Hello everyone,

I said the next instalment of Tari's story "Friend Or Foe?" would be up next week. Well here we are with the first chapter.

Yes I know I have two other stories on the go, but I like to multitask and be busy. Ask my friend CaptainKai01869 if you don't believe me.

I want to thank CaptainKai01869 as she is a big help to me with checking my spelling and gramar as well as help with some ideas.

Anyway to set the scene, basically this story happens six months after the events in "Voltaire's Revenge". So if you haven't ready that story then I suggest you go and do so. Otherwise you won't know who some of the characters are. Not that it matters too much as a lot of new characters get brought into this story.

So this story is a Regiobnal Championships that happens between V-Force and G-Revolution, but after the World Championships that happened in "Voltarie's Revenge" ok. So once again this story will be all my ideas, no help from episodes all me and my big imagination. So any criticism would be great as well as any hints or tips.

Chapter 1: Look Out Egypt, Here Comes Trouble

Six months had passed since the events at Biovolt and the BladeBreakers becoming World Champions for the second time in a row. And things had pretty much stayed the same at the Demolition Boys’ base. The only thing that had changed was how much time Tala and Tari spent together, but thanks to Kai’s overprotective nature things didn’t go too far…

“Ian will you sit down and shut up!” a grey haired teen stated rather loudly as he glared down at the indigo haired teen kneeling up in his seat next to him. He was too tired to put up with this and just wanted the shorter teen to sit down and behave.

“Why Bryan? All I asked was if we were there yet. What’s wrong with that?” Ian asked innocently as he looked into the hard stone grey eyes of the older teen.

Bryan growled. “You ask that question every two minutes, and you’re drumming on my last nerve. If you don’t sit down and shut up right now. I will throw you out the window!” he stated even louder making a few of the other passengers look at the Russian group.

Ian thought about what Bryan just said and then replied. “But we’re over the ocean” he said in a clueless voice as he was confused.

Bryan’s eyebrow twitched in annoyance. “Exactly shrimp, you’ll be fish food, shark food hopefully” the grey haired teen stated as he crossed his arms and turned to look out the small airplane window.

Ian then frowned and went to say something back to the grey haired teen, but the person sat on the other side of him stopped him. The shorter teen looked up at him. “Ian, I wouldn’t if I were you. You know what Bryan’s like when he’s angry” the sandy brown haired teen said.

“Hn, fine Spencer, I won’t. I was getting bored winding Bryan up anyway” Ian stated as he sat down in his seat properly and began kicking the chair in front of him. Spencer shook his head and turned his attention back to his magazine.

In the seats in front a dual bluenette teen was reading his book, when he noticed that the dual brunette next to him was leaning on the flame red haired teen. “You can push her off you know, Tala” he said as he put his book down and looked over at the captain.

“I know Kai, but I don’t want to. Besides I’m amazed she can sleep through Bryan and Ian arguing” Tala joked as he looked down at his lover’s face. She looked so peaceful; her fringe covered her eyes slightly and stuck out against her pale skin.

Kai hn’d. “Well she’s used to them fighting and besides she was the one who drove us all to the airport” he said as he smirked down at his sister. “Only because she got the short straw” Tala added.

“Yeah, good thing I made sure she got it” a voice from the seats behind said. Tala and Kai looked at Bryan. “You should count yourself lucky she didn’t hear you say that, Bry” Kai stated as he crossed his arms. Bryan just frowned.

Unknown to the teens the dual brunette was half awake due to the person behind her kicking her seat constantly. She tried to ignore it when it first woke her up, but now it was beginning to annoy her. ‘If the kicking continues for much longer, I’m going to hurt whoever it is’ she thought as she tried to ignore it once more.

The kicking didn’t stop though, it got harder. She clenched her fists and growled in the back of her throat and sat up. “Stop kicking my seat shrimp! Or I’ll mail you back to Russia, piece by piece!” she stated loudly making more passengers look in the direction of the Russian group.

Ian looked up at the angry teen and gulped, as she was as scary as her brother when she was angry. If not worse. “Sorry Tari” he said in a small tone as he sunk right down in his seat, trying to coward away from the angry teen.

Tari hn’d and turned back around and crossed her arms as she sulked in her seat. “Ian is so childish, when is he going to grow up and stop messing around” she mumbled as she frowned.

“Ian isn’t the only one who’s acting childish, Tar” Kai commented as he slyly looked at his sister from the corner of his eye.

Tari glared at her brother. “Well he’s the one who woke me up. It’s ok for you guys, you got to sleep all the way to the airport” she said as she stretched trying to wake herself up.

Kai shook his head. “Remind me never to wake up in the middle of the night” he muttered as he turned his attention back to his book. Tari glared at her brother and growled slightly until someone moved some of her hair out of her eyes.

She turned and looked directly into an icy pair of light violet eyes. “Ignore him, Tar. He’s just trying to get under your skin” he said as he gently caressed Tari’s cheek.

Tari smiled. “I know, Tala” she said as she moved her head closer to his. Tala smirked and moved his head closer to hers and kissed her on the lips. Tari pushed her lips against his and deepened the kiss.

Kai looked over at the couple and sighed. “Do you two have to kiss, everywhere you go?” he asked. The couple broke off the kiss and Kai just shook his head knowing he wasn’t going to get an answer.

Tala sat back in his seat with his arm wrapped around Tari who was leant on his chest. He ran his fingers through her hair and smiled. Tari sighed in content and enjoyed the rest of the flight.

A few hours later the plane touched down in Egypt and the team made their way out through the airport to collect their luggage. Things were going well until Ian decided that he would get his own back on Bryan for his comment on the plane.

When he saw Bryan’s suitcase come around on the conveyorbelt he undid the straps and then walked away quickly with his suitcase under his arm.

“IAN!” came a shout that filled the airport. People looked around in fright not really sure what was going on. Ian looked over his shoulder and saw a really ticked off Bryan glaring at him. Ian gulped and ran for his life.

The grey haired teen chased after him. “Just wait until I get my hands on you shrimp. You’ll wish you’d never been born!” he stated as he dodged people who were scared to see him running towards them.

Tala, Kai, Tari and Spencer all sighed. “I’ll go make sure they don’t hurt anyone or themselves” Spencer said as he walked over in the direction that the two teens had disappeared.

“They had better not be like this the whole time we’re here” Tari said. They had only just arrived in Egypt and already Ian was getting on her nerves and Bryan wasn’t helping the situation much.

Kai crossed his arms. “If they do, I think we should make them walk back to Russia” he stated. Tari chuckled slightly and Tala smirked.

“I guess we had better get the luggage then” Tala said with a small frown. He picked up his case and Spencer’s case while Kai picked up his case and Bryan’s case and Tari picked up her case and Ian’s case and the three of them headed out of the airport.

A few minutes later the other three members of the Russian team emerged from the entrance of the airport. Spencer had Ian held off the ground, but he was struggling like mad to get out of the taller teens’ grip. Bryan on the other hand had a scowl on his face and was muttering something.

“If you two are going to keep arguing and fighting then we might as well turn around and go home and you will both have double training for 3 months” Tala stated as he crossed his arms.

Bryan hn’d. “It was the shrimp’s fault” he stated. The rest of the teens then looked at the indigo haired teen who was still being held up by Spencer. “I’m sorry Tala. I’ll behave” he said.

Tala nodded and Spencer dropped Ian on the floor. “So how are we supposed to get to the hotel? I mean according to the directions it’s miles away from the airport” Bryan stated as he looked up at his captain.

“It’s not miles away Bryan; it’s in the middle of town near the sea front. Not far away at all” Tala said as he looked at the directions that Mr Dickinson had sent them.

“I’m not walking, it’s too hot, to far away and we have lots to carry” Bryan moaned as he crossed his arms. “You know Bryan, I never thought you would be so much of a moaner” Tari stated

Bryan glared at the younger Hiwatari sibling. “We could take a camel, after all it is the local traditional transport” Spencer suggested as he saw some people go by on camels.

He turned around to see the other teens staring at him in disbelief and giving him a look that said “you have to be kidding me”. Spencer chuckled slightly and looked away slightly embarrassed.

“Or we could all chip in and get a taxi” Tari said as she gestured over to the taxi rank that was on the other side of the airport entrance. The other teens followed the dual brunettes gaze and they all agreed.

The team ended up getting two taxis due to the fact that their luggage took up so much room. Tala, Bryan and Spencer were in one taxi and Kai, Tari and Ian were in the other.

Tala and the others arrived first. They got out, paid the driver and then waited for the others to turn up. A few minutes later they heard the screech of tyres as the other taxi pulled up at the hotel entrance.

Kai and Tari got out first and they were both glaring at the shortest teen, who got out last. The taxi driver was shouting in Egyptian, a language that none of the teens could understand, but he sounded angry. Tala walked over “what happened?” he asked.

“The shrimp happened” Kai stated as he glared down at Ian. Tala glared at him too. He then walked over to the driver, apologised and paid him extra for the trouble.

“We’ll talk about this later Ian. For now lets just get into the hotel and check in” Tala said as he picked up his luggage and entered the hotel with the rest of the team following him.

The teens waited in the lobby whilst Tala went to go and check them in. Ian was standing next to Spencer since he was the only one who wasn’t going to threaten to rip him apart or hurt him. Tala returned moments later holding some room keys.

“Ok, Mr Dickinson set us up with four rooms. Two with two beds and two with single beds. So that means that four of us will have to share and two of us will get rooms to ourselves” Tala said.

“Well you and Tari aren’t sharing, I can tell you that much” Kai said as he crossed his arms and glared at the flame red haired teen. Tari shook her head; as she knew Kai would say that.

Tala rolled his eyes. “I think Tari should have a room to herself, as she’s the only girl. So here you go, Tar” he said as he handed her a room key.

Tari nodded, took the key and then sat down as she was sorted. She knew it would take a while for the boys to sort themselves out and she didn’t want to be stood for ages.

“I think we should put Ian on his own as well, and then we won’t have to deal with him” Bryan stated as he glared down at the indigo haired teen.

Tala shook his head. “If we put Ian on his own then we’ll end up paying for room damage” he said. Kai and Spencer agreed.

“So who are we going to put him with? He needs to be with someone who can sort him out and scare him. But not me as if he ticks me off I’ll throw him out the window, or do something worse” Bryan said.

Tala and Kai looked up at Spencer and Spencer sighed. “Fine, I’ll bunk with the shrimp” he said as he took a room key from Tala’s hand.

“Thanks Spencer. Ok, so that leaves one single room and one double room. I think I should get the single room as I’m the captain” Tala said.

Bryan huffed. “There’s no way I’m sharing with Kai” he stated. “I think I should get it, after all I’m the second oldest, after Spencer” he said.

“I don’t want to share with Kai and have him lecture me about what I do with Tari” Tala stated. This made Tari bush a little and Kai growled slightly under his breath.

Tari then sighed. “Some time today would be great guys” she said. The three boys looked at her. “Oh, I suppose you have a suggestion, Stripes?” Bryan said in a hard tone.

The dual brunette glared back at him. “As a matter of fact I do. You and Tala share and Kai gets the room on his own. That way there will be no arguing, lectures or whatever” she said.

The three boys looked at each other. “I like it” Kai said. “Yeah me too” Tala agreed, they both then looked at Bryan who huffed. “Fine, sharing with Tala is interesting anyway as I can tease him” he muttered to himself as he grabbed a key from Tala.

Kai grabbed the last key and then followed the other three towards the lifts. Tala headed over to Tari. “That was a smart idea, Tar. Let me guess you wanted to get Kai off your back?” he asked.

“Yeah. If we want him to ease off, we’re going to have to show him that we know when to act responsible” she said as she picked her bag up. She then jumped slightly as Tala placed an arm around her waist and leant against her.

She looked up at him. “I’m glad you came too, Tar” he said as he placed a small kiss on her forehead. Tari smiled and then they walked towards the lifts and then went their separate ways as they left for there rooms.

Tari opened the door to her room. It was pretty plain with only a bed, a chest of draws, a wardrobe and a dressing table. But she didn’t care as she’d only be in there for sleeping. She placed her suitcase down on the bed and then headed out the glass doors and onto the balcony.

She leant on it and looked down at the view of the lower part of the town and then the beach and the sea. It looked so beautiful and inviting. The wind played with her hair which was up in a loose ponytail. She closed her eyes and took in the breeze.

“Having fun?” a voice from the side of her said. She opened her eyes and saw Kai standing on the balcony next to hers. He had a small smirk on his face.

“Just enjoying the view” she said as she leant on the balcony railing more and looked out at the ocean. Kai came and stood as close as he could to her.

“Have you thought about what you’re going to do while we train and get ready for the tournament?” he asked as he looked over at his sister.

Tari met his gaze. “I’ll probably help you guys out, I mean there are 5 of you, so you will need someone else to make it even” she said.

Kai nodded. “You know Tar. You and Tala are going to have to tone things down a bit. I mean we want our captain to concentrate on the matches” he said.

Tari narrowed her eyes and frowned slightly at her brother. But she knew he was right. “I know Kai” she said as she looked away slightly. “Not that you guys will have a problem beating some amateurs” she continued.

Kai smirked. “That may be so. But we need to focus, nonetheless” he said. She nodded. “Well, we’d better unpack” she said. Kai nodded and they returned to their rooms.

A few hours later after the teens had unpacked and settled into their rooms. They decided to venture out into the town and find somewhere to eat as well as look around the town.

After a few minutes of looking around at the shops and the places that were in the town, Ian moaned that he was hungry and as Bryan couldn’t put up with it anymore he pleaded that they would go somewhere to eat.

Once they all agreed on a place they went in and began to enjoy their night out. Until Ian decided he was going to muck about and ticked Bryan off.

“Well I doubt we’ll be allowed back in there” Tari stated as the team headed back to the hotel. She was walking next to Tala in front of Kai and Bryan, but behind Spencer and Ian.

“You two are going to get extra training for this. And if I hear one more argument from you, we will be going back to Russia and you two will have to clean the whole base from top to bottom” Tala stated as he looked from the shortest teen to the grey haired teen.

“I don’t see why I’m getting blamed and punished. I mean you guys get ticked off by Ian as well” Bryan stated as he crossed his arms.

Tala sighed. “That may be true Bryan, but we don’t hurt him. We only threaten to hurt him” he said as he glared up at the older teen.

Bryan mumbled something under his breath, he knew better than to argue with his captain. As they both had short tempers and as Tala wasn’t in the best of moods, now was not the time for an argument.

They made it to the hotel and headed up to their rooms. Bryan, Spencer and Ian said goodnight and headed into their rooms.

Tala walked over to Tari and gave her a kiss on the lips as he wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled into his chest. He then broke off the kiss and pulled her closer.

They broke apart slightly when they heard someone clear their throat behind them. They looked up and saw Kai who was glaring at them slightly.

Tala gave Tari one last small kiss in the cheek. “Night Tar” he said as he smiled at her and then entered the room he was sharing with Bryan.

Kai was glaring at Tari. She shrugged and was about to head into her room, but Kai grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a hug. “Night sis” he said as he hugged her close.

“Night Kai” she said. He then let go and Tari headed into her room and went to bed.

Well that's it for chapter one. I know a few of the characters might be a little OOC, but I promise I will sort that out for the next chapter.

Also like I said new characters will be appearing soon as will some old ones. I bet you can't guess who... well you'll find out in the next few chapters.
