I just really like this pairing, and thus I’m writing something for it. I’m not sure how this will go though.

Messes

Uchiha Sasuke knew that his lover wasn’t all that intelligent about everyday things, and that sometimes he messed up. He knew this when the two of them moved in together, and he expected the messes that would come with them living in the same house. But he never really expected this to happen. “Naruto, how did this happen?” He demanded, looking around their little kitchen with a critical eye.

There was both soap suds and spaghetti sauce on the ceiling, the floor was covered in hot soapy water, there was spaghetti running down the walls, and every drawer and cabinet was open, the stuff inside them covered in a combo of spaghetti sauce and soap. The stove was covered in a black smoking substance, and the door to their dishwasher was halfway off its hinges. It looked a bit like a bizarre murder scene.

Uzumaki Naruto smiled sheepishly, looking around as well. He himself was covered in sauce and water, with spaghetti noodles hanging from various places on his body. “Well, I was making spaghetti, and I put the noodles to boil in the pot on the stove with the heat turned up high. I also started cooking the sauce in another pot, also on high, and I think I might have put too much soap in the dishwasher.” Naruto looked at Sasuke and pouted, his hands clasped behind his back and his big toe on one foot drawing a senseless pattern in the soap.

Sasuke rolled his eyes and sighed, going over to the closet and pulling out the cleaning supplies he kept for messes like this. He wasn’t sure that it would be enough, but it would get rid of most of it. “Naruto, could you go see if Sakura and Lee will help us?” He asked, not looking at the taller boy.

He heard Naruto whimper slightly before footsteps sloshed through the water and left through the back door, some of the water following him out. Sasuke frowned as he looked at the door, not liking the fact that Naruto was so upset. While all of this was his lover’s fault, he knew that Naruto was just trying to help him out by cleaning the dishes and making dinner.

However, right now there wasn’t anything he could do about it. He started mopping up the water on the floor, ringing out the mop head in the sink when it couldn’t take anymore. Soon, the floor was only slightly wet instead on covered in three inches of water. The drawers and cabinets were soon cleaned out and dried, and he had chipped some of the stuff off of the stove. He wasn’t sure that all of it would come off, but it was a start.

Sasuke looked away from the wall when the door opened and Naruto came back inside, clean and wearing some of the spare clothing he had at Sakura’s home. “They can’t come help, but Sakura let us borrow their vacuum cleaner.” He smiled, holding it up while scratching the hair on the back of his neck. The black hair boy smiled, putting down his sponge and taking the vacuum.

“Thank you Naru.” He said, kissing his cheek. “Could finish cleaning the wall?” He asked, plugging the vacuum in and picking up the long handled extension. He smiled when it reached the ceiling, and he looked at Naruto before turning it on. The two concentrate on cleaning, and soon everything but the stove was clean and dry. “There.”

Naruto looked around with a smile before hugging Sasuke against him. “I’m sorry Sasu, I didn’t mean to make such a mess.” He apologized into his hair, making Sasuke give a small smile.

“I know. And I appreciate the thought behind it. However, next time focus completely on one task at a time.” He said, hugging back. Hopefully there won’t be a mess next time.

But, he mused as Naruto started searching through their take-out menus, Naruto wouldn’t be his lover without his messes.

End of Messes

Well, this was a cheesy fluffy thing. I don’t like the ending, but whatever. Tell me if you like it.
