My Heart Will Go On

It was nine at night and Chase was sitting in his Piano Room, a few rooms down from his. He sat there looking at a sheet of music that he had never played before. But that didn’t matter. Chase was so good, he could pick up a sheet of music and play it like he had been doing so for months. It was titled My Heart Will Go On. He had heard of the song from the movie Titanic, but had never played it. He opened up the cover over the piano keys and began to play.

Wuya, just a few doors down, put down her book, the Titanic and sat still. Is that Chase playing? she thought. Wuya closed her eyes and listened intently. She smiled. Getting up from her bed, she walked to the door and opened it, the beautiful music louder now. Wuya headed down the hallway and pressed her ear to the door which Chase was behind.

She looked through the key hole, trying to see if it was safe to enter. Chase was half hidden behind the piano. His eyes were gently shut as he gracefully played the song.
Wuya slowly opened the door and slipped through. She quietly walked up behind Chase and watched him play. You’d think by his unresponsiveness he hadn’t noticed her. He did. The witch couldn’t help but hum along. When she began to hum, Chase opened his eyes and turned to her, still playing.

“You know the song?” he inquired.

“Yes. It’s one of my favorites,” she replied.

”But do you know the song? Can you sing it?”

“Sing?? Me?!” Wuya piped nervously.

“Of course. I hear you all the time when I pass you room - in the shower, “ the Heylin Master said, making an attempt to encourage her. Wuya flushed a dark red and looked away. He stopped playing and turned to the beginning of the song, starting to play. “Go on,” Chase said smiling.

Wuya sighed nervously and held her stomach tightly. She began to sing :

“Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you,That is how I know you go on,”she paused for the song.

“Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on,”

“Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on,”

“Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till were gone,”

“Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life well always go on,” Chase quickly pulled her closer to him and she wrapped her arms around his neck gently. He smiled at her.

“Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you’re here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on,”

Wuya began to sing with more emotion:

“You’re here, there’s nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
Well stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on,”

Wuya kissed Chase on the cheek and sat down on the bench next to him. He put his arm around her waist.

“I knew you could sing,” Chase said smiling.

“I never denied it,” Wuya giggled.

“You were mentally. Am I not right?”

“Shut up. . .” Wuya said annoyed, shoving him away.
“Riiiiight?” Chase laughed, bringing Wuya closer to him.

“I guess. . .” she replied, lost in thought. He gently held her jaw and began to kiss her. Wuya laughed and leaned into it, cherishing her Lover, having no fear now that she was with him.
