AN: So, here I am again... As I said in the other note, this chapter was originally with the first, but I chopped them up. I've been thinking about this chapter and have been a little bit stumped... I wanted to make Sakura appear as an innocent young woman who didn't know very much in the attraction, sexy area... I think I got that down a bit... But what I'm worried about is near the end of the chapter... I think that it kinda contradicts what I was opting for... -shrug- If you think that it doesn't that's fine by me, I'm just worried that it's going against what I have coming up for the story... Oh well... off from that subject... I present you with the much anticipated second chapter of 'Romance On The Corner'!! Enjoy!!

“It’s a boy! Congratulations, Sakura! You just earned yourself a male Labrador retriever puppy!” Sakura remarked to herself. “Now, what to name you…” She looked at the puppy and the puppy looked at her. They stared into each other’s eyes for what seemed like forever, but was only four minutes.

“That’s it! I’ll name you Tobi! How does that sound?” she asked the puppy. He gave a dog like smile and barked cutely. “Okay then! You are now called Tobi! Welcome to the family!”

She ran her hands through Tobi’s fur and commented that he had very soft and silky fur.

“Now we need to get all of your puppy stuff. We’ll go to Pet Smart and I’ll leave a note for Ino,” Sakura said. She carried Tobi into the kitchen and set him down.

“Okay… now a note for Ino….”

Dear Ino,

I got home and you weren’t there!! What the heck! I found something and now I need some things to take care of it with. I’m going to be out for 15-30 minutes. An hour at the most. Call me if ya need anything!

‘That should suffice for now. She can call if something happened,’ Sakura thought. She picked Tobi up, grabbed her keys, purse, and went out the door. Sakura locked the door and went to her car.

She got in, put Tobi in the back, and turned the heat and radio up.

“Ooh! Another song I like! Today, the radio’s playing all my favorites!” Sakura squealed. She sang along with the rest of the song.

By then, Sakura was in the parking lot of Pet Smart and she went inside with Tobi walking alongside her.

“Okay… now I need a bed, toys, food, treats, water and food dishes, brush nail clippers, and shampoo,” Sakura mumbled to herself as she walked down the aisles with Tobi riding in the cart.

She grabbed everything she needed and went up to pay. The cashier was yet another young man and he blushed when he saw her.

‘What is with everyone today?! They’re getting all red whenever I’m near!-GASP- Maybe I’m carrying a virus that makes people turn red! Oh no!! What am I going to do?!?!’ Sakura frantically thought. By then, she was by the cashier and he was red in the face. Now, I’m talking cherry red. She smiled at him and, if It’s even possible, he turned even more red.

“Hello,” Sakura greeted pleasantly.

“H-Hi. W-Wh-What c-can I-I-I d-do f-fo-for you-you?” he stuttered.

“Oh, I’m just checking out these items here,” Sakura said as she pointed out the items in the cart. Tobi noticed the young man and was watching him warily, ready to spring and protect Sakura.

“O-O-Okay…,” the cashier mumbled and began scanning everything. By the time he was done, the total was in the hundreds.

“Th-that’ll b-be $112.34. C-C-credit o-or c-cash?” he asked.

“Hm… credit,” she answered and swiped her card. She signed her name and got her receipt.

“Ha-have a-a ni-nice day!” the cashier called out as she left the store.

“You too!” she called back and walked towards her car.

Sakura drove home and went up the steps with Tobi following her. She opened the door and walked in, unprepared for the fright that would happen to her.

Ino was a patient woman. She had gone home to find an empty apartment when she had finished calling Sakura. She opened the door and walked inside. No Sakura in sight.

“GAH!!! I told her to come home! Why isn’t she here?!” Ino screamed into the apartment. She was wearing a pair of skinny jeans, lilac V-neck sweater, lilac scarf, and light brown Ugg boots.

She stomped towards the kitchen and raided the fridge. She came back out with a bright red apple. Taking a bit of the apple, she walked towards the counter after spotting two bags. She shifted through them.

“I can’t believe it! She went to Hot Topic! I told her not to go there without someone else!! There are creepy people there!” she screamed, her face slowly turning red from rage. She stopped ranting when she saw the with note left by Sakura.

Dear Ino,

“What did she find…?” Ino wondered. She walked to the living room and sat in one of the recliners. She turned on the TV and started watching the movie that was on, She’s the Man. It was her and Sakura’s favorite movie.

She heard a car pull up. Ino turned the TV off and swiveled the recliner so that it was facing the door. What she didn’t know, was that it was getting dark outside and she was sitting in a shadow. So if someone opened the door, they wouldn’t see her.

Ino turned towards the door when she heard it open that slam shut. She waited and she also heard a rhythmic ‘click-click-click-click’.

‘Hmmm…. I wonder what that is? Is it the thing Sakura was talking about?’ she wondered silently. ‘We’ll just have to wait and see.’

Ino saw Sakura walk into the room. She prepared to speak.

Sakura walked through the door of the apartment. She turned to Tobi, who was sitting by her side.

“Stay here, Tobi. I have to see if Ino is home yet… She might bust an artery if you came in without an explanation…,” Sakura said. Sakura walked slowly into the room. She didn’t see anything so she continued into the room and went to call Tobi into the room.

“Soo…,” Ino saw Sakura jump four feet into the air. Sakura looked at Ino nervously.

“Heh, heh, heh, heh….(nervous laugh that fades away) Hi Ino,” Sakura said nervously.

“Hello, Sakura. How was your day?” Ino asked, deceptively sweet.

“Oh! Uh… um…. It was, it was good,” Sakura answered, slightly scared.

“Really? Oh… that’s good,” Ino remarked.

“Wh-Why?” Sakura asked. She was afraid of the answer.

“Oh, I dunno… maybe because I SPECIFICALLY ASKED YOU TO COME HOME!!!!!” Ino literally screamed. Sakura flinched from the volume.

“But, but, but, but, but!” Sakura stuttered.

“NO BUTS!!!!” Ino interrupted her. “I told you to come home immediately!! Where were you?!?!”

“You weren’t home when I got here! I explained that in the note!” Sakura finally managed to get out.

“OH YEAH!!!” Sakura looked startled at the outburst. She was slightly scared of Ino’s sudden change in mood. “What were you talking about in the note?” she asked. Sakura got a scared look on her face and refused to look Ino in the eye.

“Oh… um… the thing is…” Sakura stalled. She had hoped for more time to explain her situation. She then decided to just come out with it. As simple as possible.

“I got a dog,” Sakura stated bluntly. Maybe that was a little too simple.

Ino was stumped for a second.

‘Did she just say she got a dog? …I think she did…’ Ino thought.

“Do you mean to tell me that you got a dog?” Ino asked incredulously.

“Yep! Do you wanna see him?” Sakura asked.

“…. Sure,” Ino answered slowly. Sakura squealed and ran to get Tobi, who was still in the front hallway. She came back into the room carrying him in her arms.

“Isn’t he cute?” Sakura asked Ino. She, Ino, stared at Tobi for a moment before speaking.

“Yea, he is!! He’s so sweet!” Ino complimented Tobi as he licked her hand when she reached out to pet him.

“His name is Tobi and I already got him all of his supplies,” Sakura stated proudly. She was happy that she was able to get it all without someone’s help.

“So, back to today. Who did you meet?” Ino pried.

Sakura really did not want to go back to this subject. But she knew that if she told Ino she didn’t want to talk about it, that’ll make her even more determined to pry.

So she described to Ino about how she met a young man in the street and went out for coffee, about how they talked about themselves and met up with his friend, how she met Tobi, about pretty much her whole day. She left out some parts like Naruto and Sasuke’s names and their numbers purposefully. She didn’t want Ino to track them down and threaten them.

“Oooh… so you had a pretty exciting day, huh?” Ino asked as Sakura finished her tale.

“Yea… It was a nice day and I made a new friend, too!” Sakura answered and hugged Tobi to her chest. Ino smiled and looked at the clock. She gasped.

“What?” Sakura asked when she heard Ino gasp.

“Oh my gosh! We have to get ready! The party’s in an hour!” Ino practically yelled as she sprang up from her seat.

“You’re right! Everybody’s there and I haven’t seen some of them in, like, forever!” Sakura agreed as she followed her example. They rushed around the apartment, trying to get ready in time. Tobi sat on the ground and looked confusedly at everything as he watched the two girls run around the apartment.

In 45 minutes flat, the two girls were ready and were standing in front of each other and evaluating the other’s clothing.

Sakura was wearing a black fishnet shirt with a dark crimson red tank top over it. She was wearing a jean skirt that ends at the tops of her knees despite the cold weather. To complete her look she had knee high boots with a small heel, several black bracelets on her wrists, and a black ribbon chocker with a bell hanging from it. She also had on black eyeliner and mascara with clear lip-gloss.

Ino was wearing a dark purple tube top and a jean skirt that ends two inches above her knees. She was wearing the same boots as Sakura but the heel was bigger. It was two inches tall. She had the same make up but was slightly darker so it’d make her blue eyes pop. She was also wearing black bangles and a black chain around her neck.

“Your outfit is so hot!” Ino gushed. “I love the chocker!”

“I love your chain! But wouldn’t you choke?” Sakura asked and picked Tobi up. She gave him a treat and cuddled him to her chest.

“No, it’s loose and has a thing in the back so I can loosen it even more,” Ino told her.

“Oh….” Sakura said. She glanced at the clock. “Oh my god!!! We’re gonna be late!”

They raced to Ino’s car, a silver Corvette, and they hopped in. Sakura put Tobi in the back. Ino drove the two to the club, New Moon.

When they went through the doors, the place was packed. There were people everywhere dancing, drinking, talking; basically anything you do at a club. The two walked towards the back where their friends were sitting. While walking to the back, they dodged lecherous looks all the way. Sakura looked slightly frightened and Ino glared at all the men that glanced at Sakura.

“Hey guys!” Ino called as they reached the table.

“Hi!” Sakura greeted as well.

Multiple greetings were called in response.

“Hello youthful blossom and youthful lily!” Lee called out. He was sitting next to Tenten, his girlfriend, at the far end of the table. I will not describe to you what he is wearing for I do not wish to scar you.

“’Sup, girls?” Tenten called out from beside Lee. She was wearing a light pink, almost white, shirt and dark brown shorts with light brown sandals. Her brown hair was in their usual buns which Ino calls them ‘her panda ears’. Tenten had put multiple senbon needles in her buns.

“It’s all good,” Sakura said as she sat on Hinata’s left. Hinata, a shy girl with lavender eyes and navy blue waist-length hair. She was wearing black capris with a white, tight tank top. She was wearing black boots and was sipping a margarita.

“H-hi…, S-Sakura-chan,” Hinata quietly greeted her.

“Hey!” Kiba said. He was wearing black jeans, white top, and gray jacket that Sakura knew was hiding Akamaru, Kiba’s puppy.

“Oh! Kiba I got a puppy! Can you take a look at him?” Sakura asked Kiba who nodded. Sakura pulled Tobi out of her bag. He was in there so she could watch over him. She gave Tobi to Kiba, who immediately started looking over the dog.

“Hmmmm….. Your dog’s pretty healthy, Sakura,” Kiba told her.

“Yes!!! That’s a surprise, considering where I found him…,” she remarked and cuddled the puppy.

“Where did you find him?” Hinata asked as she petted the dog.

“In an alleyway… I don’t know how he got there, though…. He’s so sweet though!” Sakura told her.

“Oh… Well!! Would you like anything to drink, Sakura?” Tenten asked her.

“Well…, what did Ino order?” Sakura asked her. A Cosmo was her answer.

“I’ll get the same,” she ordered. She looked around and saw a couple extra seats.

“Why do we have extra chairs?” Sakura asked Shikamaru.

“There’s going to be some more troublesome people, Sakura,” he told her softly.

“Who are they?” she wondered.

“I know some of them…” he was about to tell her their names when he was interrupted by a ‘BANG!!!’.

“…-sigh-… mendokuse… Here they are, Sakura. You’ll see in a moment,” he said.

“Oi!! Shikamaru! I didn’t know you were going to be here!” a joyful male voice called. Sakura’s eyes widened when she heard the voice.

‘That voice!! It can’t be!!’ she thought. She turned around slowly and was greeted of the sight of Naruto, Sasuke, and a few other people she didn’t know. Naruto saw her and his eyes widened.

“Naruto!?” Sakura asked bewildered.

“Sakura-chan?!” he asked in the same tone.

“What are you doing here?!?!” they asked at the same time.

AN: I didn't mention this at the beginning so I'm putting it here. The song from the beginning is called Teenagers by My Chemical Romance. Another thing I didn't mention was from the first chapter. The song there was White Horse by Taylor Swift. It said that, but I'm not sure if you read it so I'm making sure. Oh! And the particular song was the studio version, for those who want to know. So, that's enough of my rambling. Remember to review and keep on the look out for the next chapter!!
