Oceaus stopped in his tracks.
“You’re nothing but a worthless little runt. I bet your mummy dresses you in the mornings.” A huge figure loomed over him, knife in hand, and a belt in the other. The others in his gang laughed manically as he said this. The man lunged at Oceaus, but he dodged out of the way. The man, now sprawled on ground, cursed under his breath. He shook he head as he stood up. He looked around, but Oceaus was already running, and his followers were waiting for his orders.
“What the hell are you waitin’ for, get that son of a bitch!” They did as he said. ‘Man, that kids fast, what is he, like, 14?’ one of the thugs thought. Oceuas was fast, but they were faster, due to the fact they pushed people out of the way. He could see them out of the corner of his eye. Coming closer. He drew what looked like cards from his pocket. He turned around. The thugs faltered, spluttered, then burst into hysterics.
“You’re going to try and use duel monster cards to beat us?!” the biggest spoke in a deep, smoke filled voice. Oceaus, unphased by this, drew a card from his deck.
“Perfect”
He lifted his arm high into the air and shouted into the night
“CARD CALLING! MIND WIPE!” a stunned expression crossed the thugs’ faces, then a blank, dull look. “You will forget about me, you will not tell your boss what happened, and you will sell lavenders for the rest of your life!” he snickered at the last part. Then he gave the alley one last swift look, and departed into the streets of Domino.
“So, this kid can do it as well?” a bloody nosed shadow from a doorway whispered. “That changes everything.”
“Yami! Yami where are you?”
Yami turned from the stove where he was cooking their breakfast and chuckled,
“What is it that’s got you so excited hmm?”
“We got a letter from Mauritius!”
“And?” Yami grinned at his rather excitable hikari
“It’s from Grandpa.” Yugi read through the letter and he laughed,
“Grandpa says he’s enjoying his retirement and that he’s definitely not
missing the rain.”
Yami looked out of the window “But it’s not raining Yugi.”
Yugi went to say something then realised that Yami was teasing him “Yami!
That’s not what I meant and you know it!”
“Yeah, well...” Yugi started, but was interrupted by the doorbell.
“I’ll get it, aibou” Yami said, sighing at the same time.
Yami opened the door to find Ryou smiling up at him, with a disgruntled looking Bakura in tow.
“Ryou, happy birthday!” exclaimed yugi, and bounced from the living room to give his friend a warm greeting. “Oh, and hi Bakura.”
“Hello, Yugi,” he said, traces of an English accent seeped through his words. “Long time no see.”
“Ryou, it was yesterday morning. So, whats it like being 17?”
“Nothing has changed much, just the fact that ‘Kura is being nice to me.”
Yami and Yugi stared at him and his Yami.
“What?”
“Oh, nothing”
Then a sound was heard. First a creek was heard, then a pant, and then an almighty CRASH, which shook the whole shop, as Joey Wheeler step from the kitchen, spatula entangled in his hair.
“Puppy, try to use the door in future, or at least the flap.” Seto Kaiba had pushed his way past Ryou and Bakura into the hall.
They all started to stare at him instead.
“Ok, listen, im only here because I was promised some good duels by Yugi.”
“But I didn’t-“ Yugi started. But both Seto and Joey gave Yugi a stare that could put Yami’s ‘penalty game’ stare to shame.
Yugi was the only one who new about Seto and Joey being together. Even he and Mokuba agreed it was a smart match.
Yugi heard a faint “yes master” from Joey’s direction.
Yami returned to the kitchen, to find his utensils laying across the floor.
/I’m so gonna kill him/
//Better not, or Seto will kill you.
/What do you mean, aibou?/
//They’re together, Yami, and before you shout out to everyone, don’t, they want it a secret//
/Can you show me?/
//No//
/Yes, or I’ll tell them all/
//Fine, blackmail, here//
Across the mind link, Yami saw Yugi walking into the bathroom at Kaiba Mansion, where they were for Seto’s birthday, to see him and Joey making out//
/Aww, how cute./
// Now cook some pancakes, Yami, or I’ll tell them you got it outta me by torture.//
/They might get the wrong idea/
‘Maybe I want that’ Yugi said to himself’
“Right, who wants pancakes?!”
After pancake cinnamon syrupy choclatey heaven, duel monster tournament number 18, truth or dare and snacks, Ryou and Bakura decided to leave, and since everyone now knew they were together, thanks to truth or dare, didn’t complain, under pain of death.
Yami went to open the door to let them out to find…
A sodden and bloodstained teen, of about 15, ask politely
“ Good evening, Yami Atemu, may I come in.
