"Shiruki, truth or dare?" Pi asked

she didn't think she could could get away with answering truth questions cryptically anymore.

"Dare."

"Alright, I dare you to..." Pi let his voice trail off as he thought "go without your pills for a full month."

"Two weeks." Shiruki said, reluctantly

"One month." Pi repeated

"Don't push it."

Pi nervously agreed to Shiruki's terms. Now it was Sputz's turn. He picked Pi and Pi picked truth.

"Have you ever watched one of those kissy-goo romantic chick flick movies?" would be the translated version of what Sputz said

Pi's face turned tomato red

"Yes." he admitted and the expected wave of laughter commenced.

he knew they weren't going to let him live this down.

"Um, it's your turn Shiruki." Pi tried to quickly get the attention off of himself

"Lars, truth or dare."

"If I pick truth she'll make me tell my most embarrassing moment." Lars thought, "and I don't want Shiruki thinking I'm a scared little baby so..."

"Dare."

"I dare you to tell me your most embarrassing secret."

At that Lars became horrified

"You can't use that for a dare!"

"Why not?"

"Because you can only make people tell you stuff like that if they pick truth." Lars explained

besides, Lars didn't want to admit his crush on her. Especially in front of his friends

"Then I dare you to be my personal slave for 3 weeks."

"This slave thing wouldn't involve chains and a whip, would it?" Lars asked, nervously

"Idiot."

That was a no. Lars felt both relief and a slight sting at her indirect rejection of him.

"Now get me some water, slave!" Shiruki commanded Lars

He gave her a dirty look. She was enjoying this far too much, which he pointed out.

"Hey, I need to keep myself entertained to distract from my loss of pills." Shiruki told him

"You have a problem." Lars said

"So?" Shiruki wasn't bothering to deny it "Do you know when your parents are coming home?" It seemed like a weird question for her to ask

"No, why?"

Shiruki shrugged

"If you must know, I've decided to accept their offer of adoption."

at that one sentence Lars could feel his world falling down around him. All he could think was,

"No, no, no, NO!" the Last one Lars screamed out loud and he continued yelling at Shiruki "You can't! I don't want you as a sister, or any relation!"

"It isn't up to you." Shiruki's cold voice entered her words, making things more difficult for Lars

"I should have a say in this, too." he growled

"Why?"

At this question Lars immediately paled and Shiruki leaned forward a little.

"Why should you have a say?" she repeated

"Because, I uh..." Lars blushed and stuttered as he tried to think of some excuse

but his reaction gave Shiruki her answer and in response she just whispered a small,

"Oh."

and Lars knew he'd been caught. Shiruki got up to go back into the house. Lars was about to ask Shiruki to turn back around when he realized how stupid that would be. He hadn't even had the courage to tell her he liked her up front. What was Lars expecting to say next? If given the chance what would Shiruki say? Lars had some ideas and none of them were good.

"What I wouldn't give to have Uo's cellphone number." Lars grumbled to himself
