This is just my opinion of what should have happend at the end of "We've Got Spirit". Nick and Lindsay really should have ended up together. I might write other Freaks and Geeks stories in which they will be together, so I guess if I do this would be the basis for those. Im getting ahead of myself. lol.

Blah blah blah I own nothing. If I did Nick would be mine and I would force him to play "Boo doom chi" when ever I say something funny ;)

Review please. :)

Lindsay ran through the empty halls franticly searching for Nick. Jesus Christ! Why did her mother have to meddle into this? Just when she had decided not to break up with Nick? She had to explain everything to him; tell him that she wanted to be with him. That she loved being with him; even if he was a little bit of an over the top boyfriend.

When she did find him he looked like he had been crying, his eyes were a little puffy and red.

“I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” She said. He looked at her sadly.

“Listen Linds,” she cut him off before he could finish.

“Nick I’m so sorry. My mom is a moron.” She said.

“Were you really going to break up with me? She said you talked to her about it.” Nick said, looking at her solemnly.

“No! Well… I was thinking about it last night…” She looked down at the floor as she spoke.

“Why?” he asked.

“Because I was scared…” she met his eyes.

“Of what Lindsay? I told you we wouldn’t rush anything.” He asked somewhat bitterly, turning away.

“I was scared because well you’re my first real boyfriend, and you were acting kind of intense. I mean, showing up at my house in the middle of the night was kind of creepy. And I heard the stories about when you dated Heidi and I got freaked out. I just didn’t know how to handle it so I thought I should break up with you. But then you told me it wasn’t true. God I’m so stupid.” Tears had already started falling from Lindsay’s eyes. “I’m sorry! Please, I don’t want to break up. I really like you.”

Relief washed over Nick’s face as he walked over to her. He wiped the tears from her cheeks with his thumbs as he lowered his head. He cupped her face in his hands and gently kissed her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and quickly deepened the kiss. Their tongues intertwined feverishly as if neither of them could get enough of the other’s taste. When they finally came up for air they were both smiling widely.

“Linds, if you have a problem can we just talk about it from now on?” He asked, still grinning. “I’ll try to tone it down from now on.”

“Absolutely.” She breathed a sigh of happiness as she held him close. “Um on that note, could you do me a favor?”

“What?” he stroked a hand through her hair soothingly.

“Uh… if it’s just you and me could you not get super stoned?” she asked.

“I’ll try, but you might have to remind me.” He said.

“Thanks.” She gave him another quick kiss and broke apart from him. “Let’s get back to the game.” They intertwined their fingers and they walked back to the gym.

They sat next to Lindsay’s mother on the bleachers, and she grinned at the young couple.

“Look Harold! They patched things up!” she said excitedly, jabbing her husband in the ribs.

“Perfect...” He muttered sarcastically. Jean waved him off and turned to her daughter, grinning. “I’m glad things worked out, honey. I’m sorry.”

“It’s alright mom.” Lindsay said. “Can I hang out with my friends after the game?”

“That sounds alright to me. Harold what do you think?” Harold glared at the young man whose arm was around his daughter.

“I went to high school with a boy who didn’t get his girlfriend home on time, and you know what happened to him? He DIED! Do you catch my drift, Nick?” Harold never let his glare down.

Nick gulped and nodded. “Wh-what time should I have her home, Mr. Weir?”

“No later than 1 o’clock. Got it?”

“Yes sir.” Nick squeaked out of fear, making Lindsay laugh a little. She heard her name being called and glanced up to where Kim, Daniel, and Ken were giving her the thumbs up. She smiled up at her friends and settled closer to Nick, resting her head on his shoulder. He kissed the top of her head and tightened his arm around her waist.
