A/N: -gasp- Yeah, it’s been awhile. But, I have been working on stuff since then. Such as having the rest of Warning and half of the second Voice of the Stars book.
Has anyone finished Sunrise? I have, and thought it was actually pretty good. I’m going to write my version of Omen of the Stars, minus beavers, but with a different enemy. Muahahaha!
Well, I would like to say that I want to get Voice of the Stars over with so I can start Crash of Thunder, which is going to be amazing. (I already have the allegiances!!)
Also, I need ideas for Millie. In this or the next book, she is going to take a warrior name. Any suggestions? I’ll give you credit for the name if I choose it!
Well, I should start the next chapter, shouldn’t I? Alright, here you go!

“What?” Ravenflight hissed. Sagebranch fluffed his back fur in shock and anger. The gray tom that had called Beetlepaw’s name earlier stepped forward.
“You can’t do this, Mistystar!” he yowled.
“Pebblestep, it is not your decision. It is mine and Leafstar’s,” Mistystar growled.
“He’s my apprentice!” Pebblestep protested. Ravenflight could tell that Pebblestep was one of the newer warriors, and that Beetlepaw had been his first apprentice.
“Beetlepaw will have to live in SkyClan until the Gathering for what he has done,” Ravenflight answered.
“I haven’t killed anyone!” Beetlepaw yelled. RiverClan turned to their leader, who padded over to Leafstar.
“May StarClan guide you,” she whispered, her voice pained. “May they help you find the truth.”
“May they help us all find the truth,” Leafstar responded.
“I must ask you to leave our territory now,” Mistystar said, her voice louder. Three apprentices padded forward to Beetlepaw. The only tom had a gray pelt with green eyes.
“I know you didn’t kill her, brother,” he said, dipping his head. Beetlepaw nodded slightly.
“Thank you Grasspaw,” he said softly. The two shecat came next, one was white, and the other had a brown tabby pelt.
“Goodbye, brother,” the whispered. Beetlepaw dipped his head to them.
“Goodbye Petalpaw,” he said to the white shecat. “And you, Pricklepaw,” he said to the brown tabby. Ravenflight and Sagebranch got on either side of Beetlepaw, Leafstar at the back, and walked out of the RiverClan camp. Beetlepaw didn’t resist when the reached the border and Ravenflight picked him up by the scruff to get over the fence. The patrol spread out more, Beetlepaw still in Ravenflight’s mouth, as they neared the camp and cleared the final fences. The patrol entered the camp, and many voices cried out in confusion.
“Why is the RiverClan apprentice here again?” Birdpaw asked.
“Are there more RiverClan cats?” Tinyfire queried nervously.
“Mistystar sentenced him to spend until the Gathering with us. Then he can leave,” Ravenflight growled, padded over to Stormblaze after dropping Beetlepaw roughly on the ground. Stormblaze licked Ravenflight’s shoulder gently, attempting to calm him down.
“This is a terrible idea,” Ravenflight growled under his breath to Stormblaze.
“Calm down, Ravenflight,” she whispered. Ravenflight took a deep breath and sighed. Thrushpaw padded closer towards the black RiverClan apprentice. Beetlepaw shrank back a bit.
“I’m not gonna hurt you,” she promised, and the Clan returned warily to their duties. Ravenflight watched as the two apprentices began chatting as if Beetlepaw wasn’t a murderer loose in the Clan.
“Ravenflight!” Leafstar called. The tom turned to face his leader.
“Can you take a hunting patrol out?” Leafstar asked. Ravenflight nodded.
“Of course. Any cat in particular you want me to take?” he asked.
“Mintleaf, Bouncestep, Cherrytail, and… Beetlepaw,” Leafstar finished hesitantly. Stormblaze glanced nervously at her leader, and then at Ravenflight.
“What?” Ravenflight hissed.
“You heard me. Please don’t argue,” Leafstar said.
“Alright,” Ravenflight growled, turning to see Mintleaf with Thunderspirit.
“Mintleaf!” Ravenflight called, and the gray tabby shecat turn towards him.
“Yeah?” she asked.
“Hunting patrol, can you get Bouncestep and Cherrytail and meet me out of camp?” Mintleaf nodded and padded away to find the others. Ravenflight padded over to the RiverClan apprentice.
“Hunting patrol. You’re coming,” Ravenflight ordered, and Beetlepaw nodded silently, and followed Ravenflight out of the camp. The two waited patiently until the other three SkyClan cats come out of camp. The patrol padded away from camp, and the four SkyClan cats cleared the first fence with ease, but Beetlepaw took a bit of struggling before he finally clambered over it. The patrol continued silently until Cherrytail dropped into a hunter crouch and stalked a mouse. The rest of the patrol spread out, Ravenflight leaping as a chaffinch flew over his head. He quickly brought it down and killed it just as Cherrytail ended the life of the mouse.
Beetlepaw began stalking a mouse, and Bouncestep leaped into the sky, failing to bring down a second chaffinch.
“Bad luck,” Ravenflight said to the warrior. Beetlepaw stalked the mouse, but it bolted away at the last second, only to be caught by Cherrytail. No comforting words left the SkyClan cats’ mouths. Mintleaf caught a couple more mice, and Ravenflight succeeded in catching a crow.
“Nice catch!” Mintleaf said. Ravenflight dipped his head in appreciation. Bouncestep quickly caught a mouse, and the SkyClan cats each picked up their respective catch and Beetlepaw followed, his tail dragging across the ground.
“Hurry!” Ravenflight said through a mouthful of prey, looking at the sky. Clouds were forming, and they looked like storm clouds. The patrol cleared the fences, and raced back to camp, Beetlepaw’s expression still depressed.
“Ah, great catch!” Stormblaze congratulated as the patrol placed the prey on the ever-growing fresh-kill pile. Beetlepaw padded over to a corner of the barn, where no cat would be, and sat down, feeling alone.
“Thanks,” Ravenflight purred, rubbing against Stormblaze. Thrushpaw padded up to Ravenflight, about to speak, but then closed her mouth and padded over to Beetlepaw, licking his ear comfortingly. Ravenflight turned away, not wanting to realize the fact that Thrushpaw didn’t believe the RiverClan apprentice was a murderer.
Lightning sliced through the sky, and thunder crashed around the SkyClan cats.
