Chapter 1: Mornings Like This
Summary: Cloud despises mornings like this, but perhaps one brunette can change that.

Cloud wearily rubbed his eyes as he rolled over in bed, groaning. The window was flung wide open, allowing bright rays of sunlight to dance on his face. He hadn’t had much sleep last night, after a long day of deliveries to Corel and even Rocket Town, and now the sun was streaming radiantly into his bedroom, waking him when he didn’t want to wake.

He hated morning like this.

After a moment, he eventually sat up in bed. Marlene and Denzel came bustling into his bedroom, schoolbags in hand.

“We’re going to school now Cloud.” Marlene remarked.

“We’ll see you when we get back!” Denzel exclaimed, and they both beamed at him before bouncing downstairs. School started at 8:45, and they usually left at about 8:30. Cloud should’ve been gone by now; he should’ve been on the road by now. But knowing Tifa, she probably let him sleep in on purpose. He slumped back into bed, knowing how much time he’d lost for deliveries.

He hated mornings like this.

Cloud trudged groggily into the bar, and Tifa cocked her head to one side as she watched him stumble into the garage. He rolled the garage door open and cringed when he saw how icy the roads were. He’d have to drive slower so he wouldn’t veer off the roads and have an accident. And it began to rain too.

“Great…” He muttered.

He hated mornings like this.

“Cloud, you have a lot of deliveries today.” Tifa wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her cheek against his back.

“Where?”

“Um... Junon, Kalm, North Corel and Midgar.” She replied. Cloud sighed.

He hated mornings like this.

“Can you try and get home as early as possible though?” She asked.

“Why?” He gently loosened her hold around him and turned to face her. Tifa had the faintest trace of a smile on her lips. Leave it up to Cloud to answer a question with another question.

“I might have a surprise for you when you get back.” She teased.

“Tifa…” He wasn’t in the mood for surprises.

“Fine, I’m making cookies. Oh, and we’re having your favourite for dinner.” She kissed him on the cheek and left the garage. Cloud climbed onto Fenrir, content.

He loved mornings like this.

I hope you liked it!
It's my first Cloti drabble-like fic! ^_____^ I'm hoping to reach 100 drabble-like stories, so if you have any requests then just ask! But not anything too extreme, please. =]
But please review! I know it's a bit fluffy, but I'd love feedback (constructive criticism is very welcome, no flaming please).
Thankyou very much! =D
