A Blackened Heart turn Gold
Summary: During a field trip at Sleepy Hollow, Abby accidentally summons the Hessian. But when she goes home, he follows her. HessianxOC
Me: Note, this takes place in 2007. Another thing, when the Hessian follows Abby home, the dead tree catches on fire and dies.
Just my thought.
Chapter 1: Angels
Sparkling angel I believe
You were my savior in my time of need
Blinded by faith I couldn’t see
All the whispers, the warnings so clear
I see the angels; I’ll lead them to your door
18, almost 19 year old Abby Moore stared out the window as she listened to her MP3 player. Black hair caressed her face in razor-cut style, red streaks through black. Her hair reached her elbows and her grayish-green eyes had boredom in them.
“Yo! Abby!!!”
Abby turned down her music to look at her friend Jessica. Jessica had brown hair that reached right at her shoulders and baby blue eyes. She was only 17.
There’s no escape now
No mercy no more
No remorse cause I still remember
“Abby, have you ever heard of the Hessian?” Jessica asks.
“Well duh Jessica, I’ve read all about him. I even did a report on him.” Abby replied.
“Oh yeah……” Jessica smiled nervously.
Abby sighed. “Verruckte….” (Translation from German: Weirdo)
Jessica glared. “Abby, I don’t know what you said, but it sounded like German and it sounded like an insult.”
“I said ‘weirdo’ in German.” Abby said.
Jessica shrugged. Abby turned her music up.
The smile when you tore me apart
You took my heart
Deceived me right from the start
You showed me dreams
I wished they’d turn into real
You broke a promise and made me realize
It was all just a lie
The bus lurched to a stop and the teacher, Mrs. Thornton stood up. “Okay kids, off the bus one at a time.”
Abby got up and was about to get out of her seat when she bumped into someone. “Sorry…..” she said and looked up, seeing her arch enemy Miranda. “On second thought, I’m not sorry.”
Miranda just glared at her and got off the bus. “Hexe…” Abby muttered. (Translation: Bitch)
Abby got off the bus to meet up with Jessica and her other friends. They began to start the tour. “Excuse me?!” Jessica raised her hand.
“Yes ma’am?” the tour guide asks.
“Are we gonna see the Hessian’s grave?”
“No.”
“Aw, why not?”
“Because it’s believed that the woods are still haunted.”
“That sucks.” Jessica muttered.
“Hey, let’s ditch this and go somewhere else.” Abby whispered.
“Now you’re talking.” She replied and one by one, the girls were able to sneak away.
Sparkling angel, I couldn’t see
The dark intentions, your feelings for me
Fallen angel, tell me why?
What is the reason, the thorn in your eye?
They walked around town, looking at interesting things.
Abby was in one store, where 100 year old objects were. “Interested in something?”
She looked and saw a middle-aged woman standing behind a desk with a cash register on it. “I’m just looking.”
Abby looked and saw a necklace with the shape of a serpent hanging. “Whoa, cool….” She picked it up. “How much is this?”
“Hmmm, that’s a tough one. I say….10 dollars.”
“I’ll take it.”
Abby paid for the necklace and put it on. She left the store and was suddenly knocked down. She looked up and saw Miranda. “Watch where you’re going.” Miranda snarled.
Abby stood up and brushed herself off. “Whatever.” Abby flipped her off and ignored her.
“Don’t you walk away from me!!” something large and heavy connected with the back of her head.
Abby felt the back of her head and saw blood. She collapsed and almost lost consciousness when she heard Miranda and her friends speaking.
“Hey girls, I got an idea. Let’s drag her into the woods.”
Abby felt arms pull at her and she lost consciousness
When she woke up, she found herself tied to a tree. “What the?! Miranda!! When I get out of here, you’re dead!!!”
I see the angels
I’ll lead them to your door
There’s no escape now
No mercy no more
No remorse cause I still remember
Abby could tell it was getting dark and she was cold. She shivered. “Hello?! Would somebody help me?!”
No reply.
“Damn it, I’m going to kill that bitch when I see her.”
All of a sudden, she heard a rumbling noise and her necklace lifted off her chest. “What the hell….?” She said to herself.
Then, she heard a really strange gurgling noise and looked at a tree not too far away from her and saw the roots move and squirm.
NEEYYYIH
Abby gaped as she saw a horse come out of the tree, with its rider. It can’t be! The Hessian!!
The smile when you tore me apart
You took my heart
Deceived me right from the start
You showed me dreams
I wished they’d turn into real
You broke a promise and made me realize
It was all just a lie
The horse snorted and the Hessian saw her tied to the tree. She gasped as the horse approached her. Need a way out!! Damn Miranda, I’m gonna kill her next time I see her!!
The Hessian got off his horse and approached her, hand on sword.
Goodbye world. Abby thought and she clenched her eyes shut. She heard a sheathing sound and prepared for the impact. But she felt none, only that her bonds were cut.
“Alles in Ordnung?” (Translation: Are you alright?)
Abby opened her grayish-green eyes, only to stare into a pair of unnatural blue orbs.
“Uhhhh……Ja, ausgenommen mein ahre.” (Translation: Yes, except for my head.)
Could have been forever
Now we have reached the end
“Du sprich gro Duetsche.” He said. (Translation: You speak great German.)
“Das du sprich Englisch?” Abby asks. (Translation: Do you speak English?)
“Ja.”
Abby sighed in relief. “Bet you’re wondering why I was tied up to a tree.”
“Yes…it’s…..strange.” he said. She noticed he had a heavy German accent.
“Well, I was hit in the head with something, a rock I think. Then I was dragged out here and I was tied up when I woke.” Abby replied.
The Hessian thought for a moment. “Who would drag you all the way out here?”
“My enemy, Miranda.”
“Sonderbar name.” he muttered. (Translation: Weird name.) “What is your name?”
“Abigail, but call me Abby.”
“ABBY!!!! Where are youuuuu?!!!!” came Jessica’s voice.
This world may have failed you
It doesn’t give a reason why
You could have chosen a different path in life
“Who is that?” The Hessian asks.
“My friend, Jessica. They must’ve noticed I was gone.” Abby replied. “I have to go.” She walked past him.
“Wait, answer me something.” She turned to face him. “What year is it?”
“2007. If you decide to wander, be careful. People don’t really expect a man wearing armor and having a sword and riding a horse down the road. So, if you decide to go away from this place, stay in the shadows.” She advised him and ran off, looking for Jessica.
“Abby!!!!”
“Jessica!” Abby found her friends.
“Dude, what the hell happened? We looked all over for you.”
“Um, Miranda knocked me out and drug me out here, tying me to a tree.”
“How’d you get loose?”
“I just did.”
The smile when you tore me apart
You took my heart
Deceived me right from the start
You showed me dreams
I wish they’d turn into real
You broke a promise and made me realize
It was all just a lie
They headed back to the bus and as they were leaving, Abby swore she saw the Hessian in the shadows, watching her leave.
I hope I see him again.
Could have been forever
Now we have reached the end
Me: I do not own ‘Angels’ or ‘Within Temptation’. I don’t even know if I got the German right. I used an online German to English dictionary. Oh well.
