A/N: Alright, I hope this chapter's up to snuff my friends~! Remember, calling this cute gets you in the hospital where Kidd will strangle you~! Please review friends.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Kidd went to answer it, and was extremely shocked at who he saw at the door. Maka was standing there, looking sort of awkward and out of place.
"Uhr... Hi." She said. Kidd gave a rather awkward smile of his own and replied with,
"... Hello." She looked around outside, then asked,
"Hey Kidd, can I come in? I REALLY just need to talk with someone." Kidd was almost paralyzed, but he smiled wider all the same and said,
"Sure, come on in."
Death the Kidd lead Maka Albarn into the perfectly symmetrical mansion, their footsteps on the shining black marble echoing throughout the entire household. The two of them were completely silent, Maka because she was not entirely sure what to say right now and Kidd because he was much too overwhelmed with emotion to speak...
This is absolutely PERFECT, she came running to you instead of anyone else! I think you know what this means, it means you have won! Kidd smirked at the being within his mind in such a way that Maka wouldn't see it. The voice was such an idiot... He had won the second he had made his 'deal' with Soul. The two meisters stopped in the same hallway Kidd had been in before he and the Thompson Sisters had left to see Soul, and Kidd turned to Maka.
"Well, you wanted to talk with me... So let's talk." He said with something of a smile. Maka glanced down at the floor, then sighed and murmured,
"I can't keep up with Soul any more..." Kidd quirked an eyebrow and wondered,
"What do you mean Maka?"
"I've been trying to get stronger so that I can repay Soul for always protecting me as my weapon by protecting him myself when he needed me, but I'm just a human! I can't match up to him, I can't keep up with him, I'm just one girl..." Maka replied, giving Kidd a look of utter hopelessness with her wide green eyes. Kidd stared back at her, his own eyes wide in shock.
I caused this by injuring Soul like this! I injured him and forced her to think about this again, I killed her self esteem- NO, no you did not! It was Soul who forced her to push herself like this, if it wasn't for that devil she'd be free, she wouldn't have to push herself, you have done nothing wrong! IT IS ALL SOUL!! With that last thought, whatever part of him who could think like he used to and could blame himself or Maka slipped away. Kidd was beyond help now... Slowly, Kidd walked up to Maka and embraced her, shocking the female meister. Against her better judgement, Maka blushed.
The hell?! WHY am I blushing?! Maka wondered. But she couldn't find it in her to move away from Kidd and possibly remedy this blushing.
"Maka, you aren't the one at fault. You don't need to push yourself to be able to protect him, you are perfect. He doesn't deserve all you're trying to do-"
And then the authoress paused the chapter with a frown. She had had it. She just couldn't do it any more. So, Uruya turned to the camera and snapped,
"Alright ya maggots, I'm fucking finished with this. I didn't want to continue this from that one shot in the first place, so screw you all. I'm discontinuing this." The screen then faded to black and the readers all ranted in their reviews about what a cocktease this chapter was. And Uruya didn't care. In a few days time Uruya took down the story and decided to forget that she had ever written for Soul Eater. And she lived happily ever after. The end. GO HOME.
