QUIET

Gilbert liked quiet.

Of course, if anyone who had met the rowdy albino heard this, they'd laugh it off and mirthfully tell the person that they must be mistaken, because Gilbert, the 'Awesome and Kickass Nation of Prussia', was anything but quiet.

That was true, Gilbert was hardly quiet himself, but the fact remained that he liked the quiet, and very occasionally when he wasn’t having so much fin being alone or getting drunk with his brother, he’d sneak off to his quiet spot (in his brother’s home but, hey, who’s splitting hairs here?).

It was in the back garden, the part sectioned off solely for Gilbert and where Ludwig’s three dogs weren’t allowed to go to (except the small Dalmatian, Gilbert couldn’t resist those puppy dog eyes when the sneaky little bitch aimed them at him). It had a small ceiling of green leaves from the two trees towering over the small corner, and protected relatively well from the elements by a sturdy stone wall.

It was dark, it was small, and it was quiet.

And it also had a rabbit hutch.

Yes, Gilbert the ‘God of Awesomeness’ had pet rabbits. Two of them, and only he and Ludwig (…and by default Feliciano and Kiku) knew about them. They were the ordinary domesticated, floppy eared rabbits – one albino and the other honey brown – but Gilbert loved them. Although that didn’t mean he turned mushy over them or anything like that, hell no. He was still Gilbert Weillschmidt! The Awesome Nation of Prussia!

(This happened occasionally, where Gilbert seemed to forget that his Nation no longer existed. In fact, it was theorised that the reason why Gilbert hadn’t vanished alongside his Nation was not because he had merely been renamed as East Germany, but because the albino’s ego was so bloated it got stuck in whatever hole dissolved Nations fell through)

It was why Gilbert liked quiet time though. He liked sitting with his rabbits in the little corner of the garden, catching a few minutes of dozing or just lazing around. He was like a German version of Greece except with rabbits instead of cats.

It was a secret though. Gilbert liked quiet time but only two (four) people knew that.
