Yeah I know, "not another new story". But this is just a short story as a little present to my best friend CaptainKai01896.

As she has helped me loads on my stories with ideas for battles and stuff in general. Plus she has used Tari in two of her stories.

So in return this story features her Beyblade OC Marina Kingston.

Chapter 1: A New Girl

School, a boring time for everyone including Tari Hiwatari who was sat in the middle of a Maths lesson bored out of her skull. She had given up on the equations she was supposed to be doing a long time ago, and was now doodling on her notebook.

She didn’t look up when the classroom door opened, as she wasn’t interested. “Class, can I have your attention please” the teacher said. Tari lazily looked up hoping this would be something interesting.

At the front of the class standing next to the teacher was a young girl, with long blonde hair which framed her face and flowed down her back. Her dark green eyes stared out at the class; she was dressed in the same black and red uniform as the rest of the class.

“This is Marina Kingston, a new student. I want you all to be nice to her” the teacher continued, some of the students nodded their heads but most weren’t listening. The teacher sighed and said something to Marina.

Tari had gone back to her doodles, but she was aware that someone had sat next to her. She stopped her drawing, and looked up to see the new girl sitting next to her.

“Hello, I’m Marina Kingston” the Japanese teen said as she extended her hand out to the dual brunette. Her tone was quite quiet, which Tari was used to as she knew that most people were afraid of her, due to her reputation and if not hers her brother’s.

“Tari Hiwatari. Nice to meet you” the Russian teen said as she took hold of the other teens’ hand and shook it. Marina smiled at Tari, and she couldn’t help but give a small smile back.

“I have to admit, I was kind of nervous, as this is only my second day in town” Marina said as she grabbed her notebook and pens from her bag and began to do the work they had been set.

“So, where did you move from?” Tari asked. She had now given up on her doodles and had moved on to staring at the clock and talking to the new girl, who seemed pretty nice.

Marina put her pencil down and looked up at the older teen. “Japan. I moved here at the weekend. So I don’t know many people or places” she said.

Tari smiled. “Well, allow me to show you around. You can hang with me at lunch and break as well if you’d like” the older teen said as she glanced round at the clock one last time.

“I’d like that a lot. Thank you Tari” Marina said. Tari glanced back round and smiled at the blonde haired teen. Both girls then turned back to their work. Tari thought she might as well give the equations a go, it would be better than being told off.

Once the bell had rang for the end of the lesson, Tari dumped her notebooks and stuff in her bag which she slung over her shoulder. Marina put her stuff away neatly and placed her bag over her shoulder and then looked up and followed the dual brunette out of the classroom.

As they walked through the corridors Tari showed Marina the various classrooms and told her a few things about the teachers. Marina nodded at most of the things that were said, but she couldn’t help but laugh at some of the things Tari said.

The girls then left the building and headed out onto the field at the front of the school building. Most of the school seemed to be on the field, and Tari was heading right to the end of the field where there were a group of boys leaning against the wall or sat on the floor.

Marina studied them carefully as they were all different, one was short with indigo hair, another had sandy brown hair and was really tall. They were the ones sat on the floor. Then leaning against the wall were three boys who were round about the same height.

The first one had short grey hair, the second had dual blue and grey hair and Marina couldn’t help but think that there were similarities between him and Tari. And finally there was a flame red haired teen who Marina kept her gaze on the most and he stared back with a smile on his face.

“Hey Tar, who’s your friend?” the grey haired teen asked as the girls joined them. All of the boys looked up at the new arrivals, this made Marina blush and coward away a bit as she was embarrassed to be the centre of attention. She was surprised at Tari as she didn’t seem fussed.

Tari noticed Marina’s actions and gave her a reassuring smile. “This is Marina Kingston she just moved here from Japan” she said. The boys nodded and some of them said “hi” and one of them waved until he stopped after being glared at by one of the others.

The dual brunette then turned to Marina. “Marina, this is Ian Papov” she said as she gestured to the short indigo haired teen. Marina nodded and smiled at him. “Spencer Petrov” Tari continued as she gestured to the tallest teen. Again Marina smiled and nodded, Spencer nodded back.

“Bryan Kunznetsov” Tari said as she gestured to the short grey haired teen. Marina smiled at him and he smiled back and raised his eyebrows. “My older brother Kai Hiwatari” Tari continued as she gestured to the boy who Marina thought looked a bit like Tari. As she studied him more she noticed that his and Tari’s eyes were the same.

“And this is...” Tari said as she gestured to the last boy, but he cut in. “Hi I’m Tala Valkov” he said as he walked forward and took hold of Marina’s hand and smiled at her. Marina smiled back and a small blush crept onto her cheeks.

Tari raised an eyebrow at the red heads’ actions but she tried not to show how she felt. After all Marina was a new girl, Tala was probably just being nice; she had nothing to worry about. “Hey Tar, have you finished the science homework?” someone asked bringing her out of her thoughts.

“Yeah Bryan, hold on” Tari sighed as she reached into her bag for her science book, she then walked over to the grey haired teen who was stood next to her brother. “You know Bryan if you want to pass through school, you’re going to have to start doing your own homework” she said as the older teen began to copy her answers.

Kai smirked at his sister as Bryan growled and muttered something. Tari didn’t hear his mutter though as she was staring at Marina and Tala who were talking and laughing. Tari felt like going over there and saying something, but as she was about to the bell for the end of break went.

“Come on Tar, we have History” Kai said as he nudged against his sister, who put her science book back in her bag and followed her brother. She looked back over her shoulder and saw that Marina and Tala were still talking as they walked over the field. Tari couldn’t help but growl lightly under her breath.

A few days passed since Marina’s arrival, and she fit right into the others lives. It was like she had been there always. Ian liked to tease her, Spencer found her kind and caring, Kai thought she was ok, which was a good thing from Kai, Bryan liked her a lot, but he had missed his chance. As Tala had spent a lot of time with her over the last few days.

In fact the only person who had a problem with Marina was Tari. Admittedly she didn’t hate her, she thought she was a very nice girl and she had got on well with her. But the thing that ticked her off was that she had muscled in on her man. Well Tala wasn’t hers, but she had feelings for him.

The guys were sat on the field for their lunch break on Friday. They were talking about their plans for the weekend. As their father was away Kai and Tari were throwing a small party. Bryan has brought up the subject of this and the boys were talking excitedly about it. Tari was only half listening and nodding occasionally.

“Hey Marina” Kai started. The blonde haired teen looked up from her flirting with Tala, and stared at the dual bluenette. “We’ve known you for a week and you’ve fitted in well with the group. Well me and Tari were wondering if you would like to come to our party tomorrow night” he said.

Marina smiled “thank you Kai, thank you Tari. That would be nice” she said and then turned her attention back to Tala who’s smile increased loads upon hearing that Marina would be at the party too.

Tari glared at her brother, as she hadn’t said anything about Marina coming. She thought she would deal with him when they got home after school.

The bell then rang and the gang went their separate ways for their last lesson. Tari didn’t pay attention as she had a lot on her mind, luckily they were only watching an educational film, so the fact that she didn’t pay attention didn’t really matter.

Once they were home Kai asked Tari what was wrong as he had noticed his sisters’ odd behaviour after lunch. “It’s nothing Kai. I’m just thinking about all of the homework I’ve got to do” Tari said as she dumped her bag on the floor. Kai crossed his arms as he didn’t believe his sister at all.

“Tell me the truth Tar” he said in a demanding way. Tari sighed as she knew he would never give up until she told him. “Fine. I don’t know why you invited Marina. I mean she’s hardly been here a week and you guys act like she’s been here forever!” Tari shouted as she stormed off up to her room.

Leaving Kai standing there slightly confused.
