What is Truth

When it happened, the day I came here, I couldn't believe it, I was sure I was in a hospital somewhere, unconsious, slowly I began to accept the truth.
But what after all, is truth?

The same day I heard the rain,
that was the day I arrived.
It's so impossible, but then
nothing's impossible for God.
Especially if He can kill His only begotten son.

I can't believe he's going to die...

It hurt... a lot,
It's all Samson's fault too.
If he hadn't left his dirty sock on the stairs.
If I had seen it when I was carrying the basket.
But he did and I didn't.
I suppose it would have happened anyways.
It was after all,
"God's will"

Falling down the stairs onto a cement floor.
It's not fun.
I'm sure I twisted my ankle.
I'm sure I cracked my skull,
I'm sure I'm really dead,
but somehow I'm here.

When I opened my eyes,
well, I felt first...
I felt heat, everywhere.
My skin, it was burning,
The grains of sand that I was lying on...
They felt like they were red hot,
Boring into my skin.

Then I felt a hand.
Two of them.
They were so cool compared to the sand.
Ruff but gentle,
and large.
They were a man's hands.

They proped my up,
cradling me like I was a child.
Then I felt water, first across my head,
the fingers wiping the drops across my skin
Then upon my lips.

I reacted, like an animal.
I didn't even open my eyes, but grabbed,
grabbed for the flask bearing the water.
Greadily I drank,
so quickly.

"Slow down or you'll make yourself sick."
That's what he told me,
that was the first time I heard his voice,
It was so gentle, so kind....
He wasn't speaking English.
I knew that, somewhere in the back of my mind.
But somehow I knew what he was saying.
I could understand him.

That's when I opened my eyes,
when, although I was still thirsty,
I didn't have to drink.
And when I opened them,
I saw the betrayer of Jesus.
I saw someone that all Christians loathed,
but I didn't know that,
not then,
all I knew, was that
he was the most amazing person I'd ever met
and he had saved me,
though I didn't know from what.

He smiled at me gently,
removing the waterflask from my hands.
Cradling me like a child
While the hot sun beat down on me.
I tryed my best to smile at him,
to return the smile he was giving me,
but exhaustion soon took over and my eyelids began to droop.

"Sleep," he told me, "You're safe now."

And in that moment I really think I was,

.But not anymore.
