It was a dull evening in the Sohma household as Yuki watched Tohru and Kyo do the dishes together. The first couple of times Kyo asked she told him no, that is was her job, but it seemed she had given up and now it was their nightly ritual. Yuki knew he shouldn't be jealous, but he was. He also knew why Kyo offered to do the dishes...
He watched as Kyo playfully blew soap bubbles toward Tohru, both giggling and unaware of his presence. He had been watching them a lot lately and he had discovered more about their relationship than even they were aware of.
Yuki knew they were in love with each other. He was happy for them, but jealous all at the same time and that made him feel alone. In Yuki's heart, Tohru is precious..he wants her to be happy.
After watching them for what seemed like forever, Yuki got up and quietly made his way towards the two.
"A little old to be playing with bubbles Kyo and good evening Honda-san."
Tohru turned and smiled at Yuki.
"Good evening, Yuki-kun!"
Kyo's face turned about three shades brighter than his hair.
"How long have you been standing there, you stupid rat?!" damn Yuki, always trying to make him look bad, he'd get him one day! Just wait!
"Long enough.."
"Why you! You think you're better than me, don't you? I'll show you a thing or two!" and with that Kyo was in his fighting stance, ready to brawl.
"U-Um, Kyo-kun!" Tohru was at a loss for words to stop this fight. Of course, she didn't have to say anything because....
"Well, if you two are going to stand here and fight, I think I'll just take Tohru-kun for my-"
and with that, Shigure was knocked out cold by Kyo and Yuki.
"Damn pervert!" Kyo grumbled. "I'm going to my room!"
"W-wait, Kyo-kun!" Tohru called, but Kyo had already sprinted to his room and slammed the door.
"Don't worry Honda-san, Kyo will be alright. He can't stay away from you for too long." Yuki added in that last part, just to see her reaction.
Tohru smiled and then realizing what he said, blushed brightly and stumbled away mumbling something about making sure everything was ready for breakfast the next morning.
Yuki smiled, he really loved seeing her happy. And if that damn cat made her happy, then he'd do anything he could to help things along.
