Hello, all!! This is a new story, but to me, it's a bit old, so...yeah...I hope you enjoy it!

Himeko

She had to be officially one of the prettiest girls I’d ever seen in my life. I couldn’t help but think that. I mean, if you were there, I’m so sure that you would have the exact same thoughts going through your head as I did.

I was online on some random ‘friends’ site, and I saw a picture of a girl, who’s face was partly covered by a jacket hood. Just that small section of skin that stood out was pretty. After the first time I saw the picture, I became obsessed. I asked all of my friends, because little did I know until someone said it, she lived in the same small town I did. I couldn’t rest until I found out her name. I just had to know. It was one of those things that can’t be let go until you go through to the end.

I was even more thrilled when I heard that she went to the same high school as I did. She was in the Senior class, and she was pretty smart, from what I’d heard. Everyone looked at me suspiciously when I asked about her.

It was obvious that they were worried that this would end up being another ‘Ex’. Things didn’t work out the last time I became obsessed…

That aside, I didn’t think that I would take it so far as to start emailing her during the summer vacations. It seemed impossible at first. What would she think of me? Would she think I was creepy? I was so afraid that I would scare her off…

She replied with a smile, and I was a little shocked, but I didn’t stay that way for too long. She needed a reply from me, right?

‘Hey, What’s up, Chikane? Lol, I’m just here with my friend, looking at stuff for a research paper. What are you doing? -Himeko ;D’

‘Hi, Himeko. I’m just looking for a way to pass the time. –Chikane’

Seemed simple enough, right? Well, this would happen for two weeks before anything happened.

Chikane

One day, I came home from school and plopped down into my desk chair, pulling my long azure hair into a ponytail at the high end of my head. I stripped off the school vest and tossed it across the room, the air stopping it in the middle of its journey.

“Would Ojou-sama like some tea? I’ve just brewed it.” A maid with large blonde curls grinned as she placed a tray of tea and some small cakes on the desk in front of me.

“Thank you.” I said quietly as I poured sugar into the steaming cup, using a spoon to stir the tea. With a bow, she was gone. She’d closed the door behind her, which is what I always wanted.

“Now, let’s see…” I smiled as I clicked on the internet icon. I got a little annoyed when something went wrong with it and it had to start up again, but I had patience. Once the system rebooted, I logged in to my account on that ‘friends’ site and smiled.

‘Three new messages, huh?’ I grinned. Clicking on the first one at the bottom, I read what Himeko had written to me excitedly.

Chikane, when do I get to meet you in person? I’ve been waiting for a long time! I want to see you in person… -Himeko’

‘You’ll see me sooner than you think…but you can’t run away from me when you meet me, okay? -Chikane’

‘Run away? Are you really a man? Because if you are, I don’t think it would be a good idea then… -Himeko’

‘A man? Ew, no I’m not a man, I promise you that. –Chikane’

‘Okay…then, when? -Himeko’

‘When the time is right. –Chikane’

With a smile, I clicked the internet browser off and continued eating what the head maid had set in front of me. I was usually starving when I got let out of school. As I lifted a small cake to my mouth, there was a knock at the door.

Placing the cake on the plate in front of me, I turned to the door, curious as to who would interrupt me. A man walked in then, an apologetic look on his fat features.

“I’m sorry to interrupt you in your relax time, Himemiya-sama.” The fat man fumbled his fingers and dabbed at his forehead with a hanky. Honestly, why did people think I was going to kill them for talking to me?

“It is no disturbance. What is it you need?” I spoke slightly bored. Usually, these guys came when they needed money.

“Erm…it’s about those maintenance issues we talked about a few weeks ago…it’s going to cost us a great sum of…” there it was. It was always about money. The man looked at me as if he was being strangled.

“Yes…I suppose I remember about that. How much were you in need of?” I asked in a disinterested tone as I sipped my tea. He seemed to squirm as he shuffled to sit in front of my desk.

“It’s a good sum…I’m not sure if you would be willing-” I placed my cup down hard, making the china clank slightly. I looked at him, and I knew that my eyes must be cold.

“If you aren’t going to tell me the sum, how about I just guess the amount you need so that you come up short?” I growled. These people frustrated me. Why did my father send them to me? He should deal with these idiots.

“I apologize…” he looked at his entwined fingers on his lap. “We were looking into about…” Boy, this was going to be one long day.

Himeko

“Himeko!!” I turned when I heard my cousin calling me, only to be crushed into a hug. “Where were you this morning?! I made breakfast and everything! Since when do you skip out on food?”

“I’m sorry, Mako-chan, I’m just…I don’t feel like eating…” she looked at me crossly, “No, no, not like that. I’m just not hungry anymore…how can I think of food when I can’t stop thinking about her?”

“Aww, she’s just a girl! C’mon, don’t get all mushy and emotional because you like her that much. You barely talk to her! You haven’t spoken to her once over the phone, or in person. How could you feel so strongly?” Mako grinned as she slung an arm over my shoulders.

“I don’t know…I just don’t want to scare her away or anything…But, it feels like I’ve known her for a long time…” I smiled softly as an image of her popped into my head. Of course, the only image that ever popped up was her default picture from the site, but of course, my imagination plays a good role, too.

“Yeah, yeah. Just don’t get all caught up this time. Remember, we need to win a tournament this year.” Mako high-fived a guy that passed by.

“But…how can I concentrate? I always find myself thinking about her, looking around for anyone that fits her description, anything! It always has to be about her!” I whimpered, rubbing my forearm.

“Well, you’re letting her get under your skin. You should try to busy yourself with other things. Besides, do you want me to have to pick your pieces up again? That was brutal what that other girl did to you. That bitch. Never saw it coming!” Mako pumped her free fist into the air, flexing her arm.

“You shouldn’t say that, Mako-chan! That’s not nice!!” I tried to hush her, but failed miserably.

“Well, she isn’t here to hear me say it, now is she? Anyway, you going to practice today? Or are you skipping out again?” Mako looked at me seriously, looking closely.

“I don’t think I’m going to go. I’m tired today, and I’m pretty sure the coach is still trying to recover from the leg injury, so I’ll be the last thing she wants to see.” I looked at the ground and frowned. Was it really my fault if she hadn’t paid attention?

“Aww, come on!! We have to teach the noobs today! Don’t make me teach them alone!!” Makoto jumped up front and spun around, her lower lip trembling to give her puppydog look a push.

“Fine. Don’t expect too much from me, though.” I smiled, hugging my friend’s face into my chest. “Make that face again, and I’ll smother it to my chest until you can’t breathe.” After a few moments of makoto’s struggles, she fell backward onto her bottom with a smack.

“Why can’t you do that to me in a nice way? Ever?” Mako grinned and stood up, swinging her arm back around my shoulders. “Like…in the locker rooms? Do you remember when we were giving the new girls the tour and one of the track girls flashed us her-” I clamped my hand over her mouth quickly, before anything vulgar came out of it.

“ Yes, I remember, and I don't want to remember any detail, so let's just drop it, yes? Good Mako-chan." I giggled as Mako licked the inside of my hand, "Gross!!!" I wiped it on her shirt.

"Hey!" "Watch it!" "Hey, Hey!!" "Slow down!!" "She's going to end up hurting someone!!" "Someone please call security!" A bunch of alarmed voices began to sound as a person blurred past, accidentally knocking people to the ground, or slamming said people into lockers on either side of the hallway, girls falling on their bums with a cry.

When the person got to where Makoto was standing, she rammed right into her. Makoto wasn't having that, not at all. Using her speed and strength, Mako grabbed the hood of the person's jacket and yanked them back roughly until the stranger had her pinned to the wall. I couldn't react very quickly, so I stood there like an idiot until it finally clicked.

"Hey, break it up!" A security guard that stood by the whole time decided to interrupt their moment, "Don't make me have to separate you!"

"Don't you worry, I won't make you do anything you might want to." The stranger spat, releasing Makoto without as much as a glance at anyone around her.

"Bitch." Makoto growled as she reached out to me, slinging her arm around my neck, attempting to comfort herself more than me. The stranger girl looked at me through her very dark shades, designers, and her hood covering most of her face, but she was looking. After a moment, her mouth opened slightly, gasping.

'Odd...' I couldn't figure why this rude creature couldn't stop starring. Makoto cleared her throat after a moment and pulled me away.

"You are going to practice. I'm through with begging." Mako frowned, her collarbone turning a slight purple.

"Always the dominant one, aren't you?" I smiled, still shaken from the girl's attentive stare.

"Always the submissive one, aren't you?" She didn't smile. "That's the part that worries me."

Chikane

"That was Himeko!! That had to have been her!!" Chikane screamed in her head as she drove her black Mercedes through the roads of downtown mahoroba, just trying to clear her head. "What do I do? She probably thinks I'm the biggest jerk in the world!" She wanted to scream, but settled for slamming on the brakes as a figure sprinted across the street without looking where she was going. She climbed out of her car angrily, already agitated and screamed, "What in the world is wrong with you!! Don't run into the street like that! Look both ways!"

"I-I'm sorry!! I was late for a meeting, and I wasn't thinking! I'm sorry!!" A girl wailed as she clutched at her right foot, injury obvious. Chikane hadn't looked at the girl previously from yelling at her, but she did now. Golden hair and amethyst eyes, it was no other than the girl who plagued her thoughts constantly and made her crazy.

"Himeko?" Chikane's eyes were downcast with shame. She shouldn't have yelled, and now Himeko was hurt.

"Do I know you? I don't believe we've met before..." Himeko looked confused. Chikane took her hair into her hands and pulled it to cover half of her face, the way her default picture was. Recognition and apprehension dawned on Himeko's face like a sunset. "Chikane-chan."

"Yep. You guessed it. I'm sorry that you're injured. It's my fault...Do you want me to take you to a hospital?" Chikane moved to the other side of the car to push the door open, walking back to Himeko's side.

"No, don't worry...it's just a scratch, i'll be fine." Himeko tried to stand, but wavered quickly, falling into Chikane's embrace. Their faces were so close, it was only natural that they would both blush so brightly, it put the sun to shame. To Chikane, this embrace felt extremely familiar. Like she'd either been there before, or she was made just for Himeko. They fit perfectly.

"Come with me. If you don't want to go to a hospital, the least I can do is take you and get you patched up." Chikane smiled as she lifted Himeko gingerly into her arms, walking fast paced to the passenger's side of her car, and seating her precious cargo inside, shutting the door gently. Behind her car, an obnoxious red Camaro honked, the driver yelling at Chikane to move her piece of crap car off the road. She just glared. The man obviously didn't know what was new on the market, did he?

She sat in her seat and shut the door, turning the keys in the ignition. It purred to life and the seats didn't even jolt. Himeko hadn't been in a car this nice since...ever. She looked around, marveling at the leather interior and fascinated by the GPS system installed inside the car, but since she was very well mannered and shy, she didn't touch anything. With expertise and care, Chikane maneuvered the car through the streets of Mahoroba until she came upon a large condominium complex. Chikane parked the car in the garage and helped Himeko out, supporting most of her weight.

"Where are we?" Himeko asked as she looked around in awe. Chikane chuckled as Himeko hopped, but soon her amusement wavered when Himeko nearly toppled over, the pain in her leg crippling her. She settled for carrying her bridal style into the clean, furnished lobby of the complex.

"Good Afternoon, Miss Himemiya. Oh, would you like help with your friend there? Is she hurt? I can call a clinic if you like..." A balding man was seated at the front desk, his forehead and cheeks sweating slightly. He sighed when Chikane shook her head.

"I've got her." Chikane walked to an elevator without another moment's hesitation, pushing the button for the highest floor. Himeko started to wiggle, signaling that she wanted to be let down, but Chikane didn't seem to notice.

"Chikane-chan...? Can you put me down? I can stand..." Himeko spoke meekly, not wanting to upset her 'friend'. Chikane shook her head again.

"Nope. I'm not putting you down until we get to where we're going. I need to take care of you, and putting you down wouldn't be taking care of you." Chikane blushed lightly, her lips curving upward slightly when Himeko colored darkly.

"B-But, you don't have to take care of me...I'm grateful enough that you stopped to see if I was okay....it's not necessary for you to care for me." Himeko buried her face into her hands, tears of embarassment welling up. Chikane felt a stab of guilt. She didn't want Himeko to feel this way...this wasn't how it was supposed to happen. She was supposed to sweep Himeko off her feet like her knight in shining armor, but so far, she'd just threw the whole thing off.

"You don't understand." Chikane sounded close to tears, it really upset her that Himeko was upset and possibly frightened, "I want to take care of you. I want to more that I've ever wanted anything." Himeko looked into her eyes and saw the depths of her soul. The icy exterior was wearing away, Chikane knew, but she didn't think she needed it with Himeko.

"I've always fantasized about what our first meeting would be like," Himeko spoke softly, not wanting the beautiful girl to break down and cry, thus dropping her, "It wasn't like this. I imagined something a bit more romantic..."

"This isn't romantic?" Chikane laughed quietly, "I'm trying my best here!"

"Well, it's not quite there yet, but if this is how we're going to meet, I'll take it." Himeko blushed brightly again, burying her face into Chikane's neck, hiding her face.

"Me too." Chikane sat on the elevator floor, seating Himeko on her lap, hoping that she wouldn't find it weird or awkward. She didn't hint at it, or make it obvious.

I think this is a great start!!! Review for the next chapter!! :DDD
