A/n: Hello! Another new story coming your way! Working really hard on this one, it's been in progress for a while now and I was waiting to get most the chapters complete before posting it like I did with 'Forget me Not' so you're not waiting as long to get the following chapters! But I wanted to see the reception to the first chapter so please be aware that this will be the only chapter untill I've completed my other 'Sweep' fics. So please read, review and most importantly... you guessed it! Enjoy!

Summary: Set after the events of ‘Full Circle’ Morgan returns to Widow’s Vale after her summer in Scotland at the Wiccan School. Hunter also returns from seeing his family in England. An old friend of Hunter’s, who is a member of the council, comes to convince Hunter he needs to return to the council and Morgan learns there is more to Hunter’s past with this stranger than she could ever imagine. Meanwhile someone is working dark Magick and is plotting revenge against Morgan and Hunter…

Disclaimer – Not mine! (Well okay this idea and some of the characters are mine!)

I can’t believe it; finally I’m a senior. Just another step closer to graduating and going to college and possibly moving in with Hunter… I can’t wait for this year to finish! The past summer was amazing. I went to Dublan Cahn in Scotland to study with the best in magicks. I’ve learnt so much, I’m now taking initiation classes with Amanda Hawton, who was a tutor in Scotland, she’s moved over here temporarily just to help me study and make sure I pass my initiation which will take place just over a year from now sometime just before Mabon. Hunter is on his way back from England, I can’t wait to see him, it’s been 5 weeks since I last saw him, Goddess I’ve missed him so much. He came out to see me one weekend while I was in Scotland. We speak everyday on the phone. While we were talking tonight he says he has some news for me and he’s bringing back a surprise. I wonder what it is!

- Morgan x

I was the last person to see him alive. I must admit we were never close, but after all he was family. Seeing him in such bad shape was pitiful to watch. I saw him die right in front of my eyes. He was always so sure of his destiny. I’ve never had focus like he did. I’ve always lived my life as I pleased, came and went as I pleased and used my magick as I pleased. It was hard living a life under his shadow. My parents were always disapproving of me, telling me I should be more like him. That we should work together because we’d make an unstoppable team. But now, he’s gone and technically that puts me in charge of things. Not his children, not his widow, me. They are all too weak to take control… But I am ready to take control now; I’m ready to make my parents proud, even in their death. And I promise there will be no one with power greater than my own. No matter the cost.

Morgan. My eyes shot open I looked at the clock on my bedside table the time, it was one-thirty in the morning. I cast out my senses and everyone in my house was fast asleep, everyone except for me. I cast my senses out further, outside of the house and found the source of my awakening. I smiled and my heartbeat raced. Morgan. I heard his voice in my head again.

I threw off the covers and slipped my feet into my bunny slippers and went to my window, and there he was stood out on my yard in front of his car smiling up at me. His light blonde hair shining in the moonlight. I could barely contain my excitement. I put my night gown on over my pyjamas I knew it was cooler out tonight and quietly padded down the stairs, only just missing tripping over my grey cat, Dagda, who was curled up on the bottom step sleeping. He lifted his little triangular head in surprise, “Sorry!” I whispered to him, and slowly he lowered his head to get back to sleep.

I hurried over to the front door where Hunter Niall, my boyfriend, was waiting for me, “Hey you,” I said keeping my voice low so I wouldn’t wake my family. I closed the door behind me and we were stood on my front porch, I was surprised by how calm I was behaving in his presence, “Hello yourself,” he replied with a smile. Unable to hold myself back any longer I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him in for a kiss. The first kiss we’d shared in over 5 weeks.

We stood there on the porch kissing for a long time, when we finally parted we were both out of breath. “Miss me?” Hunter enquired. I rolled my eyes

“Nah!” I said dismissively, “Not really,” I wasn’t sure if Hunter realised I was being sarcastic or not, so I playfully swatted him on the shoulder, “Of course I did you big dope!” I told him.

He moved closer to me and wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead, “I missed you so much,” he said. Blissfully I closed my eyes for a moment.

“When did you get in?” I asked, Hunter had just returned from England, he’d been to see his family over the summer while I was at the Wiccan school in Scotland.

“I’ve literally just arrived in Widow’s Vale, My flight landed about two hours ago,” he informed me, “I’m sorry to just turn up and wake you in the middle of the night,” he said sincerely, he then unfolded me from his embrace and held my upper arms so we were face to face, “I just couldn’t wait to see you!” he smiled

“I’m glad you did, I needed to see you too,” I replied, “So no Sky?” I asked, Sky Eventide, Hunter’s cousin had gone with him back to England, in their absence they left our coven Kithic in the hands of a good friend, Bethany Malone. I noticed neither Sky nor Hunter’s Father, Daniel Niall, was in the car with him.

Hunter shook his head, “Not yet,” he answered, “Alwyn has decided she wants to move up here to be with me and Da, so he and Sky are going to fly back next week now instead to get her things sorted and organize a visa, I however couldn’t wait to come back,”

“Why’s that?” I asked playing dumb; I leaned back against my front door

“Oh there’s a really beautiful, amazing witch here in Widow’s Vale that I just can’t live without,” he replied and he leaned forward, he rested his palms on the door on either side of my head, looking down at me with a cheeky grin.

“She sounds nice, anyone I know?” I asked

He shook his head, “No, I don’t think so,” he broke into a smile and pulled me into another kiss that made all my nerves tingle and my toes curl with delight, “I better let you go back to sleep,” he said when his mouth left mine, “It’s a school night, you’ll be walking around like a Zombie tomorrow” he knew me too well, “Like I said, I just couldn’t wait to see you,”

“Well tomorrow’s Friday,” I said, I was feeling quite brave tonight, “I could come over after school, and since you have the house to yourself for a while, I could tell my mom I’m stopping over at Bree’s and we could spend the night together and all day Saturday,” I suggested

Hunter smiled, “I’d like that very much,” he replied, he leaned down and kissed my cheek, “Good night, Morgan, I will see you tomorrow,”

“Night, Hunter” I replied, “I love you,”

“I love you too,” he turned and headed back to car, I watched him as he drove off and then I went back inside and headed back to bed. I was almost too excited to fall back asleep, almost.

The next morning I slept through my alarm, I woke up screaming from the glass of cold water that my younger sister, Mary K had poured over my face. I bolted upright and wiped the water out of my eyes and off my forehead, “Jesus, Mary K!” I cried,

“I had to turn your alarm off for you” she informed me, “how you slept through that shrill buzzing is beyond me, late night was it?” she raised her eyebrows

“Mmm” I managed to grunt and attempted to lie back down and snuggle under the covers

“Come on, Morgan, its eight-thirty, we’re going to be late” Mary K warned and headed out of my room

Eight-Thirty? Crap! I jumped out of bed and literally had a two minute shower, brushed my teeth and twisted my long wet hair into a braid with practiced movements and threw on a blue sweater and a pair of jeans, grabbed my book bag and ran down the stairs, Mary K who was stood at the bottom of the stairs holding an apple in her hand for me knowing I wouldn’t have time to get any breakfast.

“Thanks” I said then rushed into the kitchen where dad was sat at the table reading the morning newspaper and mom was making a cup of coffee, “I’m going to stay at Bree’s tonight, is that okay?” I asked them, my parents looked at each other, doing that telepathic parental thing and then my mom looked at me,

“Sure,” she said “just give us a ring tonight to let us know you’re okay,”

I nodded, “I promise! See you!” I called as I rushed out, Mary K was just outside the kitchen and she followed me out to my ’71 Chrysler Valiant, fondly named ‘Das Boot’ as we climbed in I took a bite of the apple and noticed a huge grin on my sisters face, “What?” I asked, I couldn’t help but smiling myself, I turned the ignition and pulled out of the drive, Mary K giggled, “What?!” I asked again

“Staying at Bree’s?” she looked at me expectantly with her eyebrows raised, “Despite that it’s a commonly known fact, since you’ve gone on about it for the last week, that Hunter has just got back from England”

“Was it that obvious?” I asked

Mary K nodded, “To me anyway, mom and dad must not have realised otherwise they wouldn’t have said yes,”

“Please, don’t tell them,” I pleaded with her

“No, I won’t” she promised, “So will you and Hunter be…” she queried. I nodded a reply, “Oh my god! Have you already?” she asked, again I nodded, “When?” she asked

“Once just before I left for Scotland in the summer, and again whilst in Scotland, he came to visit me one weekend,” I told her

“Wow,” she said, “What is it like?” she asked

I shiver ran down my spine just thinking about it, “It’s… nice,” I smiled

“Nice? Is that all you can tell me?” she persisted, “Did it hurt?”

“A little, just at first” I admitted, “and then it felt… nice” just then I pulled up in the parking lot at the school,

“So I take it I’m going to have to get a lift with Jaycee or Alisa tonight,” Mary K grinned

“‘Fraid so sis,” I replied

“Okay,” she opened the car door and climbed out, “See you later, have fun tonight,” she wiggled her eyebrows at me making me laugh. I climbed out and locked the car door and swung my book bag over my shoulder and headed into the building just as the bell rang signalling for home room. Luckily I caught my best friend, Bree Warren’s arm just before she walked into the class room.

“Hey Morgan,” she smiled

“Hey, if my parents ask, I’m staying at yours tonight,” I told her,

“Why? What are you doing?” she asked as we headed into the classroom and took our seats side by side

“I’m staying at Hunter’s tonight,” I replied

Bree flashed me a smile, “That’s right,” she said, “You guys are doing it now,”

“Don’t put it like that” I said, “but yes, we are,”

“It’s about time,” she grinned
