

The last thing he saw was a shadow plunging into the waters.

Xxx

All he could see was darkness, it consumed him. He looked around and that’s all he saw. Is this what death looked like? He never really believed in a heaven or a hell. Surely those rumors weren’t true? He couldn’t be in hell, could he? Sure he didn’t believe in a higher authority but he didn’t do anything that would result in this. If it was heaven then the stories about the pearly gates, and gold paved roads were all gibberish; Purgatory? The thought sent shivers down his spine.

“I’m in quite a predicament…”

“Earth to L, you need to use the past tense.”

L slowly opened his onyx eyes to reveal Raito looming over him with a frown plastered on his face. He looked around to find himself laying on his coach, covered up in a thick throw.

“Raito-kun…what happened…?”

Raito leaned against the coach arm. “Let’s see; the pier finally snapped and you went down with the ship, drowned and I had to save your skinny neck…that sound good to you.”

L sunk under his blanket, embarrassed that the younger teen found out his secret the hard way. “No…I don’t like any of it.”

Raito tried to lighten the mood. “Hey don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone, I promise.”

“…especially after that…”

L perked up at the not so silent murmur.

“After what Raito-kun? Is my lack of swimming abilities that embarrassing?” L questioned. Raito stayed silent. If L could see correctly through his still dripping wet bangs he could confirm a hint of redness on the younger male’s cheeks.

“No, no it’s not that! A lot of people can’t swim, it’s just that…” Raito couldn’t quite spit it out. Would he tell? It could matters worse…that or ruined his reputation. Just thinking about what he did chilled him. He knew it wasn’t what it seemed to the unaware eye but still!

“If Raito-kun doesn’t tell me what’s so embarrassing, I’ll assume that it has something to do with Kira and the percentage of you being Kira will increase.” L knew that bringing up Kira in rough ground was inappropriate but if it could push an explanation out of the stubborn suspect, he’d risk a fight.

Raito gritted his teeth in seething anger. He was NOT going to fall victim to those percentages. He could raise it to 46% if he wanted; the truth wasn’t coming out of his mouth. “I won’t be coaxed so easily Ryuuzaki. You’ll have to come up with another method, not matter how tempting those percentages can be.” Raito plopped down into the ottoman across the way and crossed his legs, quite pleased with himself to the looks of it.

L stared up at the ceiling as he remain to lie down. “I’m sure what Raito-kun has to say is not truly linked to the case but it wouldn’t help but ease my suspensions.”

Raito groaned but thought about. “Should I tell him? He’s most likely trying to make me say the obvious. He couldn’t have forgotten, has he? If he was telling the truth, rare as it is, does really mean it or does he think he can play a confession out of me?” He grimaced as the decision came to his head, no matter how embarrassing it was.

“Fine, I’ll tell you as long as you don’t tell a soul, not even Watari or my father.” Raito gave in. He sat up from his former posture and stared at L, hoping maybe a reaction could set off what he intended was going on.

L simply agreed with a shake of his head. Raito just sighed.

“You know how I said that you drowned once you fell…?” Raito began. He began fiddling with his fingers, something he hadn’t done since he was kid when tests actually got to him. The situation was certainly getting to him more than he pleased.

L nodded, confusion clearly readable in his eyes. “I don’t remember anything before or after that situation so if what you say is true, I’ll go with it.” He couldn’t read anything emanating Kira from Raito’s actions nor his expression. Only thing he saw was complete embarrassment, usually found uncommon in the type of guy his suspect was.

Once again, Raito sighed. “I had to save you, you know…” He tried to show a little more force with the verb, maybe trigger a memory of L’s; no such luck. L looked even more confused. His eyes were wide-wider than usual making him look younger for his age. His constant nibbling on his thumb added to the fact that he was curious and eager to hear from what Raito told him.

“You don’t get it do you…?”

“Of course I do, I acknowledge the fact that I’m still alive and breathing thanks to your actions.”

Was it okay to hit him now? Raito fought the urge to slap the detective, no matter if he was feigning his innocent act or not.

“No you DON’T get it! How do you think I saved you?” Raito asked, still fighting that impeccable urge to scream and start a fight.

“Doesn’t one naturally jump in after an already submerged drowning victim? I clearly remember that much at least.” L thought back at the blurry memory of being submerged in wet darkness. It wasn’t so clear but based on his swimming abilities, he wouldn’t be able to keep afloat anyway; again, damm him for not learning something so simple, at least to everybody else. He shivered; it still scared him.

Raito scoffed. “Yeah but that’s not what I’m talking about. You wouldn’t remember what I’m trying to get at due to the fact that you were unconscious.”

“…Until now…” L openly pointed out. Raito shrugged off the obvious statement.

“And how do you think you’re alive now?!” Raito spat. This conversation was going on WAY to long; just more of a reason to suspect false innocence.

L sighed. “Haven’t we already stated the obvious?” Raito nearly broke he wanted to kill the insomniac so badly.

“FOR GOD’S SAKE, L! I WENT MOUTH TO MOUTH WITH YOU, MY LIPS ON YOURS! IT’S CALLED CPR GOD DAMMIT!”

They two sat in awkward silence for what seemed like an eternity. Raito took the time to calm his nerves, while L continued to lie down in silence…

…a blush creeping up on his face.

L knew it too. He immediately turned his back toward Raito and let the blush take over. “Oh crap! Oh crap! Oh crap!!!!! Calm down, L…as long as he doesn’t know that I like him then…”

“Also I know you like me…” Raito stated.

Again…awkward silence…

L screamed into the pillow that was conveniently placed by his face. Raito watched on as L continued to try to hide his current emotions. It was completely Raito sagged his head and sighed.

“You know I can hear you right?”

L sighed. “Yes…I know…it’s not like I have anything to hide anymore…”, mumbled L, still clinging to his pillow. He felt as if the world collapsed right on top of him. It was bad enough that Raito was his suspect but now this? “Please Kira, don’t know how you do it but kill me now…”

“How…”

“You screamed Raito-chan right before the pier collapsed…pretty obvious…even Misa would agree.” Raito laughed as if to lighten the mood.

L curled up and hugged his knees. “I feel as if I am Misa…she doesn’t hide her feelings though like me.”

Raito just snickered. “It’s a real good thing that I won’t tell anyone then. Misa would throw a fit, Matsuda would probably start asking questions and my father would kill you for cuffing me in the first place.” L managed a laugh. Raito grinned. “Not so bad now, huh? Keep laughing and you’ll feel better.”

L turned back around, still gripping his pillow/life-line. “Why is Raito-chan…-” It was pointless to hide the honorific. “Why is Raito-chan being so nice to me? I thought Raito-chan was straight…”

Raito sighed. “I am…but I had a friend…kind of reminds me of yourself actually…” L stayed silent as Raito straighten himself out.

“Back at high school, I had a friend…his name was Sasaki Kamin. He was what he was named, joyful and gay, both happy and homosexual. He was good at hiding his emotions when something was wrong. It was hard though to hide his sexual orientation…at school…a majority of the students simply couldn’t tolerate homosexuality. When Kamin started crushing on a popular male senior…things went bad.

“When his crush’s friends and admirers found out…they killed him…” Raito paused to contain his emotions and tears. L’s eyes looked emotionless but inside fear and empathy pooled inside his heart.

“…They told him that they could help him win over his crush’s heart. When he met them the next day…they and his crush beat him…to death…I was the one who found him…

“That’s why I’m not going to tell anybody…that’s why I’m being nice about it.” Raito finished. He slowly got up and stretched. “It’s been a long day. I say it’s high time we rest…unless you plan on staying up as usual.”

L sat up. “I’m on vacation…when I’m not working, I sleep!” L immediately sprung off the coach and headed toward the cabinets in the kitchen. “Also, my sugar supply is doubled!”

Raito snickered as L began to pull out a box of twinkies, kool-aid packages and more glucose-filled substances. “Apparently, your emotions tend to sky right while on break.” He leaned against the counter as L began to pour cherry kool-aid mix into a pitcher, making a mess while at it. “What’s with the kool-aid? Why not tea?”

“To answer your kool-aid question: To put it in simple terms, kool-aid has more sugar and flavor than plain old black tea. Also you can add powdered sugar to it so I can eat the sugar cubes separately.” L explained as he started adding said sugar to the mix. “My emotions are another thing though…” L began to add water to the sugar-cherry clump. “If I was to show my cheerful emotions in front of grown men then I wouldn’t be respected as much as I am now. It’s better that I remain neutral when with the Task Force.” L paused for a moment. “Raito-chan isn’t disgusted with my emotions, are you?”

Raito chuckled. “No, I tend to get use to it being with girls and these days, Misa and Matsuda.” L simply smiled at his answer and went on making his sugary drink.

“We do have to get things straighten out on your feelings toward me though, Ryuuzaki.” Raito explained, taking a more serious tone than his counterpart. L stopped dead with mixing his drink and blushed again for the third time that day. Before he could drop his pitcher, he placed it on the counter to avoid it going to waste.

“I know quite well that Raito-chan is straight…” L sighed as he popped a cube of sugar in his mouth. “Oh, you can simply just call me L while we’re here.”

“If that’s what you want, Ryuu…L, I mean.” Raito paused for moment, trying to focus on how to put thing nicely. “I don’t into a relationship right now nor would I be with another male.” Raito rubbed his head. “L, I don’t know how to put it but…I can’t return your feelings.”

Raito watched as L continued to satisfy his sugar craving. “Are you even listening?”

“Of course I am, Raito-chan. Why would I not? You are talking about us.” L sat up on the counter with his bag of sugar and continued to eat, swinging his legs over the edge.

“That’s another thing; we need to go over some guidelines between us.” Raito said. He walked up to his counterpart, placed his hands on his shoulders and looked him in the eye. Little too close for his taste due to the fact that L’s face redden the moment he touched him. That and he could feel the love-struck detective’s heart beat ninety to nothing just through his shaking body and the fact that L’s breaths became short at the close range between their faces. “Think before action, Raito…should have followed that lesson.”

Raito shrugged off L’s girly hormones and forced himself to sound serious. “Rule #1: No hugging all over me.”

“What if a situation requires so?”

“…What situation are you talking about?”

L smirked. “Let me demonstrate…” Before Raito had to time to react L screamed LOUD, jumped onto him and clung to his upper body.

“L, WHAT THE-!”

“That’s what a state of panic could end up like Raito-chan.” L said as he hugged the annoyed teen’s neck.

“Yeah well that’s where rule #2 comes in play.” Raito shoved L off him finally scowled. “No passion interactions. I’m gladly away from Misa right now but I don’t need another one with a sugar problem. If you break a rule, then I’ll be forced to kick you…” Raito growled, clearly pissed.

“Well I wouldn’t quite say ‘force’ Raito-chan but more on the terms of ‘provoked enough to want to.’” L pointed out.

“Either way, you can call me chan all you want, but no lovey-dovey shit, are we clear?”

L gave his rare but adorable smile and a double thumbs up. “Peachy keen, Raito-chan!”

Raito shuddered at the excessive excitement. “Is it too late for me to ask for mercy from that ridiculous side of him…?”
