A/N: I don’t know where this story idea came from, but well I started to type it and this is what came out. In this Kagome is the “mother” of the vampire race, and does in fact have the Shikon no Tama in her body. The other InuYasha characters that have a remote chance of showing up would be Shippo, Sesshoumaru, and Kouga…oh and Kirara. Yes Kirara, because she is adorable.

Summary: Awakened from her slumber, Kagome comes to see how the world had changed while she slept. Joining Cross Academy and reuniting with a lover from the past, she will ultimately be a deciding factor in the struggle of power that will occur between Kuran Kaname and the Council. How will the presence of one of the creators of the Vampire race affect the outcome of the Vampire Knight series?

“Great ancestor, we call upon you during this time of great need…”

Crimson blood ran along the designs on the floor underneath a crystal coffin wrapped in chains. The Vampire council watched in awe as the elders continued the resurrection ritual. At this very moment they were going to awaken the first vampire; the one who had gave birth to their entire race. They were going to reawaken their “mother”, the one who created not only them but also the superior class known as the purebloods. The metallic smelling liquid pooled in the middle of the room, and shot up before swirling around the crystal.

A bright bluish-purple light shined from the floating tomb, and many stood back from the power that rolled from it. Feelings of excitement spiked through them all as they allowed the power to wash over them. They almost felt high off of the power as they felt it become stronger. This aura was far more powerful than even Kaname Kuran’s. “We call upon you to offer us your counsel during times of crisis, and to walk among us once more.”

CrackCrack

Cracks formed on the crystal, and the chains began to rattle.

The Vampire council watched in fascination as a large crack went down the middle before the two halves shattered into millions of shards. Gasps rang throughout the room as all eyes were transfixed on the form of their ancestor. To their surprise she looked no older than 16 or 17, but she held more power than them all combined. Hovering in the air, she had her arms wrapped around her legs with her eyes still closed as if she was sleeping. Her long ebony hair flared around her body, still swaying with an imaginary breeze.

Suddenly sharp dark blue eyes snapped open, and pierced them all with a scolding glance. She opened her lips, and their attention immediately stuck on her.

Why have I been awakened from my sleep?”

Instantly everyone was on their knees kneeling before her as she slowly lowered herself to the ground. Landing lightly on the stone floor, her hair fell down to her calves and some fell over her shoulders covering her nakedness. “The time to bow to me is not now…I want to know the reason I was awakened way before my time.” Motioning for them all to stand, she watched as a couple of vaguely familiar faces were in the front of her. One was a man that looked to be in his late 40s.

She eyed his blonde hair with a slight greenish tint to it. A clan name suddenly came to her mind, and she tilted her to the side. “Ichijo?” Nodding with a proud look on his face, he bowed at the waist before looking at her. “We are honored to have you among us Kagome-sama.”

Gesturing to his side, one of the others walked forward. “We have arranged for you to have a bath and clothes fitting of your station milady.” Nodding, she stepped forward and wasn’t surprised in the least the reaction she received. All of the vampires stepped out of the way, parting to make a way for her like she was Moses parting the sea. Glancing from face to face, she saw that any vampires she caught looking at her blushed before looking at the ground.

As she walked through the hall, she felt her eyes automatically adjusting to the change in lighting. Going up multiple steps, she let her mind wonder. How has things been since she had went to sleep, leaving everything to her beloved Kurans? She felt the presence of many vampires in this place, and wondered where the human servants were. Kagome turned her head towards the ceiling and closed her eyes.

The thought of all her descendants, she noticed that some of whose blood resurrected her seemed nervous. Something that usually wouldn’t bother her, but there seemed to be something else. She could sense it in their aura. Narrowing her eyes, her expression was impassive. ‘They are up to something…’

Finally reaching the bathing room, she allowed herself to be undressed before slowly sliding into the bathtub. After swimming around a little, she let herself sink down into the water. Lying completely still she sunk towards the bottom of the deep tub, and looked up towards the ceiling. ‘Everything has changed and even I can tell something isn’t right…why have they awakened me?’ After she was satisfied she swam to the shallow end and began to soap up.

Washing off the vanilla scented soap she stepped out, and in the next second the two female servants were drying her off with towels. Kagome was dressed in a dark blue Victorian gothic style dress with long sleeves that completely covered her hands. She decided that she wanted to go barefooted despite protests from the maids helping her; Kagome was taken to an isolated room. Sitting down in one of the big armchairs, she looked out the window and saw that the sun was in fact high in the sky. “It has been so long since I have seen the sun…”

The Vampiress’s thoughts were interrupted as she heard the door to the room open. Two pairs of footsteps were heard, as she lifted her head and saw Ichio and another young vampire. “Ah Kagome-sama, I would like you to meet my grandson.” Blue eyes connected with lively green, before a polite smile formed on her face. She watched as the boy walked towards her before kneeling and grasping her hand.

“Kagome-sama.”

Pinning the boy with a penetrating stare, she was amused when she felt him stiffen a little. At least he wasn’t ignorant of what she was by his reaction. Her scent alone let all those know the difference. Her scent was more intoxicating than that of Pureblood vampires. Clearing his throat, Ichio then looked at them with a contemplative look.

“I have made arrangements with Cross to get you enrolled in Cross Academy Kagome-sama.”

Tilting her head to the side, she raised an eyebrow. “Why exactly would I be attending Cross Academy Ichio?” The aristocrat nodded, as if he expected her to question this decision. The satisfied look on his face confirmed her thoughts. Obviously he wanted to see if she had her own thoughts, and was not just a figurehead like the other two creators were rumored to be.

“I know that it has been a long time since you have walked among us Kagome-sama, and because of this I thought that you would like to find out what has happened so far.” His eyes slid from her to his grandson, before connecting with hers once again. “Also I thought that you would love to meet the last Kuran…Kaname-sama.” Blue eyes widened in shock before she closed them, and clasped her hands against her chest. A soft smile grew on her face as she opened her eyes.

“I knew it…I could feel him…” Pressing her hand where her heart rested, she looked at them with a serious expression. “I will always know…” Letting her arms fall down to her side, she then looked out the window with a solemn expression. “Though I feel that something is going to happen, and it is going to shake the very foundation of the Vampire Society and the humans as well.”

The atmosphere seemed to drop as Kagome’s grip tightened on one of the armchairs. A light sheet of ice seemed to coat it, and the two Ichijos noticed that she didn’t even seem to feel the cold. Standing up abruptly, she then held her head up high. “I will be departing to Cross Academy after I am done getting things in order…the news of my resurrection is to be spread…” Going towards the door, she didn’t need to turn around to know that the two were following her.

“I want anything that is of importance sent to Cross Academy…I will handle everything from there.”

Resting his chin on his clasped hands, Kaien Cross stared at the two teenagers that were in front of him. He had gotten a message from Ichijo Ichio stating that a new student was coming to the school being escorted by his grandson. Looking up from the paper on his desk, his eyes connected with two pairs of eyes. “So this new student is important Headmaster?” Nodding, he had a solemn expression on his face.

“Yes any student that has Ichio personally sending a letter is extremely important.”

Cross Yuuki tensed as she noticed his tone and expression. Tugging nervously on her uniform skirt, she wondered who exactly this person was. During the Night Classes walk into the school, she had noticed that many of the vampires seemed excited about something. Even Kaname seemed a little distracted, and that in and of it self was unusual. There was never a time where Kaname was distracted.

Someone knocked on the door, and the Headmaster put on a cheerful smile. “Come in!” The door opened and Yuuki gasped in surprise, while the other guardian Kiryuu Zero growled softly. “I hope that I am not interrupting anything Headmaster.” Kind amber eyes stared at the president of the Night Class, and also the resident pureblood, Kuran Kaname.

Looking over at Yuuki and Zero, Kaname nodded before turning back to the Headmaster. “So he had sent you a letter about the new student as well?” The fact that this student was important enough that Kaname got a letter was surprising. Who was this person? Stepping over towards the window, Kaname leaned against it.

“Tomorrow evening Ichijo-san wants the Night Class and Day Class to be there to greet the new student and Takuma-kun.”

Reddish-brown eyes slowly shifted over in the direction of the man he helped make this academy. There was obviously something going on here. The silence was broken once again when Zero’s hands slammed down on the headmaster’s desk, startling Yuuki.

“What is going on here?! Since this new student is going to be in the Night Class, then they are obviously a vampire!”

Kaname lazily looked at the boy before he crossed his arms. “Yes I am sure that this person is a vampire, but I am not exactly sure as to who is this important.” Yuuki bit her lip as she looked over at Zero, and saw anger and hatred flash through his violet eyes. “Umm…Kaname-senpai?” taking a quick look at the brown-haired girl, he stood completely straight and smiled.

“Yes Miss Disciplinary Committee?”

Looking down at her feet, she wondered exactly what she wanted to say to him. Lately she had been feeling a sense of love for Zero, and she was sure that Kaname could tell. The one thing she noticed was that though he still was nice towards her, there seemed to be some kind of distant between them. This hurt a little more than she wished to admit though. Looking once more into those reddish-brown eyes, she mustered up her courage.

“How important is this person to warrant the attention of Ichijo-senpai’s grandfather?”

An unreadable gleam appeared in the pureblood’s eyes before he smiled. “I am not exactly sure, but we shall find out soon.” Straightening up, Kaname made his way over to the door. “Well Headmaster, I must go and make sure that the rest of the Night Class are behaving themselves and understand what is to happen.” Resting his chin on the intertwined fingers, he nodded.

“That would be helpful Kaname-kun.”

Giving one last stoic look towards Yuuki, he stepped out and closed the door behind him.

“I wonder who is person is that even Kaname-sama is being forced to meet them!”

Souen Ruka crossed her arms with a sneer as she glared at the table in front of her. She didn’t understand why they all had to meet this person, especially Kaname. There was no one else whose status was higher than Kaname’s that he is beckoned like any other vampire. Tightening her grip on the sleeve of her pink blouse as she clenched her teeth in anger, her dark brown eyes darted over to Kaname’s black clad form. A small chuckle erupted from across the table, and her narrowed eyes came to meet amused sky blue.

“Well Kaname-sama doesn’t seem to have a problem with it, so I don’t see why you do.”

A smirk slithered onto the blonde-haired vampire’s face. Really, he himself didn’t actually like the fact that Kaname was going forced to meet this new student. Really if Kaname didn’t want to, then it shouldn’t be required that he did. Ichijo-sama seemed to have been very resolute that Kaname should be there to greet the new student. Silence filled the room, and all the vampires looked at each other.

“There is sure to be a good reason as to why I have to be there…after all I myself want to find out who is person is.”

Bringing a hand up, he ran his hands through his bangs. Looking at all the faces in the room with reddish brown eyes, and he smiled. “I have a feeling that this person shall be very interesting.”Crossing his legs while he leaned back into his chair, he looked at everyone. Looking over at the chess game in front of him, he moved his one of his pieces.

Checkmate.

Gazing up at the clock, he saw that the time was nearly here. Standing up, he didn’t have to look to know that everyone else got up as well. Going over towards the door, he opened it and made his way towards the front gates. The night was still as all the vampires made their way to the “rendezvous” point. A breeze went through the air, and seemed to caress Kaname’s cheek.

Though he kept walking, a look of surprise appeared on his face. Not even a second later his face was stoic once more, and he saw the gates up ahead. Like he expected the Day Class there, all dressed up. The pureblood ignored all the annoying squeals of the human girls, and made sure that all the vampires stayed on their side. Glancing over at Yuuki and Zero, he noticed that Yuuki was staring at him with a worried look.

Usually that would make him feel fondness for her, but now it did nothing to him. She had made her choice, and he would respect that. Nothing can ever be between them but passing friendliness. Looking down at his watch, he noticed that the new student shook be arriving right now. The gates opened slowly, and everyone saw a limousine stop.

The humans were of course talking excitedly about who it could be, and squealing at seeing the Night Class in formal clothing. Yuuki was nervous, and wondering what kind of person this new Night Class student would be. Looking over at from underneath her bangs, she hoped that he wouldn’t react violently towards this vampire. Brushing imaginary dust from the skirt of her blue dress, she fiddled a little with the sleeves. She wasn’t really comfortable in these formal clothes, plus she didn’t have her weapon with her.

Zero, himself didn’t seem to actually care much. He was wearing a black and white dress shirt with black dress pants and shoes. His gun was in the pocket of his pants, and he had his hand on it. The former vampire hunter in training was ready in case anything happened. Regardless of what anyone said, he would never be comfortable around these vampires.

If this new vampire thought that they could do anything they wanted, then they would have a rude awakening accompanied with a bullet to the head.

The door to the limousine opened and a blast of power seemed to hit the vampires, and others that were aware of vampires. Many of them took a step back at the power in the wave, and were waiting to see who it came from. Ichijo Takuma stepped out of the limousine and stood outside the door. The humans were confused at Takuma’s appearance, and were wondering where the new kid was. As if answering them, he reached a hand towards the door and a smaller and paler hand reached out to rest in his.

A petite foot came out of the limousine and was followed by the rest of the new student. When the moonlight fell onto her and revealed her to everyone, gasps rang through the crowds. The humans were in awe of her beautiful dark features, and her exotic eyes. They were blue and yet seemed to be changing between different shades of the color. Her long black hair was wavy and reached a little reached her calves.

She was short about Yuuki’s height, but the vampires were not deceived by her appearance. What shocked them the most was the fact that her aura was much more powerful than any of them, including their Kaname-sama!! Speaking of their Kaname-sama, he had moved an inch once he saw her. His reddish-brown eyes were wide and seemed to be transfixed on the delicate looking vampire. The vampire in turn seemed to have eyes only for Kaname, as she was escorted towards them all by the blonde vampire.

Ruka stepped towards Kaname, and laid a hand on his arm. “Kaname-sama?” He didn’t seem to hear her nor even acknowledge her existence as he stepped forward. “Kagome?” A hurt look appeared on Ruka’s face, and she was about to ask what was wrong when a voice stopped her.

“It has been a very long time Kaname.”

End of Symphony 1

It seems that I am actually done with the first chapter! I have been working on this for a while, and I thought that this would be the best part to end the first chapter with! There shall be lemons galore in this story, I am very excited about what I am going to do with this story. If you have some questions you are free to ask, and I may answer them. If I don’t then you will find out your answer in the next chapter.
