Chapter two: Hurray! Japan

She was highly annoying and wasn’t even close to looking like his dream woman. She had average hair, eyes, body, and dreams. She was average above everything and had a knack of saying witty things. What started out as a confession that he wanted to hear…it became something more. AtobeXOC

POV: Anako Ami

The alarm clock kept on beeping, how ever many times I clicked off the snooze button. I became very annoyed of it and finally threw it across the room and heard it shatter against my closet door. Ah! The beauty of silence…well that is until annoying siblings come wake you up.

“ANAKO!! Get your lazy butt up!! Mom, says that if you don’t, blah, blah, blah….” ugh…sometimes I really wish I could throw annoying younger siblings against my closet door…

“Okay, okay, geez Masako, learn how to shut your trap!” I yell at my younger sibling. She gives me this, ‘Oh no you didn’t look’ and rushes out the door. The pain of freshman in high school! I muster all my might to get off my bed and look at myself in the mirror.

Now, my image in the morning is something people would die if they saw. No, I did not wake up beautifully, like I just came from a salon, it’s the total opposite. I look as if I’ve partied till 2 a.m., puked on myself, then went to bed. Amazing how my family can look at me when I wake up.

I grab my school uniform, a bra, a underwear, socks and a towel and head straight for the shower. The tap at my new house takes a while to pour out the warm water so I just stand in the shower shivering in the cold water. Brilliant, if I may say so myself.

My family consist of a very annoying father, a loving mother, annoying freshman sister, and a cute little sister. Oh, and my very GAY brother. He’s not gay, I just like to label him as one. Yue, my brother, is staying back in Korea with my aunt. He wants to finish college in Seoul, I don’t blame the guy either. Heck, even I wanted to stay!

Oh…sorry about not introducing myself earlier! Name is Anaoko Ami. I moved from Seoul, Korea to Tokyo, Japan. I can speak both Japanese and Korean fluently since my dad is Korean and my mom is Japanese. Currently 17 and a NEW senior at Hyoutie Gakuen. One of the most prestigious school in Japan, huzza! Ugh…yeah right.

You’re probably thinking, ‘what a weird girl…shouldn’t she be cheering because she’s going to Hyoutie Gakuen?’ Bah to all of you who think I should be cheering. The tuition is so high that my dad has to work double jobs!

The only reason I got into there is because of my exceptional skills in math. Hyoutie, each year, look for participants who score above and over the average scores. They then round up all the little piggies and give them scholarships to attend there high school. And guess who got picked? Me.. Well no duh, I just told you in the paragraph above.

Anyway I hate schools that have rich kids in their schools. They think they are so much more better than everyone else! Get’s on my nerves sometimes….

“Ana-chan!” That’s my dad…he loves to annoy me when he gets the chance. Me and my dad have this weird bond but were still very close. I finish drying my hair and brushing my teeth. I give myself another look through in the mirror. I’m wearing the Hyoutie uniform which consist of a black plaid skirt, a white collared shirt, and a light brown over jacket. I tie on my red bow a little tighter on my neck under the collar of my shirt and stare at myself.

Korean uniforms would have done me more justice. The skirt was way to frick’n short!! I slouched a bit in my standing position in hoping that my skirt would get shorter. Nope, no luck. I frowned and pull up my socks. I apply some cover up, blush, eyeliner, and mascara to myself and give a smile. Hey, a girls got to cover up her mistakes.

I tie my hair up into a pony tail and clip on regular pearl earrings I bought at Claires in Korea. I looked just like me, that’s how I liked it anyway. I trudge downstairs after depositing my sleepwear in my room and take a seat in the dinning room.

“Morning.” I say to everyone in Korean.

“good morning to you also honey.” My mom says in Korean.

“Honey, we are suppose to speak Japanese! Not Korean!” My crazy dad says.

“Pabo! Even if we are in Japan doesn’t mean we can’t speak Korean!” I said as I began to devour my delicious breakfast.

“Ya! Call your old man a Pabo again!” My father said.

“Tch..never mind, I’m heading off to school!” I said in Japanese. I clean off my plate and bow at my mother. “Thanks for the food.”

My dad shakes his head as I head up stairs to get my stuff. “When did out daughter get so rebellious?”

I grabbed my essential things and placed them in my bag. Taking one look around to see if I was set , I slipped my shoes on and went downstairs. My mom waited for me downstairs with my bento in her hands.

“Sorry Anako, it’s been a while since I made a homemade bento.”

“It’s fine. Plus you never disappoint me with your amazing cooking skills!” I gently take the bento box from my mom’s hand and give her a hug. “See you after school Okaa-san. Oh! And if Meiko wakes up tell her that I said sorry for not saying bye to her!” I said as I go out the front door.

“Sure thing Anako!” my mom says as I shut the door. I walk down our new walk way and turn to see my dad starting the car.

“Otou-san, I’m going!” I said. He pops his head out of the car and gives me a wave.

“Careful when your walking on the streets now! Masako already went ahead!”

“Figures…that brat..” I mumble to myself as I walk off into the side walk. For the past two weeks moving in and settling things in the house, I managed to find a quick and efficient way to walk to Hyoutie. It took me a couple of days to figure out where the heck Hyoutie High School was on my personal map of Tokyo. Then I checked for the nearest transportation, and easy safe routes to get to the transportation.

I sound like such a freak! Gah! Oh well, at least I know which way to go. I walk along the side walk next to the river. It’s so peaceful and quite that it scares me. Moving from Korea to Japan wasn’t that bad. It actually felt kind of good to have change.

‘Wonder how Ara is doing?’ If you don’t know yet, Go Ara is my best friend in Korea. She’s way gorgeous though….I wonder how we became such good friends?

I flip out my worn out silver phone and dial Ara’s cell number. “ Who the hell are you and why are you calling me in the middle of a love confession?!”

“Aish! Yah! Go Ara! I give you a call in the morning time and you decide to yell at me about how your in the middle of a love confession! Have you gone mad!?” I yell back into the receiver.

“Bo! Who is this!?” Ara yelled back.

“Pabo! It’s Anako! A-N-A-K-O!!”

“Anako….ah! Anako!! How are you?!”

I take a breath first before I yell at Ara and her stupidity. “You pabo! don’t you ever check caller ID? Whatever, I can’t believe that your in the middle of a love confession and you yell at me because I’m interrupting. You should be GLAD that I’m actually interrupting because the guy could be a total jerk! Who is he anyway?”

“Um…Seo Jung sunbae…” Ara said quietly.

“Bo! Seo Jung sunbae!” I totally can’t believe it. The man is like a total retard. Sure he’s a hotty but he’s a total dumb idiot.

“Ara, listen. If you date him, you are so dead!! Understand! Aigoo…I have to go Ara, call you later.” I said and clicked the phone dead. That Ara was so dead when I see her!

I make it to the subway and clamber on. Wow were their many students. Lots of them were male too. I slid into a seat and stare at all the different uniforms. I didn’t see any with my type of uniform on and I must admit, I felt very out of place. A guy wearing a blue cap and a yellow-ish uniform with a tennis bag walked over next to me.

“Excuse me, is anyone sitting here?” He asked politely.

“Eh? Ah…no one is sitting their. Your welcomed to sit in the seat.” I reply back in Japanese. He sat down next to me and said nothing as we rode on. Geez…I wondered when my Japanese became so bad? I haven’t spoken japans in four years or so…maybe I just needed a bit of practice…

The subway jerked to a hard stop and I was jerked into the nice guy sitting next to me. “Gomen.” I said as I pushed myself from him.

“It’s alright. No real harm was done.” He said.

“Ah…ano, might I ask what school you go to?” I asked him out of curiosity not because I thought he was cute…okay I lied! I asked him because of curiosity and I thought he was cute! Happy?

He seemed a bit taken back at my question. And I could feel a blush make it’s way onto my cheeks. “I go to Rikkai Dai High School.”

“I see…” and a long awkward silence followed after that. I mean what else was I suppose to say? ‘Oh nice school!’ or ‘I wish I could go to that school.’ I didn’t even knew where that school was!

“Why do you ask?” He said. I was quite surprised that the guy wanted to know why I asked him.

“Just wondering…I’m new to the area so…” obviously I lied. I’ve lived in Japan for thirteen years of my life until I moved to Korea.

“I see. Where did you move from?” Great, now the cute guy was curious where I moved from.

“Korea. It’s a long way huh?” I asked him with a smile. He just nodded his head.

“Next stop at Hyoutie High School and Habari avenue…” The intercom said.

“Guess that’s my stop.” I say as I gather my things. I slip on my bag and stand up.

“You go to Hyoutie?” The guy asks me. I give a nod and he just nods also. Okay…awkward.

“Ah! I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Anako Ami.” I stretch out my hand to him. He looks at my hand for bit and looks like he’s debating to shake it or not. The subway stops at my stop and I’m about to withdraw my hand when he clutches it and shakes it.

“Genichiro Sanada…” My eyes widen in surprise as I get forced off the subway by the incoming and out coming people and I stare at the subway as it quickly departs from the platform.

End of POV

Sanada watched the girl get smaller and smaller as the subway roll away. Why had he talked and shaken hands with a girl? He really had no clue why.

A nagging voice in the back of his head responded. ‘Maybe because Yukimura is finally able to be released and play tennis again.’ Sanada cursed in his head and smiled to himself. It was true, he had been very happy to hear that Yukimura’s mother had finally let him go and practice tennis at school with everyone. He just hoped that no one noticed his slight change in personality today.

Sweat dripped down his forehead and slipped down to his chin as he ran and hit the ball back over the net. He had been excessively playing tennis with Oshitari for an hour now. They were just doing drills but Oshitari had made them wear the double amount of weights on their wrist and arms. He swung again and Oshitari hit back. He was also as sweaty as himself.

“Atobe, it’s almost time for school to start. We should finish practice.” Oshitari said as he hit a lob. ‘Shit.’ he cursed inwardly. Atobe jumped up and slammed the ball on the opposite side of Oshitari and landed on the ground with a smirk.

“Ore-sama thinks so also.” Atobe snapped his fingers and (magically) everyone looked at him. “Practice is over. Don’t forget regulars, a two hour practice after school. Don’t be late. That’s all.”

Atobe walked through the courts with a towel around his neck as he watched the juniors put away the nets.

“Practice went well today, ne Kabaji?”

“Usu.” Kabaji said as he stood towering over Atobe. Taking a sip of water from his water bottle, Atobe walked slowly to the changing rooms. Suddenly he heard many screams and gave a sigh. Coming his way were his fan club. It consisted more than a thousand fan girls.

“ATOBE-SAMA!” They chanted as they ran over to him.

“hello ladies.” Atobe said as he mustered a smile. Many girls fainted on the spot and he tried not to roll his eyes in annoyance.

“Ne Atobe-sama! Today is the day were you get to choose which bento box you want to take and eat at lunch!” Senri Kini said with a squeal. She was currently the secretary for his “fan club” and everyday rounded girls up to give him homemade bento boxes.

“Ah…Ore-sama almost forgot girls…” And Atobe really did wish he forgot. Or better yet he wished THEY would forget for a change. The girls were horrible cooks. Usually Atobe didn’t even taste their bento boxes. Most of them were bought from stores anyway.

“Soooo….who’s do you want to take?” Senri said with a raised eye brow.

Atobe scanned the area and didn’t see Misa. Misa Chung was the president of the fan club and really dedicated her time for it. Atobe enjoyed her presence, she knew when to give him space and knew when to leave. Misa planned all the pep rallies and she was a very good cook.

He quickly grabbed a blue bento box from the crowd. A series of aw’s and no fair’s were filled through out the air. Toma Ying cheered happily as she watched Atobe take her bento box.

“thank you Atobe-sama for taking my food!” She giggled wildly and skipped away. Atobe suppressed a shudder as he turned around and walked to go change.

Why must they make such big schools? I, Anako Ami, am currently lost in Hyoutie High School. The worst part about it is that I can’t find a single person to ask directions from! I walk around the fifth floor and make my way down. I spot a EXIT sign and decided if I’m going to find a person, it’s best to walk outside.

The air is cool on my skin as I walk into the summer breeze. It feel extremely good. I inhale deeply as I try to find a person. I spot two guys. One is heck’a tall with sideburns. He looks kind of like a gorilla, you know, King Kong? The other guy has dark grey hair.

Thank Kami-sama that I found someone! I race over to the guy with dark grey hair.

“Ano, excuse me can you help me find this classroom?” I ask in Japanese. My speaking was getting a bit better.

“Ah…that classroom is…” This guy just suddenly stops talking and stares at me for a while. Wait a minute….I think I’ve seen him somewhere…but where? The guy suddenly starts talking.

“Are you the girl that works in a small café in Korea?” He asks me.

Ah ha! That’s were his face looked familiar!

“Oh! Are you the same guy that ordered the drink and I told the wrong directions to?” Oops…I shouldn’t have said the last part because I could see his small smirk disappear.

‘Shit, shit!’ I curse in my head.

“Ore-sama finally meets the person who gave him the wrong direction.” He says. His dark blue eyes are piercing and I seriously feel like running away.

“ahahah…yeah about that. Um..sorry?” I say cheekily. I mean, what else am I suppose to do? Beg?

He gives another little smirk. “But this time Ore-sama will let you go.”

“Seriously?” Man was this guy bi-polar or what! I wipe an invisible sweat drop off of my forehead and give a sigh.

“Now what class room were you trying to find?” This Ore-sama asks me.

“Oh, um the Chemistry lab room. I’m new to the school.” I explain in a sentence. Obviously I’m new, I have a thousand pieces of paper in my hand.

“The Chemistry Lab room is right over there.” He points to a building not far from where I am. I thank him and walk quickly. I pass by some guy with blue long hair and go to the front of the building.

Oshitari walked past a girl rushing from Atobe. ’What’s he doing with that girl? She looks new…' Oshitari watched the girl walk to the front of the building. He walked up to Atobe.

“Atobe, where are you sending that girl?” Oshitari asks.

Atobe gives a small smirk, “The Chemistry Lab room.”

Oshitari lifted up an eyebrow, “But Atobe, that’s the boys locker and shower room.”

“Ore-sama knows.” Atobe said amusingly.

Anako opened the door and looked inside. The front lobby desk was empty.

“I hope I can just go in.” Anako says to herself. She walked quickly to the gray metal door in front of her and yanked it opened. Her amber eyes widen in horror.

“WHAT THE HELL!?”

I hope you liked the second chapter! Read and Review!
