Preface
The hospital air was too clean. I couldn't breathe. The empty waiting room seemed to be mocking me. Pointing out just how alone I was in the world. I hated this waiting. I felt so useless, all I could do was sit and wait while doctors tried desperately to save the person I loved. It wasn't fair.
