*Ok so I wrote this story for one of my classes this a the revised, longer, and less school appropriate one. It’s mostly about two new characters by the names Sam and Loah whom I own. Then of course I have included Luke and Noah. Oh and just so you know the original version did have Luke and Noah as a gay couple. I was lucky I didn’t get detention. Please read and review. Hope you like it.*

Sam O’Donnell sat at his desk twiddling his thumbs and staring at the clock. There were exactly two minutes left in his senior year at his Minnesota high school. The second this bell rang he was going to drive his uncles car, which was loaded with his stuff, up to the airport and fly eastward to his new home in Oakdale, Illinois.

Sam was a very handsome young man. He had a swimmers build and gorgeous brown think hair. Today he was clad in jeans, and a green flannel shirt. Another thing he wore was a huge smile. He was so excited to be moving!

His official reason was he wanted to get the lay of his new campus, and get settled into his rent-a-cottage that his parents helped him pay for. But in reality he needed a relocation. Not that he didn’t love his Podunk little town but it was so fucking suffocating!

Everywhere he turned there was someone pinching his cheeks and telling him they knew him when he was a baby. ‘That’s good for you only one question who the hell are you?!’ he always thought. Plus all of the girls here were always fawning over him. In the beginning it was fun but eventually it got annoying having them follow him home all the time.

He just needed to be somewhere nobody knew him. He needed alone time. If only he knew what was in store for him as the bell rang that day.

Sam sprang from his seat and ran out to his uncle’s green 1950’s style ford. It would be retrieved by his aunt later in the day. Sam started up the engine and raced off to the airport.

A half and hour later, Sam was checking his luggage. He only had one carry on and the rest was to be delivered to Oakdale later that day. Settling in his seat Sam took his laptop out of his messenger bag, and began writing an e-mail he promised his parents he would send them when he got the chance. After that he logged on to the Oakdale U and began checking out his new courses.

The flight may have lasted hours, but to Sam it seemed like minutes later, that he landed in Illinois. He rushed off the plane, signing the appropriate documents for his delivery and his rent a car. That is the very thing he jumped into moments later. His yellow, Yugo rent-a-car.

Minutes later, Sam was pulling up to his home for the next 4 years. The cottage was absolutely beautiful. It was stone and brick all around with a green shingled roof and matching door. There was a huge porch out front, white painted wood. But the most beautiful aspect of this house, Sam noted, was the woman sitting on the porch stairs. Smiling at him. This was by far the most gorgeous being Sam had ever come in to contact with.

He had to rub his eyes to make sure that her blond wavy hair, shining blue eyes, and slender, tall frame were all real. She was sexy as all hell and graceful to boot. As he got out of his car, she stood and presented herself.

“Well hello.” The beautiful woman said presenting her hand. “You must be the new tenant.” Sam just stood there for a minute shocked at the amazing voice she had. He was planted to the ground below him, and he had a delayed reaction in raising his hand in meeting hers.

“Um, yeah.” He said his voice shaky. “So w-what are you? The welcoming committee?” He joked. The woman chuckled. Sam took note that her laugh was even more beautiful than her voice. She sounded like an angel.

“I guess you could say that.” She said, staring into this deliriously handsome man’s eyes. She found his nervousness positively adorable and kept wondering if his heart was fluttering as hard in his chest as hers was. Honestly she had never felt like this around any man before. And she had not laid eyes on him more than 10 seconds ago!

Eventually she realized that their hands were still clasped together. So she awkwardly pulled hers away as she introduced herself.

“My name is Loah Snyder-Meyer. Your Sam O’Donnell?”

“How do you know my name?” Sam asked, grabbing his bag from the car.

“My great-grandmother owns this place, and she suggested I come down here and meet the new tenant.” Loah said leading Sam up to his front door. She looked down at his one lonely bag and couldn’t help but think this was all the boy had.

“Is that all you brought?” .Loah asked. Sam looked down at the bag as if just now acknowledging its existence.

“Oh no.” He said smiling. “The rest is going to be delivered later tonight. As he was speaking Loah pulled out the cottages key, and a piece of folded paper.

“Cool.” Loah said handing him both.

“Here’s your key and my number. Call me when it gets here and I’ll help you unpack.” As she spoke Sam slid past her and put the key in the lock. He swung the door open, but turned to her.

“You don’t have to do that. I’m sure your boyfriend wouldn’t want you to spend your time with some other guy.” ‘Smooth.’ Sam chastised himself that was so obvious he resisted the urge to slap his forehead in embarrassment

“I don’t have a boyfriend.” Loah said with a smirk, reaching past Sam and turning on the light.

‘Good to know’ Sam thought. He finally swung around and looked into the room. It was a quaint little cottage. Directly in front of the door there was a red sofa, followed by the bedroom doors. Behind the couch there was the dining room table and a hallway which led to the kitchen and bathroom.

“This place is wonderful.” Sam commented, laying his bag on the couch.

“Yes it is.” Loah said from behind him. “I used to spend a lot of time here when I was a kid.” Loah remained in the door jam not showing any signs of coming in.

Sam soon realized that Loah might be leaving him. That was a thought he simply couldn’t bear. Even if he had just met her, he really, really liked this girl. He had to know more about her.

“Um, I would love to hear more about your childhood.” Sam said. “Do you want to go some where and get coffee of something?” This made Loah smile. She didn’t want her time with Sam to end either.

“You know where to get coffee?” She asked sarcastically.

“Why don’t you show me?” He asked tossing her his car keys. She agreed and drove them down to the town coffee shop Java. They talked the whole way there, Loah more than Sam as he was to busy staring at her.

“You know this is probably the only Yugo left in all the world?’ Loah said smiling.

“I know.“ Sam said. “But I like one-of-a-kind things. Things that aren’t normal.” Loah nodded in agreement and they talked some more. As she did Sam noticed, though she said much about her childhood, she neglected to mention her parents. Fearing that it was a sensitive subject, he let it drop. Finally they reached a coffee shop ‘Java’, ordered and sat down.

“Sound like fun.” Sam said laughing his incredibly rouged, manly laugh that Loah was beginning to love. “So you live on a farm?” He asked.

“Yeah.” Loah answered, swirling her whipped cream and staring into Sam’s incredibly gorgeous brown eyes.

“I would love to come up sometime, meet your family” This statement caused Loah’s eyes to grow with fear.

“NO!” She yelled, her reaction of jumping causing her coffee cup to fall over and shatter on the floor.

“Ugh I am such a god-damned klutz!” She chastised herself. Sam asked the person behind the counter for a towel to clean up the mess. He got a couple and leaned down to wipe up the mess they had made.

“I don’t get it.” He said from the floor. “Did I say something wrong?” Loah shook her head and bent down to help him.

“No, no you didn’t.” She explained. “I’m sorry I freaked out and you really don’t have to be so sweet cleaning this up.” Sam shrugged as if it was no problem. Loah continued.

“It’s just, and I know this is gonna sound crazy because we literally just met but, I-- I think I really like you. I mean I haven’t felt this way about someone EVER, and my family could really mess that up.” Sam stopped what he was doing and raised Loah’s chin so they were eye-to-eye. Then he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her lips.

“Now Loah listen to me. In case you haven’t noticed. I think- no I know I really like you too. There isn’t much that could scare me off. Not even out of the ordinary families, trust me I’ve had practice with mine. Plus, if I give an amazing girl like you up because of your family, then I am to crummy a guy to deserve you anyway and you should dump me on the spot.” With that they finished cleaning and rose to pay their bill.

“Sorry about the mess Jeff Jr.” Loah said to the man behind the counter. “Tell your dad I said hi.” Jeff nodded and Sam took Loah’s hand, leading her out the door.

“Sam you are so sweet.” Loah said looking at her new….boyfriend?

“You know what would make me sweeter?” He said.

“Telling you what it is about my family that will scare you off?” She questioned him cleverly. He simply sat down on a bench outside and invited her to sit next to him and tell him all.

“Fine then.” She said settling in next to him. “Well… you see… I’m adopted, and before you say anything, no that’s not it. I was adopted at the age of 10 by a very nice, loving, caring couple. They were very young, only 23, but they loved me and I loved them. I had a wonderful upbringing. There is just one thing about them that is, lets say frowned upon by some people.” She looked up from her and Sam’s hands which she had been staring at to meet his expecting stare. “You see Sam my parents are,”

“LOAH!”

A voice called to them from across the street. The couple looked just in time to see a two men crossing over to them. One had Loah’s blond hair, only shorter. He was an average built man with a nice smile and a handsome face. The other man was about 6’2 with a swimmers build. He had short brown hair and Loah’s blue eyes.

“You know those guys?” Sam asked, smile in place.

“Yeah.” Loah answered, smiling slightly. “The blond is my dad, Luke Snyder-Meyer and,”

“Your dad?” Sam interrupted as the couple reached them. Loah tried to get his attention so she could finish but it was no use.

“Who’s dad?” Luke asked smiling. Sam stood and presented his hand to the gentleman.

“Your Loah’s dad correct?” The Luke nodded grasping Sam’s hand and shaking it.

“Hi I’m Sam O’Donnell. It is so good to meet you. Loah has mad it seem like the most interesting thing to do around here is meet you and your wife.” This caused the brunette man to break out in a smile and turn to look at a blushing Loah.

“His wife huh?” The brunette asked almost bursting out laughing.

“I never said wife!” Loah shrieked defensively slapping the man’s arm and laughing as well.

“Wait what did I miss?” Sam asked confused. The brunette simply presented his hand and introduced himself to Sam.

“Hi I’m Noah. The wife.”

Sam’s face went red, and Loah was waiting for him to yell, or scream, or SOMETHING! But, all he did was calmly turn to her.

“So I guess this is what you were trying to tell me?” She nodded and he again calmly turned, but this time to face the two men standing in front of him with a serious expression.

“In that case, I have something to say.” Both men went silent, not knowing how to react, if Sam was going to insult them, or scream or simply walk away. Loah felt the same way. All the men knew was even if he didn’t like them he’d better not hurt their little girl.

“Mr. and Mr. Snyder- Mayer, would it be okay with you if I were to take your daughter out on a date?” To say Loah was shocked would be an understatement.

“That’s it?” Loah asked a little loudly. “Your not going to say their going to hell? Your not going to yell and scream and storm off like all the other guys?”

“Now hold on Loah.” Noah said, placing a hand on her arm.

“Not every body is a Jimmy or a Donald okay?” Noah whispered. “There are guys out there who will love you regardless if your parents are gay or not.”

“He’s right you know?” Luke said smiling and slinking his arm around Noah’s waist. “Sam seems like a stand up guy, you should give people more of a chance. Don’t you agree Sam?” He asked looking at the boy.

“As a matter of fact I do. Look Loah, you know those guys your dad mentioned? Donald and Jimmy? Now I don’t know what they did or who they are but I know that there is one thing me and them will never ever have in common.” Loah raised her head to meet his eyes.

“What’s that?” She asked, hopeful and smiling.

“I will never do something that will result in loosing you.” Luke and Noah put their heads together in a very cutesy gesture.

“Aww.” They said in unison. Loah turned and gave them a deadly glare, causing them to chuckle. Then she turned back to Sam blushing.

“Thank you Sam that was sweet.” Sam turned to Luke and Noah parents expecting an answer to his previous question.

“Well?”

“Have her home by 10 and you feel free to come by the farm anytime you want.” Luke said to Sam, then he turned to Noah.

“Now speaking of dates, you and I were on out way to dinner just now, so we’d better get going.” Noah agreed and shook Sam’s hand again.

“Nice to meet you Sam. Bye Loah.” Luke and Noah started to walk away, Sam and Loah turned to watch them go.

“Come on baby lets so shake our grove thang.” Noah said, causing Loah to drop her head into her hands.

“Ugh they are so embarrassing.”

“Ehh they aren’t so bad. My brother and his boyfriend are pretty mushy too. Now weren’t you suppost to take me on a tour of the campus?” Sam asked Loah, smiling. He started to his car, leaving a smiling, stunned girlfriend standing in the middle of the sidewalk. Jaw dropped down to the floor. Halfway there he turned around laughing.

“What?”
