She sat tiredly against the wall in the classroom who was oddly muted due to the teachers reading. It was February the 14th, the day which many people considered to be the day you can show love and appreciation for your lover or friend. Though of course teachers would have to ruin the perfect day to go on and read about how actually Valentine’s day came to be. Not the most exciting story ever, but rather blunt and true.
First of, her teacher said there were many opinions as to the origin of Valentine’s day. Like thinking that originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who rather chose to die than to give up Christinianity, his religion. He had died on February 14, 269 A.D, same day that have been devoted to love lotteries. It was also said the man had left a farewell note to the jailer’s daughter, signing it “From your Valentine”.
And as the teacher read more of the opinions, the rosette simply tried to ignore by doodling her name and her boyfriends name on her notebook. She pushed back the voices that argued back with the either ridiculous stories or believable.
Once the bell rung for their next and last class, her friends grouped together so they could walk to their class. Her blonde male friend, oddly known by Naruto. Kept rambling on about Valentine’s origins and how the first one was more rational than the one of the Emperor locking him up or that of a goddess. Thankfully for Sakura, none of them really cared of how it came to be as long as they celebrated it now.
Why?
Why ask about history if you weren’t there to live it? Why not just enjoy it now that the consequences are rather obvious.
“Ready to go?”
She looked up at her boyfriend with a small smile on her face. Speaking of just enjoying it, her boyfriend had yet to give her a present. He didn’t have to give her the most expensive thing he could summon, but he hadn’t even said a small ‘I love you’ to her yet.
It was true, she was upset, but not even her had she given him a thing since she couldn’t think of something worth for him.
They got to their next class before they knew it. Having most of the hour to chat amongst themselves since it was Valentine’s day and no one was actually paying attention to their sensei. Plus their sensei wasn’t the most interested in giving a lesson.
“Ca va, mon chaton?”(How are you my kitten?) her boyfriend muttered on her ear as he once more peeked on his book to figure what to say next.
“Ca va, et toi Sasuke-kun?”(Good, and you Sasuke-kun?) she giggled when he tried to figure how to say the next word. But not knowing how he settled for the easiest.
“Super” he smirked. Oh yes he had accomplished something today. He wondered how was it that when he really spoke his French the teacher didn’t give him his points. “C’est la fete de la Saint-Valentin”(It’s Valentines day)
“Hai”
“Uh uh, we’re in French class, ma chere” (my dear)
“Oh, oui” she giggled again when he wiggled his brows.
Sasuke patted on his pants pockets before successfully pull from his back pocket a red card that read ‘To Sakura’
“Voila!” (Here it is)
So he remembered “Sasuke-kun”
“For you” her blush grew darker on her face, completely putting her pink hair to shame. She didn’t even know her boyfriend could have this special details and know more French than herself. Normally she was the one hurrying him to speak or write in class. So what got to him today. “Je t’aime, mon petite fleur” (I love you my little flower)
“Sasuke-kun?” only one way to avoid getting more embarrassed. She looked away from him face and down at her card “are you feeling OK?”
He grunted in response “It’s Valentines day. French happens to be the language of love, so why not speak it for you with addition of endearments”
“It is unlike you”
And it certainly was. He was acting more like the character from the book she was reading in her previous class. The one that was condemned for death. He was like St. Valentine at this moment, which was absolutely off character for him.
“People change, mon ange” (my angel)
“For the day?”
“Porquoi pas?”(Why not?) and he grinned again. “No me diras algo en…Oops wrong language” (You will not tell me something in…*Spanish*)
Sakura chuckled at his little mistake, but she herself would be soon put to shame if she didn’t come up with something fast to tell him. He wanted to stick to the language of love, so she would have to play along with him. Maybe her gift will come out better than she thought at first it would.
“Sois a moi” (Be mine) Sakura whispered to him. Her own lips now closer to his own, only a breath away from his waiting ones.
“Toujours” (Always)
The ignored the yelling and laughing of people in the background as they shared their kiss in peace. It wasn’t always he got to be this corny, so she had to take advantage when he spoke the most. Naruto, not too far away from him could certainly learn a few tips from them since he stared intently before looking back at his girlfriend who sat quietly staring down at her Valentine card that Naruto had given her.
“Out of all the French you have spoke so far, which phrase is the one that has caught your attention”
“You never said it” she giggled when he frowned “you just did it”
She knew what to give him now, maybe after school but from his loving mood she might as well have a romantic evening for themselves. Of course such thing will be more than just kissing from his part, but she was willing to go with what ever he does.
“Ah” now knowing what she meant, he smirked at her before leaning closer to her once again. His dark eyes set upon her cherry lips before he whispered the phrase he had forgotten before they shared their first kiss. “Embrasse-moi mon amour” (Kiss me my love)

A/N: I was thinking of making this longer. But that would come with a lemon due to Sakura's gift. But for now. I declare this one shot over XD
