Ninja Generation: Chapter 1

Everything was silent, and the water was stilled as one single leaf hit the water hit the water making ripples flow through the slow moving water. Suddenly, something flew across the grass next to water. It was small, purple cat.

Three other much larger figures - evidently they were people - chased after the cat. The cat dove into the water, out of pure instinct, as one of the people dove in after it. The person swiped at the cat; it actually sent the cat flying from the water into the air. Another one of people jumped through the air and caught the cat in midair. As the person descended, he landed on the other side of the lake. The other person jumped from the lake to the other two and landed near them. The third person, took the cat and it safely, yet neatly into a bag that hung off of the person's back.

As they finished and came into an obvious communication, one of them spoke into a small microphone-like item that was connected to their ears so they could hear.

"Orion," A man could be heard from all the microphones.

Orion, the boy who had caught the cat as it flung from the water spoke to man by clicking a simple small-sized button equipped to the top of the microphone.

"Yes," Orion answered with a sort of deep, yet cool voice came from the boy. "What is it?"

"This is, Itadashi-sensei," The man revealed himself. This man had a voice sort of like, Orion's voice. "Did you happen to capture the correct cat, yet?"

"Itadashi, do not worry," Orion reassured Itadashi. "We have the right animal."

"Does it have a white bow that looks like a flower on its left ear," Itadashi asked to make sure Orion was not lying. "Does it have blue eyes and brown hair?"

"Itadashi," Orion calmly said. "It's all been confirmed. You should not expect less from Team Zero." Orion smirked as if Itadashi would be able to see it. His other two comrades, Randy Uzumaki and Yuki Haruno could see it but they had mixed emotions about the smirk. Randy thought it might look evil and deceivable such as Orion would want others to think. Yuki closed her eyes and blushed at the fact; Orion seemed so much cooler and easier going than Randy was. Yuki also had a large crush on Orion but saw no talent in Randy. It was sad, really, Randy had more talent than anyone realized. Only, his old sensei, Daiko could see bright and sparkling talent in Randy.

It all started on the last day of the Academy right before they were about to graduate. Daiko had called up, "Orion Uchiha and Randy Uzumaki," Daiko said with a wise yet old sort of voice. "Please come to the front and show us a demonstration of how two Ninja should and would fight." Orion and Randy rose to their feet and began walking down a flight of ten wooden-made stairs to a large, open polished floor as Daiko stepped away. Orion and Randy immediately took on each other's poses although, in a sense, they had no specific fighting style. However, Randy's was much more spontaneous and wild than Orion's was.

On that day, Orion and Randy were each about twelve years old. They were young to be experiencing battle, but they were also not too old.

Orion had crimson-colored hair, and his skin was dark but not conceivably light either. He was obviously mixed but he had not even revealed that to Itadashi, as his background was kind of shaky there. His eyes were white as snow and it was very uncommon for Uchiha Clan members such as him to have snow-white eyes. He saw this often times when he looked in the mirror but he had no problem with his eyes. He wore a short sleeved, large collar crimson shirt. He also wore bandages on his left arm and left leg. He wore black shorts and a set of blue sandals. On the back of his shirt was a set of three tomoe; obvious to the fact he wanted Sharingan, the Kekkei Genkai of the Uchiha Clan.

Randy was a bit different, clothing wise and his characteristics were a bit opposite of Orion as well. Randy had dirty blonde hair. Across his forehead, he wore a set of red goggles that he adjusted before beginning any and all battles. His skin was slightly lighter than Orion's but not so much that anyone could pull a joke against the contrast of their skin. Randy's eyes were light blue and often got darker depending on the light focused in the room or area. On his cheek, there were marks that suggested a sort of demon scratched him but only a few knew the truth. Randy wore a long-sleeved red turtleneck but only the collar was white. His pants were also red and he wore blue sandals on his feet.

Daiko looked at Orion and Randy seeing they were determined to beat one another. Their stares would be intimidating to any ninja with the strength and chakra of a Jonin. "Are you two ready?" Daiko asked already knowing the answer.

"As ready as I'll be Daiko." Orion stated.

"For once, he's actually right sensei! Let's get this show on the road!" Randy ordered.

Daiko noticed Orion and Randy never took their eyes off each other once. "Alright, as I see you need to help in that regard," Daiko cleared his throat. "Let us start, then! Hajimashoo!" Daiko yelled for them to start the battle.

"Come on, Randy. It's time to face the realization that you are weak! Come!" Orion ordered overconfidently.

"Time to prove you wrong, Orion!" Randy gave a battle cry as he punched at Orion. Orion blocked Randy's wild punch and kicked him Randy backwards as he hit a wall directly behind him. However, Randy was able to rebound and jump into the air above Orion. This is when Randy began to show his true talent.

Randy made a hand sign that Orion was not familiar with but he was not going to take any chances. But it was too late, as Randy seemed to be advancing on his assault.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu," Randy yelled as he created a few clones and dove down at Orion. "Try and stop me now, Orion!"

Orion made a few hand signs as he opened his mouth. He also put one of his hands into a circle around his mouth. He then yelled, "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Orion blew a wave of fire at Randy and blew away everything in its path including Randy and his clones.

Randy was hit into the ceiling. As Randy was hit into the ceiling, he exploded in a large poof and a log had appeared.

Orion thought to himself as he looked around to try and search for any presence of Randy, ...Where is he? Orion found no presence of Randy until it was too late. Randy had made two of his Shadow Clones grab Orion's shoulders and throw him upward. Unfortunately, the clones were only able to throw Orion a few feet into the air before Orion took two kunai from his weapons pocket that rested on his upper left leg and threw them at the clones destroying them the instant the kunai hit them. Randy was not done.

Randy appeared above Orion and threw a punch at his head. Seconds before the punch was thrown, Orion was somehow able to see it coming and he grabbed Randy throwing him towards the ground. Randy hit the ground with a hard thump and was knocked unconscious as Orion descended to the ground, a few feet from Randy.

Sweat dripped from his face as he fell to his feet and sat down exhausted from fighting Randy.

Randy woke up several seconds later and felt very dizzy from the fall. He shook his head and glared at Orion because he could know see everything clearly. But inside, he gave Orion kudos for defeating him.

As Orion looked at Randy and smirked at him, Randy saw how Orion had defeated. It was all because of what had appeared in Orion's eyes: Sharingan.
