“This vacation just got better,” Ron remarked as he got out of the plane. Standing in front of them was a blonde haired woman with very revealing clothes.

“This isn’t a vacation, Ronald,” Hermione said crossly, eyeing the woman with great dislike.

“Scott darling,” Emma purred, giving Scott a kiss “You're home.”

“Hello, Emma,” Scott greeted her and then turned to Severus “This is Severus.” Emma smiled and offered her hand to Severus; Sirius swiftly grabbed her hand and kissed it.

“My name is Sirius Black and it is a pleasure to meet you,” Sirius said, grinning broadly. Remus sighed loudly and shook his head.

“Sirius, please don’t embarrass us,” he pleaded. Sirius glared at him while Tonks giggled.

“Why don’t we get all of your luggage inside and Emma will show you around,” Scott offered.

“I’ll follow her anywhere,” George muttered in Fred’s ear. Ginny snorted disgustedly, overhearing her brother’s comment.

“Great,” Hermione whispered in her ear, glaring daggers at Ron’s love struck face “Another Fleur.” Ginny giggled. Emma turned her head and smiled at the two girls. Hermione briefly wondered if Emma had heard. After depositing their bags by the front door, Emma led the students (the adults had gone with Scott and Logan) to what she called the Danger Room.

“Now this room allows mutants practice their abilities or in your case your magic,” Emma told them. Hermione furrowed her brow in confusion.

But there is nothing here,” she said to herself.

“You are quite observant, Miss Granger,” Emma said with a smirk. Hermione was taken aback. How had Emma known what she was thinking?

“Begin simulation,” Emma commanded. To Hermione’s surprise the room began changing until it showed what looked like a normal city street. Suddenly they heard a rumbling.

“Hermione, duck!” Ron shouted. Hermione ducked just as a car went flying over her head. Hermione turned around to see a hovering man wearing a red cap and helmet.

“That, children, is Magneto,” Emma answered the question on everyone’s mind “You goal is to get the helmet off of Magneto’s head. Good luck.”
“That should be easy,” Ginny muttered, holding up her wand “Accio helmet!” Magneto held up a car door and the spell bounced off of it.

“Or not,” Harry said “But then again when is it ever easy?”

Scott knocked on the Professor’s door.

“Come in,” Charles called “I was just reading.” Sirius raised an eyebrow. There were no books near the Professor.

“But there isn’t any books,” he pointed out.

“Ah, I prefer to read the minds of my favorite authors,” Charles explained “You would be amazed by how many good stories are never published.”

“So you can read minds,” Sirius repeated. Severus rolled his eyes.

“Yes, I believe he just said that, Black,” he snapped. Sirius glared at him.

“Shut it Snape,” he glowered.

“That’s quite enough,” Charles cut in sharply “Severus as a former student I expected better out of you.”
“My apologizes, Charles,” Severus said sincerely.

“Why don’t we get to the point,” Logan suggested gruffly “We need a plan to defeat Voldemort and Bucket-Head.”
“I suppose your plan is going to be running up to Voldemort and sticking your claws into him,” Severus sneered.
“Do you have a better one?” Logan growled.

“No but I do have some acquaintances who will be most resourceful,” Severus told him.

“Like who? Mystique?” Logan asked, his eyebrows raised. Severus gritted his teeth.

“Not exactly,” he said annoyed and then he clenched his eyes shut with pain and clutched his left arm.

“Severus, what’s wrong?” Charles asked.

“He is callingme,” Severus whispered.

Lucius remembered the day he got the Dark Mark. How proud his parents were. And how happy he was. Now his son was getting the Dark Mark. This should be a very happy and proud moment for all of them. But instead he felt nothing but fear and anguish. By the hand squeezing his own he knew that Narcissa felt the same way. He watched as Voldemort raised his wand and pointed it at Draco’s wrist. Draco howled in pain. Narcissa squeezed harder. Lucius felt a stab of anger as he watched Voldemort’s sickly smile grow larger at Draco’s pain.

“You may sit down,” Voldemort said, letting go Draco’s arm.

“Yes my lord,” Draco said shakily and he walked over to his parents.

“I have some news for you,” Voldemort spoke softly, Lucius had to strain his ears to hear him “The reason I have asked all of you to come to America is because I have been speaking to a muggle.”
“A muggle,” Bellatrix screeched, outraged “What business does a muggle have to speak with you.”

“Silence,” Voldemort shouted “This muggle is no ordinary muggle. He can control metal. He is from a special race called mutants.” Lucius’ head shot up. Mutants. Where had he heard that word before?

“My apologizes for being late my lord.” Lucius turned his head to see Severus walking through the crowd of Death Eaters. Then Lucius remembered, he had over heard Severus talking about mutants with the Mudblood Potter.

“Severus, I hear that Dumbledore has sent you, along with the blood traitors and mudbloods, to the states,” Voldemort said coldly.

“Yes he has, my lord,” Severus answered.

“Do you know why he would send inexperienced children to fight against me?” Voldemort asked.

“Yes my lord. He believes that Harry Potter is the key against you. He has not told me why,” Severus responded. Voldemort started laughing, sending a chill down Lucius’ side.

Hermione walked out of the danger room, panting. Scott walked up to them.

“How did it go?” he asked Emma.

“They all died,” Emma answered.

“The guy controlled metal. Excuse us if we were unprepared,” Ginny snapped.
“Well hopefully tomorrow, you will be prepared,” Scott said “But don’t worry tomorrow you will have help.”

“Now why don’t you all go to bed, you look exhausted,” Emma suggested. The teenagers did not argue, they just allowed Emma to lead them to their room and dragged themselves into bed.

Mystique carefully walked down the streets, looking behind her every few minutes. He was here. Looking for her, no doubt. She had to remain disguised until he left. Mystique ducked into an alley, feeling quite safe, she dropped her disguise and sighed with relief.

“Hello Raven.” Mystique had to use all her willpower not to look surprised.

“Hello Severus,” she said mildly. Severus stepped out of the shadows.

“I have a few questions that you will answer,” he told her coldly.

“And why would I do that?” Mystique asked. Severus took out his wand and pointed it at her.

“I have no words of my hatred for you,” he growled “Just give me a reason and I will use crucio.” Mystique laughed and turned into Lily.

“Why would you do that, Sev,” she asked. Severus glared at her.

“I will not fall for that,” he snapped and raised his wand “Crucio!”

“Please Sev, stop,” Mystique cried, still in Lily’s form. Severus snarled and used the curse again.

“NO!” Suddenly someone crashed into Severus. Mystique grinned and took her leave. Severus looked down at the boy who had hurled himself at him. It was Harry.

“Potter, what are you doing!” he shouted, picking himself off of the ground.

“I thought….” Harry began, looking around widely for the woman he thought was his mother “I saw her. And you were torturing her.” Harry looked bewildered.

“What you saw was a shapshifter who could have been very useful to us,” Severus snapped.

“I’m sorry sir, I thought she was my Mum,” Harry said softly “But why would she change into my mother for you?”
