Disclaimer: I don’t own Rocket Power, just some

Uojima's boss wasn't exactly happy that Uo had decided to take some time off without any pre-warning while still pretty new on the job. Plus, thanks to Uojima they'd been getting some regular costumers. It was like the costumers had invented a little game of challenge trying to trick Uo and get him to be wrong. Which of course, never worked. But Lars told the boss it was a family thing and Uo's boss reluctantly agreed to let Lars stand in for him. Much to the dismay of a couple of rowdy teenage costumers who had bet a friend that had never been there Uo would know their order.

After all that Lars was glad when the day was over, only to get rained on as soon as he stepped out the door.

"Terrific." he muttered under his breath sarcastically

and made a run for it.

The rocket gang was fast asleep in their tent feeling both exhausted and discouraged by their lack of progress. Wondering what exactly they'd been thinking. Had they expected to surprise Uojima and Kazuna? The two of them would be able to tell the rocket gang was coming from more than a mile away.

Something woke Reggie up, but she didn't know what. It was like she had this strange feeling that she should go outside. It made no sense no matter how she looked at it. Still, it was really bothering her, so she went outside. No one was there. Reggie mentally shrugged and went back to sleep.

Okay, so Lars, Pi, and Sputz were all stuck inside with nothing to do. How to entertain themselves? Naturally it didn't take long for them to start playing truth or dare. Lars even managed to coax Shiruki into joining them. She sat down and one of her wounded puppy looks that she sometimes got when put in a social situation where she was unsure of how to act flashed across her face. A look Lars was always appreciative of.

"I'll start." Lars told them "Shiruki, truth or dare."

"Truth."

"What's that?" Twister asked, pointing to something sticking out of Reggie's bag.

She took it off to see for herself. It was an umbrella that she'd felt certain hadn't been there before. Attatched to it was a note that told her when exactly to open it. She checked her watch and opened the umbrella above her head. Then it started pouring rain. So Uojima had come last night.

"If I hadn't hesitated, or maybe even looked a little harder, I might have seen him. He was right there and I missed it." Reggie couldn't help mentally berating herself a little

Meanwhile everyone was trying to get under her umbrella.

The fear in their eyes as they stared at the murderous gaze in hers. It was more than that, deep in her eyes was a look of someone who'd given up. She licked off the blood enjoying every terror filled moment. It was if her movements were automatic. She went from place to place not thinking, not feeling, just letting all the hatred and fear she'd bottle up come out and rule over her actions. All innocence gone. Each life she took stole it away, if it she'd ever had any innocence at all. They didn't think so. They had called her a psychotic monster and now they were going to find out first hand what that really meant. Finally it was done. All at once what she'd done hit her. She began to shake uncontrollably and stared at her blood stained hands and clothes. It replayed itself over and over in her mind. She had made her choice and there was no going back. No more crying, no more hiding, so she threw her head back and started laughing.

"Shiruki, what are you afraid of?" Lars repeated

"Ghosts." Shiruki muttered, willing the memory to stop for a moment

"But on Halloween-" Pi started to say

"Not that kind of ghost."
