Sorry for the long wait guys!

This is my last chapter for this story but rest assured, i will continue on with a sequal!

tell me what you think of it? please?

“What the hell did you do that for, Wolf?” Snake asked heatedly. “Now one of us has to go catch him and drag him back here.”

“What did I do? I told him that he was too young to kill people. How was I supposed to know that he’d blow up and run off?” Wolf asked. “He’s acting like a bratty teenager.”

“He is a teenager, Wolf.” Fox said. “He’s allowed to act like one sometimes.”

“Then he isn’t old enough to be doing what he’s doing. He just proved my point.” Wolf said, crossing his arms.

“It’s not about proving a point, Wolf.” Eagle said. “You pretty much just told him that after every thing you’ve seen him do, you still think he’s a little kid. Plus you sort of implied that he was some sort of heartless assassin trained by Scorpia to kill innocents.”

“One of us still needs to go find him.” Snake cut in. “We can’t let him wonder around out there. Some one call him.”

“I’ve still got his mobile.” Tom said. “I didn’t get the chance to give it back to him.”

“Great, then we’ve got to go hunt him down.” Fox said. “You shouldn’t have said that to him Wolf. You don’t know as much about him as I do.”

“How much do you know about him, Ben?” Wolf growled. “You went on one mission with him and suddenly you’re a Cub expert?”

“I know that it takes a lot to upset him. I know that he can take care of himself and I know that he’s completely alone.” Fox said.

“His parents are dead and his guardian is in the hospital.” Jet said. “We talked a lot while he stayed with my family, but he is welcome back there any time. He is not totally alone.”

“When are you going to tell us about that mission?” Eagle asked. “The one that made you quit MI6 and come back to the good old SAS.”

“When you have clearance or after I’m given permission. But when you saw him like I did there’s a whole new level of understanding there. Wolf, you saw him at Point Blanc, in rescue mode, I saw him in spy mode and it was scary. I can tell you that his own godfather betrayed him to the enemy and that I killed him.”

“You killed his godfather?” Snake asked.

“His godfather was going to kill us. He killed Alex’s parents.” Fox grumbled.

“Alex’s parents died in a plane crash.” Tom said quickly. “No one killed them.”

“His godfather planted a bomb on the plane. He pretty much pulled the trigger.” Fox said.

“So that’s why he lived with his Uncle.” Eagle mused. “Then Jack when his Uncle kicked it.”

“Wait.” Fox said. “Jack.”

“What about her? She’s fine; I talked to the doctors yesterday.” Snake said. “Oh crap.”

“The last bomb?” Wolf groaned.

“Inside St. Dominic’s.”

Alex kept running. He didn’t know exactly why but he knew that he had to get away from Wolf. He couldn’t deal with the man in addition to all the bomb’s, Crawley and Jack’s hospitalization.

Wait.

Jack.

St. Dominic’s was a military hospital that also catered to the rich and diplomats. Alex stopped running and looked up and down the street. There was a cab two blocks away coming toward him. Alex stepped to the edge of the street and stuck out his arm. The cab changed course and pulled to the side of the road next to him.

Alex jumped inside and slammed the door behind him.

“St. Dominic’s please.” He gasped out, buckling the seatbelt. The driver nodded and pulled away from the curb. Alex leaned back on the seat and looked at his watch. He guessed that there was about forty-five minutes left since he had talked to Mr. Smithers.

“Can you hurry up please?” Alex asked, trying to be as polite as the situation allowed.

“There’s traffic, alright?” The driver said, sounding annoyed. “We will get there in a half hour. Hold yer horses kid.” The driver’s tone told Alex to stop pestering him and sit quietly. Alex did so for fear of being kicked out of the cab.

The traffic cleared slightly and the cab surged forward. The driver cut on old woman in a silver car off, much to her very vocal protests. Alex held onto the back of the seat in front of him for dear life as the driver swung the car around a sharp corner, regretting asking the man to hurry up.

“See kid, I told you that we’d get there.” The driver grumbled as he got onto a less crowded road leading away from the city. Alex vaguely recognized some of the buildings that he had seen on his numerous trips home from St. Dominic’s with Jack.

Thinking about her gave him a dull ache in his stomach. He checked his watch again. Despite the speed of the car, the numbers on the watch seemed to be moving unusually fast.

Come on, Come on, Come on, Alex repeated the mantra to himself as the top of the hospital came into view in the distance. Alex bit his lip and looked back at the watch. He guessed that he had maybe ten minutes to get inside, find the bomb and deactivate it.

The cab turned into the parking lot of the hospital and the driver brought the car up to the front. He parked and turned around only to find that Alex had already jumped out of the car and was sprinting up the sidewalk to the front door.

A security guard sitting inside the doors jumped up and blocked Alex’s path, grabbing his arm and pulling him backwards.

“Where do you think you’re going in such a hurry, son?”

“I’m trying to find a bomb.” Alex growled trying to tear his arm out of the man’s grip. “It’s a serious threat, let go!”

“Kid, this hospital is a secure location, there’s no bomb.” The guard argued.

“Let me talk to who ever the hell is in charge! This is a legitimate threat!” Alex said, kneeing the man in the crotch. His arm was released immediately as the man doubled over.

Alex mad a mad dash for the staircase but was cut short when something attacked his legs, wrapping around his knees in a full out rugby tackle. Alex crashed down on the floor, breaking his fall with this elbows. The people in the lobby had stopped to stare at them but no one made a move to help.

“You don’t understand!” Alex cried as a second guard searched his pockets while the first held him down. “There’s a bomb!” His words started a panic.

People started yelling questions at the woman behind the desk while others ran for the doors. The guards were shouting too; giving orders for people to calm down. Alex used the confusion as a distraction and shoved the guards off of him.

People shoved and jostled him as they rushed towards the exits. More people were flooding down the staircases. Some one, most likely the woman behind the desk, had given the order to evacuate the building.

Alex fought his was past people and toward the stairs when a passing man caught sight of him running in the opposite direction and grabbed his arms, dragging him back down the stair case.

Alex kicked and fought the man but he was quickly aided by another man who helped to drag Alex out the doors and away from the building. Alex glimpsed his watch as he struggled.

Two minutes left.

There was no way humanly possible that he would be able to break free of the men and find the bomb. The only things that he could do now were hope and pray that every one was evacuated from the hospital before the bomb detonated.

“Alex!” Someone shouted his name from outside the throng of people. Alex craned his neck to see over the crowd and caught site of K-unit rushing towards him. James, Tom and Jet were on their heels.

It seemed that they had decided to leave Onkeish after all.

Eagle was the one who spotted him fighting the men dragging him away from the hospital. He plowed through the people, knocking them away to reach him. One of the men holding Alex saw him coming and let go of Alex’s arm before Eagle got there. Alex tore himself free from the other man.

He ignored Eagle as he pushed his way back toward the doors of the hospital. Bomb or not, he was going to make sure that Jack was safely outside when it collapsed.

“Cub! No!” Eagle shouted, chasing after him. “Get back here, there’s nothing you can do!” Alex ignored him and pushed onward through the never ending stream of people.

He had almost reached the doors when he felt a burst of heat sweep across his face. He closed his eyes and turned. There was a small boy, about five years old crying and being jostled by the larger people swarming around him. Alex caught him in his arms and turned his back to the building.

When the shockwave hit it was unbelievable.

The glass windows above him shattered, raining glass down on the people below. The bricks near the top of the building crumpled inward. Alex could smell smoke and feel the heat on his back and arms as he fell to his knees, still holding the boy out of harms way.

Small pieces of shrapnel peppered his back and neck. The roar of the hospital as it collapsed was deafening but the screams of the people were worse. Every one inside would have been killed instantly.

Tears blurred Alex’s eyes. He knew that Jack hadn’t gotten out in time. He hadn’t seen her anywhere and the ache in his heart confirmed what he didn’t want to believe.

Alex looked up and saw several blurry figures moving towards him. He let the boy go slightly but he didn’t move from Alex’s protective arms. It was Snake that reached Alex first.

“Cub, come on stand up. The explosions done and most of the bricks have stopped falling.” He said gently before he noticed the boy that Alex had shielded. “Boys, can you take the kid and try to find his mother?” He asked quietly.

James lifted the kid away from Alex and he, along with Tom hurried away to find the boy’s family.

“Alex?” Fox asked gently.

“I didn’t get to her in time.” Alex said hollowly, allowing himself to be pulled to his feet by Wolf. “She’s dead.”

He missed the momentary looks of confusion on K-unit’s faces before they understood what he was talking about.

“Shit... Jack.” Eagle said under his breath.

“She was all I had left.” Alex said in a toneless voice. “And now I don’t even have her anymore.”

“You’ve got your friends and us, Cub.”

“It’s not the same.” Alex said, not caring if he sounded childish. He had lost his last family. He was allowed to act this way.

"Alex. Come on." Ben said quietly. "We need to get out of here." He gently steered Alex away from the heap of rubble that was St. Dominic's.
