A Rose In Time Saves Nine

I am the man that Time forgot,
living in the last remnant of a home
that cast me out, and left me behind.

She is golden, pure and true,
seeing everything as exciting and new
as only someone much too young can be.

And yet, while one of my hearts
is permanently broken in grief;
the other has laid its claim on her.

Wonder of wonders, she rejoices in the claim,
And returns it.
