Chapter 1
The Fourth’s Sacrifice
Minato looked up from Gamabunta’s wart covered head staring solemnly at the monstrous being across from them it’s nine-tails crashing about in a frenzy of bloodlust and amusement, “Gamabunta, watch over my son when he signs your contract, please?”
“I will, however with Kushina gone, who will look after the boy once you pass?” the huge toad asked, glancing up at the man as the blonde man’s eyes watered silently.
“Have the old pervert look for my mother,” Minato lips curled slightly in a wet smile. “Being here in the Village Hidden in the Leaves may remind her of losing my father and uncle, but I know that little Naruto will heal those wounds, the moment she lays eyes on him.”
“Let’s hope you are correct in that assessment, your idealism that these idiots will see Naruto as a hero, will get him killed,” the old toad stated.
Minato held no real illusion’s that his beloved village will see Naruto as nothing more than a demon but he held a deep hope that his village eventually come to realize that his son was indeed a hero born to protect the village, “Just hope he meets a woman that’s as spirited as his mother and grandmother.”
The huge toad shuddered, the Namikaze men in his opinion were gluttons for punishment. If Naruto was anything like his father he’ll end falling for a girl that’ll reject his attempts for the first years of his young life violently, and then win her heart and the two would be joined at the hip. Minato went into a series of hands signs glancing behind him as the Death God quietly floated behind him. Gulping the hokage finished the hand signs, “Death God Seal!” he shouted and felt the huge pull of the raging red beast toward him. The monster screamed in rage feeling itself being push toward Minato, with a grimace the 4th Hokage felt the nine-tailed fox being pulled into him and a bit later pulled toward the god of death behind him. “I’ll be with you soon my love,” Minato whispered he saw an image of beautiful red-haired woman floating waiting for the last part of the seal to begin. “Seal!” he shouted watching as the chakra that was left behind when the body of the fox entered Minato suddenly shoot toward baby Naruto slamming into the boy’s stomach and a faint outline of the seal began to form. However at the last second something else shot into the seal, which confused the Hokage. The outline showed someone of average height with strange spiky hair but an innocent expression. “Seal Complete,” Minato gasped he dropped to his knees and felt his soul leave his body a warm hand enclosing around his.
“It’s time my beloved Minato,” the woman glanced down sadly at her beloved son. “I’m sorry my dear Naruto that I was never able to hold you in my arms, I hope when you reach the heavens long into the future that you’ll forgive me,” Kushina’s crystal tears fell to the ground one lightly hitting Naruto’s cheek before vanishing. With that Minato and Kushina vanished from the world.
Jiraiya looked at the report Gama had brought him and he closed his eyes to shut out the pain. As his luck would have it he was currently in the same town as Minato’s mother. “Thank you, Gama,” the toad nodded noting his master voice was thick with emotion. The normally super perverted Toad Sage was at this point very sedate and sick to his stomach, quickly leaving the confines he moved at his fastest pace heading for one of the surrounding casino where he spotted his current target, he made sure Gama had sent a special seal scroll to the 3rd Hokage that would notify the old man when Jiraiya was ready.
It didn’t take him long to find his target apparently she and her assistant were having a lunch break before his target resume her losing ways. “Tsunade,” Jiraiya spoke aloud walking up to the table. The woman in question looked to be about twenty years of age that however was a lie. The woman used a henge to hide her true age mainly to keep certain casino owner unaware of her sizeable debts. The woman however gave the Toad Sage an acidic glance before drinking her sake.
“What do you want you old pervert?” Tsunade asked. She felt uncomfortable ever since she first spotted him, one his usual perverted smile was not present when he spotted her, two his eyes were showing an immense sign of pain but even from her spot he used her chakra senses to tell her that he was the sign of perfect health. The last thing she noted was there were tear stains along the man’s cheeks. “Who died?” her heart felt cold losing their old sensei would be painful but one she could get over easily. However she had another person in the Leaf Village that mattered to her more than life itself. She had heard of the Nine Tailed fox heading toward the village and she was getting ready to leave for the village after she ate in hopes to help out. She noted that the Toad Sage wouldn’t of been broken too much about the old man dying either, that is when the cold chill began to creep into her heart, “Not Minato, please.” Jiraiya simply closing his eyes and his head drooping was enough. Closing her eyes immense in measurable pain centering around her entire being seem to crash in on her. Tsunade the Princess of Leaf Village, Granddaughter of the 1st Hokage, Great Niece of the 2nd Hokage, student of the 3rd Hokage, and mother to the 4th Hokage began to wail in pain as she felt her heart shatter in two. Jiraiya and Shizune tried to comfort the woman as best they could until the initial racking sobs subsided. “My little Minato,” she whimpered remembering all the times he would come to her asking for help in his homework, teaching him basic medical jutsu’s, or when he fell simply hug him to and kiss the injury to make it better, or to simply punish for doing something wrong. She had been present when he married Kushina and had been so happy for them. She decided to take year and go do something’s allow the young couple to be by themselves even with protest from both.
Jiraiya watched the slowly recover from the anguish he himself was feeling, “there’s something else,” he smiled slightly not his usual perverted smile. “Minato and Kushina had a son, tonight.”
Tsunade looked up her grief stricken face looked dull but the moment Jiraiya mentioned a child. “I’m a grandmother?” she asked in hope.
“Yes, but if we don’t get back to Village that not be true, very much longer,” the old sage stated Tsunade just glanced at Shizune before the two flew into action and had all their items packed. The toad sage had to laugh pulling out a scroll and unraveling it sending his chakra into the scroll. A second later all three had vanished from the casino lounge.
A few seconds later the trio were standing on top of the Hokage tower, on one side was Danzo, Fugaku Uchiha, and three of the council members all looking down at something behind them with killer intent in their eyes. Behind them stood the 3rd Hokage now dressed in his Hokage robes eyes looking both weary and sadden. Next to him were some ANBU, Hiashi Hyuga, and the infamous Ino-Shika-Cho trio. Tsunade however wasn’t focused on any of them her eyes were glued to the small bundle in a basket placed between the two groups. She knelt down and gently ran her fingers over the infant a sad smile written on her features. It wasn’t until this gesture that brought the group out of silence.
“Now with Princess Tsunade here we can begin this farce,” Sarutobi stated calmly.
“It’s no farce Lord Hokage, many in the village and many of the clans wants this monster destroyed,” Fugaku was never able speak another word a hand cover in chakra was suddenly at his throat he looked down his face growing pale. Tsunade eyes were glaring at him with cool killing intent coming off of her in a torrent.
“Would you care to repeat that Uchiha, that boy is the son of the 4th Hokage, Grandson of one to Legendary Sannin, Great Grandson of the 1st Hokage, and the Great Grandnephew of the 2nd Hokage,” Tsunade stated through her teeth.
One of the more braver council members spoke behind the Uchiha, “No the boy is a demon and must be dealt with accordingly, it’s what the 4th would have wanted.”
“If anyone of you so much as try and lays a hand on my grandson, I’ll personally sever you head from your shoulders,” Tsunade growled feeling the old man gently lay his hand on her shoulder.
“That won’t be necessary, Tsunade,” the hokage took a deep breath it had been nearly three years since he’d had to do anything in regards to command, “There will be no more killing this night, let us bury our dead and work to restore the village. Truth of what really happened to the Nine-Tailed fox will be made an S-Class secret, upon pain of death, nothing will be revealed to the younger generation.”
Danzo nodded, “That’s fine but what about the potential the boy could have. Allow me to take him.”
“If you think for one moment I’ll let my grandson be turned into one of your bastard puppets, you have another coming, Danzo,” Tsunade gently took the infant into her arms tears falling from her cheeks, “my son gave his life to protect this village, and all you want to do is rob this village of his heir and legacy, either by death,” she glared at Fugaku, “or by turning him into a emotionless weapon,” glancing at Danzo. “Neither is going to happen, I’ll take my little Naruto and raise him, he’ll grow into man like his father.” She then felt two soft little hands lightly patting her cheek. Looking down she smiled through tear filled eyes, the infant giggled brightly patting her face in joy. “That’s my brave little boy,” she whispered giving him a light kiss on his forehead.
Author’s Note: Well this one is going to be difficult I’m using a partial crossover DBZ will be implied as Minato inadvertently sealed Goku’s powers and essence inside Naruto, that means later on he’ll go super Saiyan during the Sound/Suna invasion. Plus he’ll have all the Saiyan benefits, he’ll gain strength and speed after each fight, meaning his battle with Zabuza we’ll help him beat Haku. His speed and strength will grow after each beating he gets in the village. Also this is a strict Naruto/Sakura fic.
